Master Rhodes was truly the being most skilled in Spatial Magic in the world. The teleportation spell he constructed was precise and efficient. After a brief dizziness, Flam found herself standing on a plain.

Judging from the surrounding environnt and temperature, she had arrived in the northern region.

She didn't hesitate to cast flight magic and take to the air.

Looking out, the land still bore the scars of the ravaging war. Scorched earth was visible in many places, but the large-scale battles had ceased. Only scattered fluctuations of combat ca from extrely far away.

Just as Master Rhodes had said, the war in the North was indeed drawing to a close.

Flam wasted no ti. Sensing the location marker Olivia had transmitted to her via a special thod, she transford into a streak of light and sped toward the indicated spot.

Before long, she landed in front of a seemingly unremarkable cave.

Faint traces of magic remained at the entrance, suggesting it had been simply treated to isolate the aura within.

Entering the cave, she found the interior brighter than expected. Clearly, soone had cast a simple illumination spell. Not far away, she saw Olivia's iconic pure white wings.

The Sky-Winged senior was standing there quietly. Not far from her sat a petite figure.

Flam's gaze quickly swept the entire cave, but she found no trace of Carlo. She walked quickly to Olivia and asked in a low voice, "Senior Olivia, where is... Carlo?"

Olivia turned her head and shook it. "He has already left. After I found him and we had a brief contact, he left alone, leaving only this demon behind."

Olivia had already given the magical runes Lord Rhodes entrusted to her to Carlo.

She believed that with those runes, Carlo could better use the life-force absorption magic, but he would target demons instead of humans.

As for what Carlo would beco in a thousand years, that was another matter.

After all, he wasn't Rhodes; immortality required a price.

Flam's lips moved, wanting to say sothing but stopping.

She wanted to ask about the direction Carlo left or his possible destination, but thinking of Master Rhodes's attitude, she swallowed the words back.

She understood that her primary mission was to fulfill her teacher's request and bring back this strange demon. As for Carlo... she vaguely guessed her teacher might have other arrangents, but she wasn't sure what they were.

Suppressing her thoughts about Carlo for the mont, Flam finally focused her attention entirely on the target of this mission.

It was a little girl who looked about seven or eight years old in human terms. She wore slightly oversized coarse clothes and sat quietly on a rock.

She had beautiful short black hair, fair skin, and features as exquisite as a doll.

However, most striking were the small but distinct pitch-black horns on both sides of her forehead, clearly declaring her identity as a demon.

If not for those conspicuous horns, anyone seeing such a cute face would mistake her for a lost human child.

Flam wasn't too surprised by this. Occasionally, demons who looked almost human—incredibly beautiful or handso—appeared. It wasn't a rare occurrence.

But what truly shocked Flam wasn't the girl's harmless appearance, but the aura emanating from her.

In her perception, a power completely incompatible with the essence of a demon was continuously radiating from this little girl.

Holy Aura!

This aura was so distinct that the mont Flam sensed it, her heart skipped a beat.

She subconsciously glanced at Olivia beside her, confirming that while this holy aura was equally pure, it was significantly different from the holy power originating from the Sky-Winged race's faith and life essence.

This wasn't contamination or imitation. It felt more... innate. Or rather, seeping out from the very root of her existence!

"How is this possible..." Flam exclaid in her heart.

How could a demon emit such a dense holy aura? This was completely illogical.

In this mont, she thoroughly understood why Master Rhodes called this demon "strange" and specifically ordered her to bring it back safely.

Because this demon might hold deeper secrets of the demon race, perhaps even touching upon the composition formula of the demonic life source Master Rhodes had once ntioned.

The little demon girl—or rather, Solitär-Flam—seed to sense Flam's gaze. She looked up.

Her eyes were placid. No curiosity, no fear, no hostility. Only a near-empty calm.

Demons naturally lacked the ability to understand complex emotions; their behavior was based more on instinct.

Solitär-Flam looked at the newly appeared woman. In her perception, this woman was very powerful, in no way inferior to the winged fellow beside her. A faint confusion arose in her small head.

Where did the human go? The one who stayed by my side since I gained consciousness, constantly drawing life force from ?

Does he not need anymore?

For a demon unable to understand emotions, this feeling of abandonnt was rely a logical confusion arising from a change in pattern.

On the other side, Flam couldn't suppress her questions any longer. She turned to Olivia. "Senior Olivia, what exactly is going on? Do you know the origin of this demon? And this holy aura on her..."

Olivia shook her head. "I do not know. When I discovered Carlo's trail and ca here, I found him with this demon. According to him, he found her in the deepest part of an extrely massive underground labyrinth."

"Carlo stated she contained an extrely massive amount of life force. It was by absorbing the life energy she emitted that he finally perfected the magic capable of absorbing demonic life force."

"Then, he nad this demon Solitär-Flam."

Hearing her na, Solitär-Flam subconsciously looked up at the two people before her.

Listening to Olivia's narration, Flam's gaze returned to Solitär-Flam, her thoughts becoming more complex.

The labyrinth Carlo ntioned was likely the one he fell into. Even Flam hadn't expected that labyrinth to house not only a terrifying creature but also a demon in its deepest depths.

And now, Carlo had used her to complete his magic but left her alone. Had he absorbed enough life force? Or discovered other problems?

Regardless, this demon nad Solitär-Flam had to be brought back.
