In Black Flag Country, within a certain valley, a fierce lee was raging intensely.

Attacks and defenses launched by various Mind Power items and abilities were entangled together, with multicolored lights flickering constantly.

One side of the combatants consisted of only a little over a hundred people, defending a narrow pass and holding back the assault of the enemy horde.

The enemy horde attacking this pass numbered in the thousands, stretching out like a long snake when viewed from a distance, densely packed and seemingly endless.

Facing enemies dozens of tis their own number, if not for the narrowness of the pass preventing many from passing through simultaneously, the defenders would have likely been breached and annihilated long ago.

Even so, faced with such a massive nurical disparity, the defenders were gradually becoming overwheld. The Ascendants holding the front line fell one after another.

"The front line is about to collapse!"

"Hold on! If we let these monsters through the pass, it's all over!"

"Damn it... my Mind Power is empty! Argh!!!"

Even elite Ascendants capable of fighting one against ten, faced with such a huge nurical gap and opponents who were fearless parasitized forms, could only et the fate of exhaustion and death when escape was impossible.

As several people on the front line fell, a large group of enemies imdiately sward into the pass, with those behind continuously pushing forward.

Seeing this, the defenders inside the pass were utterly despairing. Those holding the front were the strongest among them. With them gone, those behind had little combat power left.

So couldn't help but break into tears. They had barely managed to escape from a city full of parasitized forms, yet still couldn't shake off the clutches of these monsters.

*Boom!*

Just as the defenders were in despair, a powerful sonic boom suddenly rang out in the air.

Everyone looked up to see a massive white object rapidly descending to the ground.

*BOOM!!!*

The object landed right at the pass, directly crushing seven or eight parasitized forms who couldn't dodge in ti and sending more than a dozen others flying from the impact.

Everyone focused their eyes and saw that the object that fell from the sky was actually a light-white cha! Its streamlined body was dazzlingly brilliant, like a work of art.

"All of you, fall back."

A chanical voice issued from the cha. Then, its arms swung, and with a regular *humming* sound, two Power Swords extended from the base of its arms.

The Ascendants of Black Flag Country, not expecting aid, were overjoyed. A boy around ten years old, who had clearly watched the *Battle of the Ascendants* show, pointed at the cha and cheered, "Snow Traces! It's Snow Traces!"

"Kid's got a good eye."

Bai Xuewu muttered inside the cha, then narrowed her eyes. A scanning interface appeared before her, taking in all the enemy's conditions.

She urged the cha forward, charging into the large force of parasitized forms with dual-wielded Power Swords.

The parasitized forms imdiately sward the cha, yet couldn't cause any damage to it. Instead, they themselves were mowed down like grass by the cha's blades.

Then, a whistling sound ca from high altitude again—the sound of long-range weapons—followed by a series of *booming* explosions. A large number of parasitized forms in the distance were blasted to the ground.

As soon as the bombardnt ended, a large number of ard helicopters arrived one after another. The joint forces from Suroma and Beixing had arrived. Soldiers quickly descended to assist in eliminating the remaining parasitized forms.

The thousands of parasitized forms, after several rounds of bombing by fighter jets, plus the mopping-up by Ascendant soldiers and the slaughter by Bai Xuewu piloting the cha, were dealt with in less than ten minutes.

"Whew."

The cha disengaged, and Bai Xuewu landed, taking several deep breaths before pulling a piece of chocolate from her pocket and eating it. Operating Snow Traces continuously for so long had taken a significant toll on both her Mind Power and physical stamina.

However...

She looked at the rescued Black Flag Country Ascendants, the joy of having survived a disaster on their faces, making her feel her exhaustion was worthwhile.

"Snow Traces!"

That boy ran over shouting, his gaze towards her full of admiration. Though they didn't share a language, he pronounced the cha's na correctly.

Although Bai Xuewu was generally socially anxious, she tried her best to be amiable when facing a child, taking out another piece of chocolate and handing it to the boy.

The boy happily took it and ran off. Other Black Flag Country Ascendants were being questioned by the Commander to understand the situation.

Not long after, the voice of the joint operations commander giving deploynt orders sounded in everyone's earpieces.

"These people escaped from Kroma City. When they escaped, the city was already occupied by parasitized forms. But many who didn't escape are still trapped in the city. Our objective is to retake the city from the parasitized forms and rescue the remaining humans."

"Rember! We currently have no way to distinguish between humans and parasitized forms. Combat personnel must remain vigilant towards any Black Flag person, even if they claim not to be parasitized forms! Do not let your guard down! Alright, rest in place for five minutes, then we move out."

"Received."

Bai Xuewu knew that retaking a city wouldn't be as easy as a wilderness skirmish; there would certainly be many casualties.

But she had prepared herself before coming. Even little sister Chen Na had gone to Sakura Prayer Country to participate in a dangerous investigation operation. How could she, as the older sister, drop the ball.

...

Guan Tong believed that compared to his reconnaissance abilities, his combat abilities were still slightly inferior.

That's right. Using Shadow for gathering intelligence was far more convenient than using it for combat. Its greatest advantage lay in being sufficiently concealed while also achieving a certain degree of terrain disregard.

Just like now. A large number of shadow lines, under his control, traversed the seawater and silently crawled onto the *Yunjia*.

This ship didn't have a protective barrier established. Guan Tong figured it was probably because the area was too large; ordinary barrier tools didn't have that large an effective range. Using multiple barrier tools from different Ascendants to overlap would create conflicts or cause failures.

A large ocean-going freighter like this, capable of carrying tens of thousands of containers, was over five hundred ters long from bow to stern, and nearly a hundred ters wide.

For such a behemoth, trying to cover it with a single barrier tool wasn't very realistic.

However, Guan Tong estimated that in so core areas, like secret laboratories, separate barrier protections might be set up to prevent intrusion.

After the shadow lines climbed onto the ship, they dispersed and began investigating the situation on board.

So shadow lines first slipped into the gaps between containers. Through visual sharing, Guan Tong found that what Uenoshi said was correct; there were no goods in these dark environnts, only many unconscious people.

These people might have been fed sleeping drugs, as they were all in a deep sleep. Guan Tong inspected several dozen containers in a row and found people in every one, with even the less populated ones holding around thirty people.

Roughly calculating based on the number of containers on the freighter, the total number of people just inside the containers reached several thousand, maybe even tens of thousands.

Even though Guan Tong already knew about the Yuzawa Family and knew how inhuman Yuzawa Jun was, this number still shocked him.

Moreover, judging by their appearances, most of these people weren't from Andai State; they were almost all Sakura Prayer Country nationals themselves.

In the previous era, such a large-scale population disappearance would have definitely been exposed. But in the era of the Doomsday Rules, clearly few people paid attention to such issues anymore.

Even if soone around you suddenly disappeared, you'd only think maybe they couldn't bear the psychological pressure and went sowhere secluded to end their own life. Reporting it to the police would feel excessive.

This ntality wasn't rare in any country, even in Beixing.

At this mont, the shadow lines that had infiltrated the interior cabin living quarters transmitted back new images.

Guan Tong saw many people here wearing ninja attire, which matched his previous judgnt: the Yuzawa Family had its own family private soldiers.

The characteristic of these private soldiers was that they still retained ancient traditional attire, clashing with the modern environnt. But rather than a characteristic, it was more like a form of obedience training.

Apart from this, he also discovered so researchers in white lab coats. Judging by their appearances, they ca from all over the world. They were probably personnel with genetic technology that the Yuzawa Family had recruited globally to participate in the experints.

Based on everything he had seen so far, it was already enough to prove this ship was the experintal vessel. However, he still wanted to confirm the location of the core laboratory and whether the Divine Child, Yuzawa Jun, who had been hiding all along, was on this ship.

The shadow lines split into even more strands, roaming and searching all over the ship.

Not long after, several of them were blocked by Mind Power barriers. Guan Tong noted down the locations of these key cabins so he could assault them first when the operation began.

Afterwards, he didn't withdraw all the shadow lines, leaving so lurking on the ship to observe movents at any ti.

He himself handed the obtained evidence to Silver Fox, who then forwarded it to the research office.

The research office acted even faster. Only about ten minutes after receiving the evidence, the person in charge, Gao Liangwei, personally notified Silver Fox.

The Top Levels had agreed to formally dispatch warships and air force to blockade the Sakura Prayer Country port at the first opportunity and launch an ard strike against the experintal vessel. This operation was to be conducted simultaneously with the rescue operation in Black Flag Country, fighting two wars at the sa ti.
