Roland, having laid out the plan for the village’s advancent, had prepared a list of tasks on a large sheet of parchnt that he pinned to the wall of the study room. The list focused on the majority of things for the people.
- Build Roads
- Buy Good Quality Seed Crops
- Create Jobs
- Build Good Houses
- Construct Walls
- Dig a Canal
It was a huge task.
With the list prominently displayed, Roland turned to Roan and Priya. "Before you go, let give a brief on our next steps."
Roan and Priya nodded, attentive.
"Roan," Roland began, "Our imdiate priority is to find rchants who can supply us with high-quality seed crops and building materials. The roads and houses need to be constructed with the best materials we can afford to ensure durability. We also need to source seeds that are resilient and suited for our soil to improve crop yields."
Roan replied, "Understood. I’ll look for rchants who are known for their reliability and quality."
Roland continued, "Priya, our financial situation allows us to proceed with certain tasks. We have about 500 gold coins left. This should cover the hiring of workers and the initial expenses. I need you to organize a team to start digging the canal. The canal is crucial for irrigation and will improve our agricultural prospects significantly."
Priya took note. "I’ll make sure we have enough workers for the canal. I’ll also oversee the process to ensure it progresses smoothly."
Roland added, "For the roads and houses, we’ll need to prioritize the most critical areas first. The roads should connect key parts of the village, and the houses must be sturdy to withstand the elents. As for the walls, we need to start with a strong defensive periter to protect against potential monster attacks."
He looked at Priya and Roan with a firm expression. "We must act quickly and efficiently. Our goal is to transform this village into a thriving community, capable of withstanding challenges and providing for its people. Keep updated on your progress, and if any issues arise, let know imdiately."
Roan and Priya both nodded, their expressions reflecting their understanding and commitnt to the tasks at hand.
"Very well," Roland concluded. "Let’s make this plan a reality and build a better future for Apus Village."
With that, Roan and Priya set off to begin their respective tasks, each ready to contribute to the village’s advancent. Roland remained behind, deep in thought, as he considered the challenges and opportunities ahead.
........
Roland, having finished delegating tasks for the village’s advancent, turned his attention to a different matter. He approached Janet, who was sitting quietly by the window, her golden hair catching the soft afternoon light.
"Janet," Roland began, "I need to discuss sothing with you."
Janet looked up, her face showing curiosity and concern. "What is it, Roland?"
"I’ve been thinking about your maternal family. I heard that your father has passed away, and your mother is now alone. How is she?"
Janet sighed, her expression growing somber. "Yes, my father passed away so years ago. My mother is alone now. She’s 43, still relatively young, but she lives by herself. She’s been struggling a bit."
Roland nodded thoughtfully. "I rember hearing that your mother used to brew wines. I’ve heard they were quite remarkable."
After a rough thinking, the first business idea that he ca up with was wine.
Everyone loves wine in this world. As long as yours is unique people will die for it.
"Stop joking," Janet confird with a hint of pride. "We are too poor to buy high-quality wines so she made so from local produce, it didn’t taste great."
Having confird what he wanted, Roland called Jany.
Roland greeted Jany, Janet’s mother, with a warm but formal deanor. Jany, a woman in her early forties, arrived with a mix of excitent and apprehension.
She seed to have aged a bit from the first eting. Roland had invited her quite often but she refused to stay here cause she was afraid.
Nobles with their misunderstanding antics were quite common.
"I’ve heard your wines are well-regarded in our region," Roland said encouragingly as they sat down to discuss the matter. "But I understand you may have reservations about their quality."
Jany nodded, looking uneasy. "Yes, my wines were ant for our enjoynt, not for comrcial purposes. I fear it might not et the standards you’re expecting."
Roland smiled reassuringly. "Rest assured, I’ll personally oversee the process. We’ll start small and adjust as needed. I believe with a bit of experintation, we can refine the process and produce sothing truly exceptional."
With Roland’s assurances, Jany agreed to proceed. Over the next half-month, Roland, drawing from his knowledge of winemaking from his previous life, set to work. He experinted with different thods and techniques, focusing on the quality of the grapes and the ferntation process with the help of Jany.
He was a complete novice and just knew the end goal but not the right direction.
Jany fine tuned the process.
His efforts paid off. Roland developed a thod that improved the taste and quality of the wines significantly. Soon after, a winery and distillation center began construction in Apus Village. The facility quickly beca the talk of the town, drawing attention from locals and nearby regions.
The new winery not only provided a source of quality wine but also created jobs and brought a sense of prosperity to the village. As the construction neared completion, the villagers watched with anticipation, hopeful for the positive changes it would bring to their lives.
An idea began to form in Roland’s mind. "That’s excellent news. We need a skilled brewer for the village. If your mother can brew such fine wines, she could help us establish a small brewery here. It would be a valuable asset and could bring in additional inco for us."
Janet’s eyes widened with surprise and hope. "That’s a great idea. My mother would be thrilled to help, and it would give her sothing aningful to focus on."
Roland smiled. "Then let’s invite her to stay in the mansion. She can co to Apus Village and set up a small brewery. It will benefit both her and the village."
"Alright," Janet agreed, her face brightening. "I’ll write to her imdiately and ask her to co."
Roland placed a reassuring hand on Janet’s shoulder. "Thank you, Janet. This could be the start of sothing very positive for us and for the village."
Janet nodded, her spirits lifted by the prospect of her mother joining them and contributing to their new life in Apus Village. As she prepared to write to her mother, Roland felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing that this move could help enhance their efforts and bring a touch of familiarity and comfort to their growing community.
