January 4th, late at night, dark and windy.

The sea surface was pitch black, only faint, flickering lights could be seen, the tranquility carrying a trace of the unknown.

On the Yunjia, it was business as usual. The researchers were working overti on the genetic hybrid modification experints. The private soldiers of the Yuzawa Family continuously opened container after container, transporting the unconscious people inside to the laboratory.

Everything seed no different from usual. A few of those responsible for moving the containers were even complaining while they worked.

"Don't know when the Divine Child's plan will end. Staying on this ship every day is really uncomfortable."

"The number of people being sent to the lab has been increasing these past two days, so it's probably almost over. Besides, what's so good about going ashore? Haven't you heard about the chaos caused by the parasitized forms? Who knows how many are out there now. At least there aren't any of those monsters on the ship."

"That's true..."

As they were talking, one of them glanced out and saw what seed to be lights in the distance on the sea, finding it very strange.

He nudged his companion. "Look over there. Is that a ship coming this way?"

"A ship? No way?"

"That... that is!!"

They had only looked for a few monts when they realized the lights were rapidly intensifying. Imnsely thick beams of light shot directly towards them.

Along with the light beams ca a massive, amplified voice that reverberated across the entire sea surface. Simultaneously, the sa voice ca through the public communication channel in the ship's bridge.

"This is the Beixing Country Navy's Flying Fire Fleet. All crew mbers on the Yunjia, cease all activities imdiately, abandon all resistance, and await boarding inspection."

"Repeat, this is..."

Everyone in the bridge was shocked upon hearing this.

"How did the Flying Fire Fleet get here so suddenly?!"

"Why wasn't there any alarm?!"

"What do we do? We're just a cargo ship!"

The Flying Fire Fleet was an aircraft carrier battle fleet of Beixing, with terrifying combat power.

The Yunjia, however, was rely a large cargo ship, its onboard weapons essentially nonexistent. Facing the Flying Fire Fleet, the gap between the two sides wasn't like a child facing a boxing champion, but a child facing a Cybertronian Transforr.

Receiving the news, the Divine Child, Yuzawa Jun, imdiately went to find Kurokawa Etsu.

"Beixing's warships are here. The situation is extrely unfavorable."

"How could it be this fast?" Kurokawa Etsu was also stunned. "We only moved onto the ship a few days ago. How did Beixing find out?"

"There might be a problem internally."

Yuzawa Jun couldn't afford to trace the source of the intelligence leak right now. The key issue was how to deal with Beixing's warships.

"I just tried to contact the family, but found communications have been cut. I can't reach the port either, and teleportation-type items are being restricted. The enemy must have carried out a comprehensive blockade in advance."

Hearing this, Kurokawa Etsu's expression turned extrely grim. "Beixing intends to annihilate us completely this ti. I truly didn't expect them, who always play by the rules, to act so suddenly."

The reason their defenses were insufficient was because Beixing, unlike Suroma, usually emphasized having a justifiable cause for action, and would generally notify you "I'm going to attack you" before actually doing so.

But this ti, Beixing had completely changed its usual style, silently deploying an aircraft carrier battle group. This kind of "nation-destroying" level weapon wasn't deployed casually. They must have confird the experintal situation on the Yunjia and made the decisive move to completely eliminate it.

Moreover, the distance between the two countries was now far too close, so close that once Beixing's warships confird the target, they could just sail out of port and be here in a stroll, giving Sakura Prayer no ti to react.

"We absolutely cannot sit and wait for death," Yuzawa Jun said.

"Divine Child... although I don't want to admit it either, what we are facing is an aircraft carrier fleet," Kurokawa Etsu shook his head helplessly. "A single aircraft carrier battle fleet is enough to destroy the entire Sakura Prayer Country in its current state, let alone the fact that we only have one cargo ship."

After the earthquake rules ended, Sakura Prayer's national power had declined significantly. Their weapons were cheap, locked goods bought from Suroma. If Beixing truly decided to be ruthless, a single aircraft carrier battle group would indeed be enough to eliminate the key personnel and administrative structures.

"Even if you deploy all the guards, plus all the Serpent Slave Army on the ship..."

Kurokawa Etsu didn't think these could match an aircraft carrier battle group. In the face of missiles and dense artillery fire, these would all be bubbles that vanish upon contact.

"Who said that's all I have?" Yuzawa Jun's face was cold and detached. "Those people in the containers can also be put to use."

Kurokawa Etsu was taken aback. "You an... use them as hostages?"

Yuzawa Jun sneered. "There are tens of thousands of civilians on this ship. Let's see if Beixing dares to bomb it."

"This..."

Kurokawa Etsu's expression turned strange. It was true there were many civilians in the ship's containers, but those were basically all Sakura Prayer people, not Beixing citizens. Why would Beixing hesitate?

"Kurokawa, we cannot fail. I think you understand that clearly," Yuzawa Jun said, then turned and walked out. "As long as we withstand the pressure, it's not impossible to negotiate a result."

...

On the Flying Fire.

The investigation team ford by Guan Tong and the others was in one of the cabins.

They had proposed and planned this operation. After receiving permission, they naturally ca here at the first opportunity, following the warship into action.

Except for Silver Fox, the other four were all on such a large warship for the first ti, finding it quite novel.

"When a weapon of mass destruction like this is deployed, even if the Divine Child plays his abilities to the hilt, it's useless," Silver Fox said with full confidence. "He and his guards have no choice but to surrender obediently."

It certainly seed that way.

The disparity in military power between the two sides was simply too great. If a fight broke out, there wouldn't be even a shred of suspense.

"Yuzawa Jun will not surrender," Uenoshi suddenly said. "That kind of person would try to bite a chunk of your flesh even if he only had his teeth left. Surrender is impossible."

"I agree with that," Guan Tong nodded.

Although he had only t Yuzawa Jun once and hadn't exchanged a single word, to understand a person, you only need to look at what they have done.

Judging from the results obtained since the investigation began, Yuzawa Jun was exactly as Uenoshi described: extrely cold-blooded and vicious. Making such a person submit, even with overwhelming advantage, was highly unlikely.

"You an he will still resist?" Silver Fox asked curiously. "On what grounds?"

"I don't know either. In short, just don't give him any opportunity!" Uenoshi's tone was sowhat agitated. "If he doesn't heed the warning, just open fire and blow the ship up."

"...But, aren't there many civilians captured for experints on that ship?" Suzuki suddenly interjected.

"Correct. Considering the thousands of civilians on the experintal ship, I don't think the captain will easily order an artillery strike... Could it be Yuzawa Jun will exploit this point?"

Silver Fox hit upon the key, her face instantly turning very unpleasant. She knew Yuzawa Jun would definitely use those hostages as leverage.

"We are not gods. We don't have the ability, nor can we, save everyone," Guan Tong said. "As long as we do our best within our capabilities, and have a clear conscience, that is enough."
