Chapter 922: Chapter 922 Routine_1 Chapter 922: Chapter 922 Routine_1 The court session resud, and Purple Sumrs requested to cross-examine Noelle Nichols.

Allen Rivera slightly raised an eyebrow, giving her a glance with an ambiguous expression.

In cases with multiple defendants and multiple defense attorneys, infighting that leads to voided verdicts does happen occasionally.

From the perspectives of judges and prosecutors, they loathe such situations as they waste a trendous amount of judicial ti and money!

However, from a lawyer’s perspective, it can be a strategy.

Clearly, the judge also thought that Purple Sumrs was going to replay Austin Ross’s earlier tactic, as he turned his head towards the jury and said in a deep voice, “I need to remind the jury that each defendant has their own defense attorney, and they don’t defend each other.”

Noelle Nichols sat tensely at the stand, her heart in turmoil, unsure of what sort of verbal traps she was about to face.

She tried to read sothing from Purple Sumrs’s face, but Purple Sumrs’s eyes were calm, almost indifferently so.

“Miss Noelle Nichols, what was your relationship like with the deceased, Mr. Sean Patterson?”

“Our relationship… it was rather good, I suppose,” Noelle Nichols answered.

Purple Sumrs said, “More than just ‘rather good,’ don’t you think? I believe your relationship was very close. After all, Mr. Sean Patterson took care of your daily life from the ti you were 11, guiding you through social interaction, skills learning, and eventually making you a big star. You even entrusted him with private videos for safekeeping, which shows a very intimate relationship, doesn’t it?”

Noelle Nichols nodded her head, “That’s true.”

Purple Sumrs continued, “You lived together for ten years, with a close relationship, so you must know each other very well, right?”

Noelle Nichols nodded again, “That’s right, yes.”

“As far as I know, Mr. Sean Patterson knew everything about you—your asurents, weight, hobbies, dietary preferences, and so on,” Purple Sumrs asked, “What do you know about Mr. Sean Patterson? Can you roughly describe him?”

Noelle Nichols hesitated, then spoke slowly, “He was… a person with a strong need for control, he was punctual, sotis restrained, and at other tis quite wild… I don’t know how to say it, but he was a good person. He was ticulous in his care for . I’m very grateful for everything he did, and we were like family.”

“Do you know his favorite color?” Purple Sumrs asked.

“It seems to be blue.”

“His favorite food to eat?”

“… Spaghetti, uh… and pizza and such.”

“His usual hobbies?”

“Surfing the internet, occasionally playing gas.”

“Does he use that laptop of his to go online?” Purple Sumrs continued to ask.

Noelle Nichols nodded, “Yes.”

“Do you know his computer password?”

“I do,” Noelle Nichols replied, “It’s LN1021.”

Allen Rivera rose to his feet with his hand raised, “Objection, Your Honor, these questions are irrelevant to the case.”

“I am demonstrating the close relationship between the defendant and the victim, and whether it deteriorated enough to create a motive for murder,” Purple Sumrs stated.

The judge thought for a mont and then addressed Purple Sumrs, “Counsel, please get to the key issue quickly.”

“One last question,” Purple Sumrs looked at Noelle Nichols, “Did you kill your manager, Mr. Sean Patterson?”

This question caught Noelle Nichols off guard and she was a bit stunned, “Of course not! I didn’t kill him!”

“Thank you, I have finished my questions,” Purple Sumrs returned to her seat.

Everyone looked at each other, unsure what to make of the situation.

It sounded like a series of pointless questions, and why was there no surprise attack? Like the one Austin Ross launched on Henry Jason, why wasn’t there one?

According to convention, shouldn’t the two lawyers be pointing fingers at each other’s clients as the murderer, leaving the jury unsure of their decision?

The judge looked towards Allen Rivera, “Has the prosecution finished presenting evidence?”

Allen Rivera stood up and said, “The prosecution has presented all its evidence.”

The judge struck the gavel, “Begin the closing argunts.”
