Breathing deeply and slowly, Elijah laid his head against his crossed arms that sat behind his head. The sound of the water acted as a sound machine that allowed him to effortlessly fall asleep. Or was it the energy used with the Astral projection?
"...lijah. Elijah. Elijah!"
"Huh? What?" Elijah leaned up from his nap and wiped Elijah from his face in disgust from finding himself breathing from his mouth. "Abel! You are back! Were you exploring The Catacombs? Looking for an exit?"
"Yea... Until I ran into an old friend." Behind Abel ca three people from the shadows.
"Well well Elijah. I thought I told you not to see him without letting know! I found out just now that he is corrupted by the void." Amaris warned Elijah while waving his hands. "Before you talk, This is Mikhail, Landon, and Leah. Three powerful figures I trust that you have also t at you know what... I do, however, need your help, because they are now confused by what I just said."
Elijah himself was now confused as well. 'Help with what? What do I have to do?'
"Let guess, they are confused and are denying everything you have told them?"
Amaris paused and began to walk towards Elijah while speaking in a way that everyone heard him. "No, I actually haven't told them anything at all besides them hearing say how Abel is corrupted. I need you to touch them, get close to them, I don't know... Hug them maybe?" While closing the distance and taking another brief pause, Amaris whispers into his ear. "I know about Novius learning of the secrets of this world. It is no coincidence you know, and the key is you. You are a lot more special than your affinity makes you."
This is it! I am the opposite of corruption! I have thought about this fact very recently, but then why isn't Alexia affected? I have hugged her a nurous amount of tis as well as her being my first friend. Could she be hiding it? "I understand what needs to be done, but couldn't you do it as well?"
Amaris calmly smiled and walked away.
'I guess there must be a reason why. The three figures of Landon, Mikhail, and Leah do look very huggable... Especially Leah with her...'
"I need to hug each one of you for soti. Please understand this is for a reason related to the kingdom, not so weird fantasy of a ten year old."
All three of them voiced their agreent. First was Mikhail. The few minutes I spent close to his body allowed to understand how built it was. This guy was not big to the point of losing out on mobility, but had muscles as hard as steel. Landon was the sa except for having slightly less muscle. Leah on the other hand, was not necessarily soft and squishy besides her breasts that she dug into on purpose, but extrely defined with muscles that surely granted her mobility that outshined both Mikhail and Landon. Shaped like an hourglass and a symtrical face was a woman that could rival any top paid model in Elijah's past life. The difference is how won like this were extrely common within the kingdom. Elijah's confird theory of how health is equal to attractiveness is playing a huge part. This also entails the past generations of health, and how every day posture will overti lead to an imbalance if improper.
"Okay, that should be enough Elijah. Are you okay? Seems like you might have had too much fun haha!" Amaris joked around while noticing Landon and Mikhail kneel to the floor, and once Elijah had backed away, the sa happened with Leah.
"Did I over do it?" Elijah asked Amaris.
"Did you even feel the warm energy leave your body and enter them?"
"I... I wasn't even thinking sothing like that would happen."
"Elijah, the reason why I was able to not be affected by the corruption of this kingdom is because I was hugged just like they were before I left. What was just transferred were small amounts of what my kingdom calls Benevolence, which is the opposite of corruption. There are only a few people within the kingdom that have a source of benevolence that they say is passed down from the gods. I wasn't hugged by a person, but by a huge crystal that is the size of this cave."
This revelation that ca to Elijah felt overwhelming. So many dots were just connected, including the remnant voice from the conversation that explained how Elijah is the opposite of Corrupted. Benevolence! The energy that was slowly transferred to his family and friends that he spent a lot of ti with was the cause for their change to a believer. However, new questions arose like his mother and brother, as well as Alexia. Could the difference in the change be the people everyone spends ti around. If Alexia's parents spend ti around people who are corrupted, and that spreads to Alexia, then the effect I have on her would be neutralized or reduced. Of course, this is with assuming Corruption and Benevolence are equal in power, like two sides of the sa coin.
"What the hell are you two talking about?!" Landon was dismayed while clutching his fists and scratching different parts of his body. anwhile, Abel was calmly sitting in a corner while watching everything go down. Abel survived by eating the beasts outside his cavern, and drinking the water that ca from the void. Ever since eting Elijah, his mories had begun to co back without even laying a finger on him.
An hour passed into the conversation between Amaris and his fellow comrades who believed in him. It took a lot of questions and processing, but eventually, all three of them ca around with a mind that seed to be born anew.
"Now that everything is settled, Elijah, would you like to tell about your plan of escape?"
'Shit. How does he know? It is not a bad thing, but he may not allow to leave...'
"I plan to leave after the tournant ends. I am going to Gion and escaping through The Catacombs. I have already found a cave system using astral projection and made incisions to guide through."
Amaris was impressed by Elijah's plan. "Well, I guess I can't really stop you. So... Can we all go with you? You are gonna need help haha."
"I don't know? Can you? Aren't you supposed to figure out and solve what is going on here?" Elijah asked as he stood up.
"They don't control , so I can return whenever... But, not to Gion. I can't go back there..." Amaris told everyone not to ask.
"Wait! This is all a little too much to process! You are talking about leaving this kingdom for what, a kingdom we don't even know exists?!" Mikhail voiced her opinion while Leah and Landon were inside their own heads.
"It will take ti for them to co around, but I am sure they wi..."
Mikhail interrupted. "Why are you ignoring like I am so tool?!"
The conversation quickly beca heated but was cooled down by Elijah and Abel. The plan would be discussed again during the tournant, as well as after the tournant, which ans Elijah might have to wait longer than he expected. However, this also ans he has more ti to find where Niko is, and plan for an extraction right before the escape.
Everyone slowly returned through the cave system after watching Elijah fly into the torrential whirlpool. Conversations of fear were heard by Elijah himself, and the only thing he could do was smile and wave.
