On Terra.

On the third day after the release of the sixteenth rule, Wei Xuan and the other astronauts who chose to stay and continue the mission collectively relocated to the "Empire Pioneer".

Including him, a total of six people chose to stay. The others boarded the "Dream Boat One" to lead Robert and those who had fallen into a special stress state back for treatnt.

As for the rules, they were irrelevant to them.

Everyone had a "1" floating above their heads as points. In this environnt, no one had the mind to take points from others—there were only so few people. Even if one killed all the others, the total points would still be in the single digits, making it impossible to obtain ranking rewards.

After everyone had moved over, Wei Xuan held a eting. He encouraged everyone present: "Each of us who chose to stay has undoubtedly made the resolve to sacrifice for humanity. But as your Team Leader, I promise you, I will do my utmost to protect you if we encounter danger."

"Team Leader, no need to say more, we all understand!"

"Yeah. Since we chose to stay, we won't regret it."

"It would be too shaful to just go back like this. Even if we die, we'll die on Terra!"

The remaining team mbers were all in high spirits. Their courage also infected Wei Xuan, and he nodded heavily. "Hearing you all say that puts my mind at ease. Then we will continue to carry out the mission according to plan, improving the construction of the survival point while exploring Terra."

Soone asked, "Team Leader, aren't we investigating the existence of that 'demon'?"

"Don't worry about that thing. Currently, we have too little intelligence. Rather than wasting energy chasing shadows, it's better to complete our established tasks. However, we must not neglect guarding against it. When we carry out missions, we shouldn't all be together. We must leave soone in the rocket. That way, we don't put all our eggs in one basket. If..."

[Beep, Ground Control Center is calling]

The prompt sound suddenly coming from the communication equipnt on the command console interrupted Wei Xuan. He went over and answered.

"This is Wei Xuan. What is the matter, Control Center?"

The voice of the control center personnel was heavy, carrying a trace of fear that was hard to detect. "This is a notification: A suspected critical incident suddenly occurred on the 'Dream Boat One' spacecraft, which took off and began its return journey two hours ago. It has currently lost contact."

"!!"

Wei Xuan and the others were shocked upon hearing this.

Personnel on the Dream Boat One lost contact due to a critical incident? What was going on?!

"The 'Dream Boat One' is currently in Terra's orbit. Your mission is changed. Imdiately board the rocket and leave Terra, returning to Tianshui Star."

Wei Xuan said in astonishnt, "Return directly to Tianshui Star? What about the Terra exploration mission... and the people on the Dream Boat One? Are we giving up on them?"

"Give up on all of it." The helpless voice of the Director of the Beixing Space Agency sounded over the communication. "This mission has already lost too many elite astronauts. If you go to rescue them, it's highly likely more incidents will occur. Humanity cannot accept the brutal outco of total annihilation... At the very least, the few of you must return alive."

"......"

The astronauts on the Empire Pioneer fell silent.

Just a mont ago, everyone was full of drive, but now it had all turned into aningless declarations.

"Wei Xuan, obey the order."

"Director, I'd like to make a request," Wei Xuan said after a mont of silence.

"What request?"

"After the rocket enters orbit, let the team mbers return. I will pilot the ejection capsule alone to enter the Dream Boat One and investigate what happened. There are many of my team mbers there. Please, you must agree!"

"Team Leader..."

Upon hearing this, the other team mbers' expressions beca complex. The Space Agency Director sighed after a mont of silence. "Alright, I approve your request."

"Thank you!"

After the communication ended, Wei Xuan turned around. The other team mbers all saluted him. Everyone understood that by doing this, he might very well not return.

Wei Xuan returned the salute, then proceeded with the team mbers to start the rocket and launch according to procedure, all without a word.

After entering orbit, they spotted the Dream Boat One. No matter how they hailed it, there was no response, making it feel like a silent coffin.

As they got closer, Wei Xuan alone piloted the small capsule, which could only carry one person, and headed towards the Dream Boat One via ejection.

The mont it was ejected, the team mbers all showed expressions of reluctance, knowing this farewell could very well be eternal.

Compared to others, Wei Xuan himself was quite calm at this mont. He wasn't overly sentintal, nor did he feel his actions were particularly heroic. He was rely fulfilling his duty as a Team Leader—he would not abandon his team mbers.

When the ejection capsule skimd to the front of the Dream Boat One, Wei Xuan decisively exited the capsule. Using the gas jetpack on his back to adjust his posture, he propelled himself to the external cabin door of the Dream Boat One.

He skillfully turned the handle, verified his authority, and opened the outermost hatch. After entering, he turned and closed it. Once gravity was restored, he opened the second hatch and entered the rocket's inner cabin.

And the mont he stepped inside, he felt like he had stepped on sothing viscous.

Looking down, he saw a large pool of blood flowing on the ground...

"You shouldn't have co."

A voice ca from ahead.

Wei Xuan abruptly looked up, unable to believe his eyes. "Robert?!"

At the Mind Power Developnt Academy.

In a tranquil small courtyard, Shi Jingyi was sitting cross-legged on a ditation cushion, her eyes slightly closed, her breathing long and steady.

If soone else were here, they would be greatly astonished to see her current state. All around her body, a large amount of flowing, luminous substance was burning!

Experienced Ascendants could tell that those luminous flows were Mind Power, but they couldn't understand why this Mind Power was "burning" like flas.

When it ca to the deep developnt and application of Mind Power, Shi Jingyi had always dared to be a pioneer, walking at the forefront.

Apart from teaching classes and answering questions, her daily life consisted of self-cultivation. She had no social life or other forms of entertainnt. Or rather, cultivation itself was the best form of entertainnt she had cultivated since childhood.

It was precisely this diligent, unceasing practice that allowed her to keep progressing.

From the initial developnt of Mind Power Flow, which allowed Mind Power to be used as an external energy, countless Ascendants had benefited greatly and held her in high esteem.

But she didn't rest on her laurels and beco self-satisfied. Instead, she went further, deeply integrating Mind Power with martial arts techniques, creating several sets of astonishingly powerful Mind Power Martial Arts.

After that, she still didn't stop. She continued to delve deeper and had now comprehended a special application of Mind Power.

She nad it "Condensation and Sublimation".

This was a thod of refining Mind Power. In simple terms, it consud a massive amount of Mind Power per unit of ti to impact the "Mind Power pipeline" theory once proposed by Guan Tong, thereby stimulating an accelerated increase in the Upper Limit of Mind Power.

The external manifestation of this cultivation thod was Mind Power appearing to transform and burn like flas... Through continuous "Condensation and Sublimation
