The white-gold spear, composed of pure divine energy, left Flam's hand instantly. Tearing through the air, it pierced directly through Solitär, who was bound to the chair.

Solitär glared deathly at Flam, her pupils reflecting Flam's impassive face.

She seed to want to say sothing. Her lips moved slightly, but the energy contained within the Holy Lance erupted violently inside her body.

"Gaaah!!!"

A short, sharp scream was squeezed from her throat before stopping abruptly.

Blinding white-gold light burst from her pierced chest, as if a small furnace had been ignited inside her.

Holy mana swept through every corner of her body at astonishing speed.

Her body began to dissipate gradually, leaving no wreckage or blood. Only a dense black aura remained in place, forcibly purified in the holy light until it finally turned into a few insignificant wisps of black smoke and vanished into the air.

The entire process was astonishingly fast.

In just two or three breaths, Solitär—the cowardly demon who feared death above all else—vanished completely.

Even the chair binding her was destroyed by the energy, leaving only a twisted, deford base and energy ripples that hadn't completely settled in the air.

The Holy Lance, after piercing and annihilating its target, didn't lose montum. It slamd viciously into the stone wall engraved with reinforcent runes behind her.

BOOM!!!

A dull yet penetrating explosion blasted through the interrogation room.

Where the stone wall was hit, a massive, scorched crater with radial cracks appeared instantly, sending countless stone fragnts falling.

The entire room shook violently, and the magical lamps on the walls swayed unsteadily.

The massive noise and mana fluctuations undoubtedly transmitted outside the interrogation room, likely alerting others.

Flam stood where she was, panting slightly.

She had injected considerable mana into that light lance, consuming quite a bit of her reserves, just to ensure Solitär was thoroughly killed.

But she had done it.

This greatest hidden danger, the one who could leak her secret, had been eliminated by her own hands.

However, looking at the empty chair base and the shocking crater on the wall, Flam felt no relief in her heart.

A vague uneasiness crept in.

She had killed not just a demon, but seemingly also stifled more information. For example, obtaining more intelligence about the demons' movents or even news about Carlo from her mouth?

But now, it was too late.

Demon death like a snuffed lamp.

Flam shook her head vigorously, trying to dispel these distracting thoughts.

Now was not the ti for hesitation or regret.

She had to deal with the scene imdiately and then head to the northern battlefield to find Carlo.

She walked to the twisted base and examined it carefully, confirming there were no traces of Solitär left. Clearly, the purification effect of the Holy Lance was thorough.

Next, she turned her gaze to the massive crater on the wall.

The commotion was too big; there had to be a reasonable explanation.

Thinking quickly, she gathered mana in her hands again—this ti, relatively gentle Earth Elent magic.

Flam manipulated the gravel and dust on the ground, carefully repairing the crater on the wall while simulating traces of energy impact, trying to make the scene look like the result of fierce resistance.

Just as she finished a rough repair of the wall and hadn't had ti to check for omissions—

Bang!

The stone door of the interrogation room was slamd open by a huge force from the outside.

Ela and Frieren rushed in with grave expressions.

Clearly, they had been alerted by the massive explosion just now.

"Flam! What happened?!" Ela asked urgently, her gaze sweeping quickly around the room.

The room was empty. No sign of the Great Demon. Only the base of a chair remained, along with a cracked pit on the wall and residual abnormal energy in the air.

Frieren didn't speak. She just looked at Flam, seemingly confirming if she was alright.

Flam forced herself to remain calm. Taking a deep breath, she feigned anger. "That demon... she suddenly went berserk just now. I don't know what secret art she used, but she forcibly broke free from the restraints and attacked . I had no choice but to use Holy Magic to suppress her, but I didn't expect the power to be too strong. It killed her directly and caused quite a bit of damage."

Ela looked at the ss in the room, her brow furrowed tight.

She walked to the chair base, sensing the powerful residual holy mana, then looked at the damage marks on the wall clearly caused by Holy Magic.

Flam's explanation seed plausible based on the scene.

After all, demons had strange and varied magical abilities. It wouldn't be surprising if a Great Demon nad Solitär possessed so special ans to break free from restraints.

"What a pity. We hadn't extracted her true purpose yet."

Ela sighed. From beginning to end, she hadn't believed Solitär infiltrated the Magic Association just to learn human magic.

Unfortunately, now that she had been killed by Flam, further interrogation was impossible.

"You know the effect of Holy Magic on demons," Flam said, trying to keep her voice steady. "Especially attacks specifically targeting demons."

Frieren listened quietly until the end. Her gaze swept over the room again before finally resting on Flam's face. She asked softly, "Mas... Master, are you alright? The mana fluctuation just now was very strong." She was still sowhat unaccustod to calling Flam "Master."

"I am fine." Flam shook her head, avoiding Frieren's gaze. "Just a bit surprised. I didn't expect her to break free."

She had to end the conversation here quickly and dispel the doubts of the two before her.

"Ela, Frieren, I will trouble you to handle the aftermath here," Flam said urgently. "I must leave for the North imdiately!"

"Now?" Ela was stunned. "In such a hurry? Is there a reason?"

"I cannot wait any longer!" Flam's tone was resolute, carrying an unquestionable urgency. "The appearance of this demon gives a bad feeling. Since we couldn't get her true purpose out of her, I might as well head directly to the northern battlefield to investigate."

She scraped together a passable reason.

Ela and Frieren exchanged a glance. Although they felt Flam's reaction was overly urgent and strange, considering the demons' conspiracy to infiltrate the Association, it seed understandable.

"Then wait a mont. I will go with you."

"Sister Ela should stay at the Association. The daily work here needs you to handle it. Frieren, you too. Stay here."

"Alright. Then be careful," Ela nodded.

"Thank you." Flam said no more. She didn't even dare glance at the empty chair base again. Almost fleeing, she walked briskly out of the interrogation room.

Watching Flam's hurrying back, Ela muttered to herself, "Holy Lance... the strongest offensive spell of divine power. Truly... left no room for rcy at all."

Hearing this, Frieren looked thoughtfully at the twisted chair base. A trace of doubt flashed in her eyes, but she ultimately said nothing.

Regardless, as long as Flam was safe, it was fine.
