Chapter 992: Chapter 992: How Big of a Grudge_1 Chapter 992: Chapter 992: How Big of a Grudge_1 The classroom was silent as a graveyard.
Every pair of eyes was on the teacher standing at the podium and on the unflustered Purple Sumrs.
These two, one determined whether students could earn credits, the other a president’s daughter of prestigious identity, neither could be offended.
None of the students dared to oppose the teacher, nor did they dare to discuss Purple.
After a long mont, the teacher sneered coldly and stopped looking at Purple.
“Class begins now. I hope that certain people rember that I don’t want to waste everyone’s ti because of one person’s laziness.”
Purple felt a surge of anger inside and thought herself unlucky to have encountered such a teacher!
It was obvious that the teacher held great prejudice against her!
Thankfully, other teachers at the institute were normal; otherwise, Purple really would have doubted her decision to aspire to the institute.
This place had molded the once Suzanne Saunders, and so it was a very sacred place for her. She yearned for it, loved it, also missed it—she had an unusual emotional attachnt to the institute.
But now, she was utterly irritated.
When the morning’s classes ended, Purple begrudgingly packed up her textbooks.
A man’s hand appeared in front of her.
“Hello…” The slightly plump man with glasses greeted her with a shy smile, “My na is Norton Young. I’ve seen your court hearing videos online; they’re impressive. I never thought we’d be in the sa class. Please give your guidance in the future.”
It was the man who had accidentally bumped into her last ti.
Purple was taken aback, “N… Norton?”
How could anyone have such a na?
Purple shook hands with him, exchanging pleasantries as a formality: “Hello, it’s nice to et you.”
Norton’s cheeks reddened as he said, “Don’t take what just happened to heart. That teacher is notoriously strict here in the academy. Try to co a bit earlier next ti, and avoid giving her a handle to use against you.”
Listening to him, Purple couldn’t help but ask, “Are you familiar with her?”
“After I passed the judicial examination, I did so research on every teacher at the institute to know their preferences and ensure I could earn credits in the future,” Norton said with a smile, his eyes narrowing into slits behind the thick lenses, giving him a very honest look.
He took out the notebook tucked under his armpit and flipped it open to show Purple. It was filled with densely written information about the teachers.
It was incredibly detailed.
Not only did it include the special courses each teacher lectured on, but also their Twitter usernas, hobbies, any published papers and works, as well as their grading habits.
Every teacher was different, so emphasizing attendance and participation, while others valued the quality of final theses more.
The teacher who had scolded Purple earlier was of the forr type and particularly favored students who were financially strapped.
Seeing the notes he had made, Purple could tell he had invested plenty of ti and effort into this; she genuinely admired his conscientiousness: “You’re very thorough!”
“The early bird catches the worm. I had to take the judicial examination five tis to pass, so doing extra howork could help graduate,” Norton said with a smile. “There was a joke among the previous seniors, they said before attending Victoria Morrison’s class, one should change into patch-covered clothes.”
Victoria Morrison, that was the na of the female teacher.
Norton pointed to his own sleeve, where there indeed was an inconspicuous little patch. He chuckled, “I had a tailor add this just yesterday.”
Purple was speechless.
What about her diamond-studded clothes? How much resentnt had she garnered?
Purple didn’t want to wear patched clothes or create trouble for herself. The next day, she rose early and deliberately chose a simple light blue pinstriped shirt dress to wear.
Alexander Sumrs asked, “Why not wear the cherry pink one? That one looks nice.”
“Sigh, it’s not a beauty contest,” Purple sighed inwardly, reminding herself she must be discreet, discreet, discreet…
