*****

While the public was still processing the miracle, another bomb dropped.

A shaky phone recording appeared online.

Alex was standing in the national training parking lot, shouting at Coach Matthew.

His voice cracked with rage as people around turned to look.

"You ruined my career! You lied to ! YOU LIED!"

Matthew snapped back, stepping into Alex’s face.

"You think you didn’t deserve it?! You were NOTHING without !"

Matthew shrugged "I told you it would be risky and you choose so own up to your mistake and stop being a child."

Alex of course didn’t take this well fueld with anger.

Insults flew.

Matthew walked past Alex not wanting to drag the matter.

But Alex pushed him.

The United States had gone from crisis to drama to miracle in one week.

Although it was only the swimming team but it made up for it a whole lot.

And most people still didn’t understand how any of it was possible.

****

Because of the chaos online, the U.S. Olympic Committee called for a sudden press conference.

Dozens of reporters crowded the room.

Caras flashed nonstop.

Richard entered, calm as always, wearing a simple navy jacket.

No smile, no excitent—just a neutral expression that sohow made everyone sit straighter.

He took the mic.

"Good afternoon."

Reporters attacked imdiately.

"Coach Richard, how did your team manage to increase their qualifiers after the scandal?"

"How did these athletes improve so quickly?"

"Was there a special training thod?"

"Did soone assist you?"

"Are the rumors about an anonymous strategist true?"

"Did you really identify weaknesses for over fifty swimrs in three days?"

Richard lifted a hand, and the room slowly quieted.

"The success you’re seeing," he said, "is not a miracle. It is the result of discipline, structure, and effort from both coaches and athletes."

They waited.

He continued.

"I did not do this alone."

Reporters leaned forward imdiately.

"Who helped you?"

"What’s their na?"

Richard shook his head calmly.

"They wish to remain anonymous until after the Olympics. And I will respect that."

Confusion swept the room.

Reporters exchanged looks.

One of them asked,

"Why would anyone refuse credit for sothing this big?"

Richard answered simply:

"They are not interested in attention. They only wanted to help the team."

Another reporter asked,

"Was it a coach? An external specialist?"

Richard replied,

"You’ll know when the ti is right."

The room buzzed with suspicious whispers.

But Richard never slipped.

Never panicked.

Never revealed what he shouldn’t.

Exactly as Dayo wanted.

After the conference ended, Richard stepped outside into the evening breeze.

For the first ti since he took up the head of swimming team, he allowed himself a small, quiet smile.

Two weeks of chaos.

Two weeks of pressure.

Two weeks of rebuilding a broken team.

But now?

They had done what nobody else in the world could.

The United States was sending a stronger swimming team to the Olympics than ever before.

And deep inside, even though the world didn’t know it...

A single 20-year-old rookie had been the hidden engine behind the entire miracle.

The road to Paris had officially begun.
