Symposium on the Fourteenth Rule of the End Times

...

Little Grass: Alright, the fourteenth panel officially begins. Please speak freely.

Guan Tong: "I lost my memory? We're starting at the fourteenth already? What about the first thirteen?"

Little Grass: "Ahem! After all, this idea only came up recently. The first thirteen panels will be written gradually and added into the 'author's notes' before the chapter where the new rules were released."

Guan Tong: "Sounds like a massive project."

Little Grass: "Which is why I said 'gradually'..."

Yelanka: "Good luck."

Little Grass: "Long live understanding!"

Shi Jingyi: "Next, I'm going to ask a sharp question."

Little Grass (bad feeling): "Please go ahead!"

Shi Jingyi: "This rule alone took fifty-two chapters, far exceeding the previous average of twenty to thirty chapters per rule. Were you padding the word count?"

Chen Na: "Sister Jingyi, that question really is sharp!"

Silver Fox: "Right to the heart, worthy of a lecturer. Applause for understanding."

Guan Tong: "Clap clap."

Little Grass: "Sorry! This rule did get a bit long, please allow me to explain... Mainly, as more characters appear, intersections increase. For example, Yelanka and Uenoshi, as important supporting characters, needed more of their stories written, and the villain Yuzawa Jun's arc dragged on a bit... I'll pay more attention to that going forward!"

Yuzawa Jun: "I'll take the blame for that."

Little Grass: "Poor you! I'll make it up to you later!"

Uenoshi: "How will you make it up? Make Coal Ball puke his head out?"

Coal Ball: "Meowaow?"

Yuzawa Jun (dies peacefully): "..."

Zhang Minglu: "Back to this rule. This rule seems to be a long-term influence type? The parasitized form will appear across multiple rules, right?"

Little Grass: "Yes. In designing the rules, I wanted something fresh, so the parasitized form will persist long-term and put sustained pressure on humanity."

Zhang Minglu (rolling up his sleeves): "Alright, this is getting interesting!"

Lu Cheng (speaking eagerly): "Some readers say I have potential to be a co-protagonist? Is that true?"

Guan Tong: "?"

Xu Xiaotian: "Conjured out of nothing? If anyone can be a second protagonist, I gladly refuse to yield the role!"

Little Grass: "Please stop fantasizing immediately. This book has only one male lead."

Guan Tong (confident): "That would be me."

Suzuki (timidly raising her hand): "Do I still have scenes later on?"

Little Grass: "That's confidential!"

Shi Jingyi: "I'm going to ask another sharp question."

Little Grass: "Please..."

Shi Jingyi: "When will the setting compendium you mentioned during your break be released?"

Guan Tong: "I'd like to read that too."

Chen Na: "Me too!"

Uenoshi: " 1"

Little Grass: "This... I didn't realize how many miscellaneous settings there were until I started. The workload is huge, so it will take some time. Please be patient!"

Shi Jingyi: "Next..."

Little Grass (cuts in): "Next, this panel will end! Ahem... If there are more sharp questions, please bring them to the next panel!"

Shi Jingyi (smiling as she stands): "I will remember."

Everyone rose and left the room.

Little Grass (sighing and muttering to themself as they leave): "Sigh, a new rule goes up tomorrow. I hope that damn company doesn't make me work overtime so I can update more!"
