Chapter 111: Done
Two days had passed since Dayo and Luna finished recording Say Sothing. The studio still carried the energy from that mont.
But there was no ti to slow down — he had more songs to record, more stories to tell.
Over the next few days, Dayo worked nonstop. He recorded with his new artists one after the other.
First was Rex, a young but passionate singer who had shown massive potential since joining JD Records.
Rex’s collaboration with Dayo was for the song All of
by John Legend. Dayo had chosen it carefully — a song about pure love and vulnerability.
Before all of this, Dayo had already checked their compatibility using his skill Perfect Match.
Skill: Perfect Match
Song: All of
Artist: Rex
Compatibility: 90%
That ant their voices and emotions were almost perfectly aligned for the track.
They started in the afternoon, and by night, the studio was filled with deep, warm notes from both of them.
Rex handled the opening verse with honesty, his voice trembling slightly but filled with emotion.
> "What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawing
in, and you kicking
out..."
Dayo ca in on the next line, blending his tone effortlessly with Rex’s softer pitch. Their voices lted together — like two different shades of the sa color.
When they finished, Rex looked amazed. "Sir, that felt unreal... I’ve never felt sothing like that before."
Dayo smiled. "You did great. That’s what happens when you connect to the song — not just sing it."
They replayed the track, and even Wayne, who had been mixing from the soundboard, nodded slowly.
Valery clapped her hands lightly. "That one’s going to lt hearts," she said.
By the ti they wrapped up, it was already close to midnight, but nobody wanted to go ho. The song was too beautiful to stop listening to.
Dayo made a few changes to the song since it wasn’t originally a duet, but it wasn’t difficult for him. With his A– rating in songwriting and the help of his card, everything went smoothly.
The next day, Dayo worked with the second artist — Elara, a young woman with a soft but strong voice. For her, he had picked Soone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi — a song about loss, healing, and learning to move forward.
When he checked the Perfect Feature skill, the result ca up as:
Skill: Perfect Feature
Song: Soone You Loved
Artist: Elara
Compatibility: 88%
Another great pairing.
The mood was heavier during this session. The lyrics hit deep, and both of them felt it.
Elara’s eyes glistened slightly as she sang the first verse:
> "I’m going under, and this ti I fear there’s no one to save ..."
Dayo’s harmonies ca in softly, almost like a whisper. The balance between their voices carried the pain and beauty of the song.
Even Wayne had gone quiet — just watching, just listening.
When they finished, Elara removed her headphones slowly. "That... that was sothing else," she said softly.
Dayo nodded. "That was good. I’m happy you did your part well."
They both smiled faintly. Elara looked proud. She had given her all.
Dayo was satisfied with both Rex and Elara since he had only given them the songs three days ago, and they both delivered perfectly, saving him a lot of ti.
After nearly a week and a half of constant recording, there was only one song left. This ti, Dayo wanted to end the album with soone special — Miguel.
Miguel had been his first opponent in the Global Competition, and though Dayo had beaten him back then, they had stayed in touch ever since.
When Miguel arrived at the JD studio, there was a brief silence before both of them broke into laughter.
"Man, I can’t believe this!" Miguel said, walking forward to hug him. "You still look the sa, Dayo. Just more serious now."
Dayo chuckled. "You too. I see you’ve been keeping busy."
Miguel grinned. "Yeah, though not as much as you. I’ve been seeing your na everywhere lately."
Dayo smiled modestly. "Trying to make things happen, that’s all."
They talked for a while, catching up on old mories and laughing about their early days in the competition.
Then Dayo got straight to the point. "So, how did you like the song I sent you?"
Miguel nodded, interested. "Nice choice. I love that one."
Dayo smiled. He had checked the Perfect Feature skill earlier and the results were:
Skill: Perfect Feature
Song: mories
Artist: Miguel
Compatibility: 85%
aning they were good to go.
They started recording right after lunch. The song flowed naturally — nostalgic but alive.
Miguel took the lead on the first verse, his tone steady and emotional:
> "Here’s to the ones that we got,
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you’re not..."
Dayo joined in on the chorus, his deep, smooth voice blending with Miguel’s lighter tone.
Their harmonies filled the studio, and by the ti the last note faded, even Wayne looked speechless.
"That," Valery whispered, "was perfect."
Miguel smiled. "Guess we still got it, huh?"
Dayo grinned. "Yeah. We always did."
They hugged again, this ti with quiet respect — two artists who once competed, now creating sothing powerful together.
By the end of the session, the studio was buzzing with excitent. The album — which now had twelve songs — was finally complete.

Nobody would have believed that Dayo recorded seven songs in less than two weeks, which included three solos and four collaborations.
But he had done it.
The long nights, the stress, and the energy he poured into the project made him feel fulfilled.
Dayo leaned back in his chair as the last mix played softly in the background.
He smiled to himself. "Yeah," he murmured, "this... this was worth it."
