The consecutive deaths of their companions in a short period left Qin Chuan and Su Jieyi feeling very uneasy, especially Su Jieyi.

These two people, as it stands, are not good partners.

When facing a fierce ghost, having more people isn’t helpful at all, just like before, the ghost can kill silently.

A companion whose emotions are out of control is like an extrely unstable bomb.

But... Xu Zhifei could leave, but Du Shangjing couldn’t.

"Forget it, let her go." Du Shangjing finally spoke.

No one can make choices for others, especially in the Fog Gathering where life and death are at stake.

Du Shangjing withdrew his gaze, Xu Zhifei’s silhouette had already disappeared from view; she seed to have run to the open space outside the building.

He let out a long sigh, ntally encouraged himself, and stepped up.

Du Shangjing was already ntally prepared for what the second floor might look like.

Simultaneously, he was prepared to turn and run if things looked wrong.

But what he saw completely exceeded his expectations.

"Ugh..."

The strong stench and visual impact almost caused Du Shangjing to fall to the ground!

He finally understood what that strange sll he had noticed earlier was.

Corpse stench!

The second-floor living room was very empty, with nothing extra, only its floor was piled with corpses...

"What happened?"

Qin Chuan and Su Jieyi, who followed closely behind Du Shangjing, ca in.

The two cautiously stretched their necks to look, who expected just this glance to scare themselves pale, throat sourness surging.

Brightly colored human organs were casually thrown on the floor, not a single corpse was intact.

Du Shangjing suppressed his nausea and fear, examining the corpses.

One, two, three... a total of thirteen bodies.

Three doctors in white coats, six disfigured female nurses, and four male orderlies in gray clothes.

All dead.

All the dical staff, died on the second floor!

They were dismbered, the organs cut open, their deaths ghastly beyond bearable.

Ineffable fear surged in his heart.

They were all dead, then... what was it he saw before?

"Run!"

Du Shangjing shivered, turned and shouted urgently.

However, this ti no one answered him.

Du Shangjing’s heart chilled, why had Qin Chuan and Su Jieyi been silent since just now?

Goosebumps swiftly climbed up his back to his head.

Du Shangjing didn’t dare to turn back at all, he faintly sensed an extrely terrifying and malicious gaze behind him!

Run!

Du Shangjing gritted his teeth hard, he no longer had ti to care what was in front of him, he sprinted ahead!

Across the second floor’s littered corpses, limbs, and organs, Du Shangjing dashed over them quickly, the sticky sensation and stench making him want to retch.

But he didn’t dare to stop moving his feet!

By now, Du Shangjing already knew where the problem lay.

From the first floor to the second floor’s corner, the mont the three stepped across, they had separately entered different spaces!

Ghost wall...

This ti truly was the ghost wall!

Suppressing the scalp-numbing fear, Du Shangjing charged through the corpse-filled hall of the second floor, darted into a corridor, randomly pushed open a room door, held his breath, and hid inside.

Don’t let them find ...

Du Shangjing lay under the bed in this room, closed his eyes, and prayed madly, now all he could do was pray.

But at this mont...

Splashy footsteps suddenly sounded outside the door.

That sticky, blood-trampling sound, penetrating the door, kept drilling into Du Shangjing’s ears...

Du Shangjing felt his whole body froze with rigidity.

This was undoubtedly the greatest death crisis he had ever encountered!

Trembling, Du Shangjing reached a hand into his pocket and pulled out a small compass.

It was the only relic left by his father, a team mber of an exploration team, and Du Shangjing’s reliance on finding the right direction in confusion and fear.

Father...

Du Shangjing looked at the small compass in his hand, hoping it could once again point him in the right direction.

However, watching the compass, Du Shangjing suddenly turned pale, for the compass needle was spinning wildly as if manic!

Then it suddenly stopped, Du Shangjing’s lips turned pale. Following the needle’s direction, he looked— it pointed at the door.

"Creak..."

The door was opened.

A pair of blood-stained bare feet walked slowly toward him.

...

Qin Chuan cursed Xu Zhifei’s presumptuous behavior softly.

While she was very pretty, beauty was not an excuse to act willfully.

Qin Chuan silently swore, if Xu Zhifei survived, he’d give her a hard slap the next ti they t!

"Damn bitch, so self-righteous..."

Murmuring to himself, Qin Chuan didn’t notice that the person in front of him suddenly stopped, and he bumped into him rashly.

So cold...

Qin Chuan had collided with Su Jieyi’s body.

"Why did you suddenly stop?" Qin Chuan stabilized himself and asked dissatisfiedly.

However, at this mont, a strong bloody scent assaulted his nostrils, almost forcing him to close his eyes.

But in the next mont, he started to regret not closing his eyes because what he saw had already surpassed his psychological limit.

Two familiar corpses lay quietly on the floor beneath his feet.

Su Jiexian, Zhong Yi.

Their limbs were chopped off and thrown on the floor.

Their abdons had also been hollowed out, organs casually placed beside, blood flowing from body cavities staining the ground red.

Qin Chuan couldn’t stop the nausea swirling in his stomach, filled with terror.

"Damn, there’s a ghost!" Sweat poured down Qin Chuan’s forehead.

He roared with eyes wide open and turned to run!

However, the mont he turned, there were not stairs leading down but a thick wall!

"Bang..."

The strong collision made Qin Chuan dazed, and he sat down with a thud, but then he felt he’d sat on sothing.

Turning his head, he found a pale arm lying under his buttocks.

Frightened, Qin Chuan scrambled up, crawling quickly.

"Du Shangjing, Su Jieyi, go!"

Qin Chuan didn’t dare to look at the dismbered bodies, with only a bare torso and gouged-out abdon of Su Jiexian and Zhong Yi. He roared madly, terror had completely seized his heart; he wanted to escape, but there was no way back, and he dared not go forward.

He hoped Du Shangjing would lead the way, stepping over Su Jiexian and Zhong Yi’s corpses and charging forward, but seeing the other party’s complete lack of reaction, he could only stand still, impotently raging.

Finally, the silence of Du Shangjing and Su Jieyi, along with the increasingly eerie atmosphere, made Qin Chuan realize sothing was off.

His pupils shrank; he could no longer bear this fear. He made up his mind to step over Su Jiexian and Zhong Yi’s bodies and charge forward!

However, as he looked down at the path ahead, he was horrified to discover Su Jiexian and Zhong Yi’s eyes wide open, eerily staring at him...
