[Rule ti has ended]
[Congratulations on passing the test of Doomsday Rule Eleven]
[Rewards have been issued to the Storage Box]
[Doomsday Rule Twelve will be announced in sixty days]
When the Fire Thief's voice sounded, Guan Tong was using Shadow's account to post on the Ascendant Ho forum.
The post title was: "One Million Ascension Coins Bounty for the Mastermind Behind These Individuals."
In the post, he publicly disclosed all the intelligence he knew regarding the "Qingi Organization," "Yongzhou base," "series of kidnapping cases," "Big Sister," and so on.
He also attached photos of all mbers of the Action Team that attacked him, except for Jiang Ming. These were photos he took after eliminating them.
His bounty demand was the true identity of the mastermind, "Big Sister."
If before he had been overly cautious, thinking it might not be good to rashly disclose this information, then after this attack, he no longer had any reservations.
When others were going to every length to eliminate him, what did he have left to worry about?
And...
After posting, Guan Tong turned to look.
Shi Jingyi was currently lying on the bed in his shelter, sleeping deeply.
The previous long-range bombardnt at the base, even though she promptly deployed a Mind Power shield for protection, still left her severely injured.
If she had only protected herself, it might have been better, but at that ti, the protective shield she deployed also encompassed Guan Tong. With a larger area, the defensive strength naturally weakened.
Although Guan Tong promptly channeled a large amount of Mind Power into her for treatnt, it only managed to preserve her life.
The trouble was that in her unconscious state, she couldn't use recovery-type items herself. Perhaps an Ascendant with healing abilities, treating her from the outside, could speed up her recovery.
But after that attack, Guan Tong didn't know who he could trust anymore.
He now even suspected the Counterasures Research Office, worried that if he handed Shi Jingyi over to them, she might be assassinated by a mole?
Handing her over to an academy was the sa; he now trusted no one but himself.
Even if the enemy's target wasn't her, but him, "Shadow," he still wasn't at ease.
So he posted two threads in total. One was the bounty for the mastermind's identity, and the other was a commission thread, seeking an Ascendant with healing abilities to help, for which he would offer a generous fee.
However, for the second commission thread, he didn't use Shadow's account but posted it using the Administrator account, to prevent the enemy from seeing that Shadow needed a healer and deliberately accepting the commission to strike again.
But after the super earthquake, the global internet was almost entirely paralyzed, so it was likely few people would see his two posts in the short term.
"If I mastered healing abilities myself, perhaps... but the seventh page of the [Wordless Book] currently cannot be written on yet."
Previously, to completely eliminate all enemies, Guan Tong wrote the character for "Domain" on the sixth page of the [Wordless Book], unlocking the new and powerful ability "Shadow Domain."
After activating the Shadow Domain, corresponding shadow layers would cover the environnt based on the amount of Mind Power consud. At that ti, everything within the entire domain would be within Guan Tong's perception, and he could move or launch long-range attacks at will.
This wasn't the full extent of the Shadow Domain's abilities, but Guan Tong currently had no mind to explore it further. As long as Shi Jingyi didn't recover, his mind couldn't settle, especially since she suffered this calamity because she was helping him.
Guan Tong took a deep breath and first silently summoned the panel to divert his attention.
[Na: Guan Tong]
[Nickna: Shadow]
[Title: Civilization Observer]
[Mind Power: 859 (859) (191710)]
[Ascension Coins: 3687120]
[Overall Biotric Rating: Outstanding]
His Mind Power Upper Limit had nearly doubled compared to before, approaching nine hundred.
This explosive growth was due to his multiple large-scale outputs of Mind Power, which widened his Mind Power channels. This could be said to be the greatest benefit he gained from Doomsday Rule Eleven.
The second benefit was that he obtained a large amount of reserve Mind Power.
Originally, he had just over two hundred thousand left. Writing on the sixth page of the [Wordless Book] and the initial large-scale deploynt of the Shadow Domain cost over twenty thousand, so he now had one hundred and ninety thousand remaining.
If he had to save up this one hundred and ninety thousand himself, who knows how long it would take. Only by having a large number of people channel Mind Power to him could he accumulate so much.
Of course, since he wasn't affiliated with the official organization, after the cooperation ended, the officials naturally wouldn't organize people to channel Mind Power to him anymore.
However, after going through this rule, Guan Tong's mindset had undergone many changes.
For the first ti, he so directly perceived the power that an "organization" could bestow upon him. If needed in the future, he wouldn't reject the idea of personally building a small organization himself.
A gentleman acts according to the tis. After this super earthquake ended, he felt the world's landscape would undergo significant changes. Perhaps many Ascendants who survived would have the urge to make a move.
But what exactly it would turn into, Guan Tong couldn't predict.
"However, this rule's Interval Period is the first to reach two months; the next one won't be announced until August. This does give humanity quite so ti for disaster relief and to catch their breath."
This being the first ti such a long Interval Period was given once again proved that the Fire Thief was deliberately manipulating each Doomsday Rule.
What was puzzling was whether it wanted to exterminate humanity or not. If not, why release such a terrifying rule so early? If it did, why not press on continuously with difficult rules?
No one could guess the Fire Thief's intentions. Guan Tong only knew that what he needed to do now was, first, to ensure Shi Jingyi woke up, and second, to retaliate against everyone who hard him.
Whether it was the mastermind behind the Qingi Organization, that "Big Sister," or the person who previously frad him for the attack on Prince Lado's convoy, he would retaliate against them all.
Otherwise, so organizations would only think that as a lone individual, even if his individual strength was powerful, it wasn't a big deal.
Guan Tong wanted those with such thoughts to know that anyone who attacked him, whether an individual or a group, would face the most severe counterattack. Only then would others with ill intentions be kept in line.
Regarding specific actions, besides posting the bounty thread, he thought of another thod.
That was tracking through the internet.
His Ascendant Ho website couldn't be hacked or located by others because the website operated within his [Wordless Book] shelter, a place that didn't belong to the real world, so its address couldn't be pinpointed.
But the devices used by other users posting on his website were all physically located in the real world.
In other words, others couldn't track his location as the Administrator, but he could track the device location of every website user.
Previously, he hadn't considered this idea. He didn't even delete or ban many posts that spoke disrespectfully to him, not wanting the website to beco his own echo chamber where everyone could only praise him and not question him.
But now it seed he had been sowhat overly permissive.
General questioning could be allowed, but those posts that spread rumors, slandered, and deliberately guided public opinion against him—leaving them unchecked was actually irresponsible.
He had to strike hard.
Guan Tong planned to deal with them one by one. The user who posted about him attacking Prince Lado's convoy, the user who spread the rumor that he was receiving Mind Power transfers for a "deification project"... he would reverse-track these users' devices, try to find the real individuals behind them, and let them know the consequences of spreading rumors and slander.
Moreover, he felt that if he found the real individuals, there might be unexpected gains. The reason these rumors sparked widespread discussion was that they mixed truth with falsehood. If they were all lies, people wouldn't believe them.
Being able to mix truth with falsehood ant the rumor-mongers were likely the true originators of the rumor's content.
For example, the person who spread the rumor that Guan Tong attacked Prince Lado's convoy was likely the attacker themselves; the person who spread the rumor about so "deification project" might be the one actually working on so deification sche.
This way, as long as he found them, he could deal with the evils they committed along with them.
After having this idea, Guan Tong wasn't in a hurry to implent it imdiately.
He first opened the Terminal's Storage Box, which contained a jumble of various items the officials had allocated to him that he hadn't used up.
Among them were a few remaining teleportation-type items, so items for recovering energy and stamina, which could be kept for continued use.
Besides that was a golden chest, the reward for passing this rule: the Gold-grade Survival Chest.
Guan Tong opened the chest, and a piece of fresh red at appeared in his hand, which surprised him slightly.
[Obtained random item: Demon Monster Flesh]
Demon Monster Flesh?
He carefully read the item description.
[Demon Monster Flesh]: The consur's overall physical constitution is greatly enhanced, but their personality becos manic and more aggressive.
"Pity, it's useless to ."
Although Guan Tong very much wanted to improve his overall physical constitution, if the price was a change in personality, then forget it. He didn't want his personality to be altered by external influences.
He was just about to put the at chunk into the Storage Box when a "ow!" ca from below his feet.
He saw Coal Ball suddenly jump to his feet, climbing up his pant leg, its eyes filled with desire for the at in his hand.
"...You want to eat it? But it probably can't be eaten, right? This is an 'item'."
As Guan Tong spoke, he thought he might as well try.
He bent down and placed the at chunk on the ground. Coal Ball imdiately pounced on it and began gnawing.
It can really be eaten?
Guan Tong's face showed surprise.
But then he imdiately thought of the previous [Kimos Star Chronicle · Fragnt]. That item had the unique characteristic of being "indestructible"—not only couldn't it be destroyed, but it would also drop upon the holder's death.
So, was the process of this "Demon Monster Flesh" being eaten by Coal Ball a "destruction" process?
The at chunk wasn't big, only the size of a finger. Coal Ball quickly ate it all.
Not long after, a strange scene unfolded.
The originally small Coal Ball suddenly had all its fur stand on end. Then, the muscles on its legs began to visibly swell, and the teeth in its opened mouth beca sharper!
Guan Tong didn't expect this item to actually take effect on the black cat he had adopted. For a mont, he didn't know whether to be happy or sad.
But looking at Coal Ball baring its teeth, and thinking of the at's effect, he cautiously summoned Shadow to drift around him.
If Coal Ball, influenced by the at, beca manic and attacked him, its owner, then even if he felt reluctant, he would have to eliminate it as a threat.
About ten seconds passed, and the at's effect seed to be fully absorbed by Coal Ball. Its entire body was now a size larger than before, about the size of a lynx, looking majestic with its pure black fur.
It spun in place a few tis, licked its fur, seemingly quite satisfied with its new appearance. Then it looked at Guan Tong, approached his feet, rubbed its head against his pant leg, and lay down sideways.
Seeing this, Guan Tong squatted down, rubbed Coal Ball's soft belly, and could tell the latter showed no hostility, which slightly eased his mind.
"Although I don't know if there will be any long-term effects, as long as you behave, it's fine."
"ow." Coal Ball seed to have grown not just in size but also in intelligence, responding with a ow.
Guan Tong thought: Could it be that with a larger body, the brain capacity also increased, making it smarter?
He wasn't quite sure, but knowing for the first ti that animals could be affected by consuming items made him think of another item sold in the Terminal Store.
Naly, the [Gene Optimization Fluid]. He wondered if animals drinking it would optimize their genes like humans. He hadn't bought and used it back then because he had already used the better [Gene Optimization Serum].
After thinking for a mont, Guan Tong had a thought: "If Coal Ball can eat edible-type items I place on the ground, then if I purchase corresponding dicine from the market and place it in Shi Jingyi's mouth, it might also take effect."
With this thought, he imdiately opened the Terminal Market.
Not having looked for many days, upon opening it now, Guan Tong found that item prices had generally plumted.
He figured it was probably related to too many people dying in this rule, severely reducing purchasing power.
He searched for so recovery-type items and directly entered bulk purchase mode, buying large quantities. Since he wasn't sure which would be useful, he could only try many. Use more, test more.
