Chapter 902: Chapter 902: Still Alive_1 Chapter 902: Chapter 902: Still Alive_1 Purple Sumrs looked at Nathaniel Sumrs in disbelief, staring at him for a long ti, making sure he wasn’t joking before she asked, “What is this? Blackmail? Extortion?”

Nathaniel Sumrs slowly cut off a piece of steak, the sauce mixed with strands of blood watering his mouth; he chewed and ground it between his teeth, an elegance that was chilling to the bone.

“Think it over,” Nathaniel suggested, “No one can predict what Mr. Ghost Hayes’ fate will be now that he’s in Damian Howard’s hands.”

Purple Sumrs took a deep breath, then stood up.

“The persistence you have now is just because you can’t accept defeat, can’t accept being fooled by Alexander Sumrs, can’t accept having a woman taken away by Alexander Sumrs. In fact, how much can you really love ?” Purple seed unable to go on, she closed her eyes and soon opened them, “If you want to prove your own success, there’s no need to use marriage as the price. Nathaniel, co to your senses!”

She turned to leave, but Nathaniel suddenly reached out, grabbing her right wrist, “Are you really living any more clear-headed than ?”

“Let go!” Purple shouted angrily.

The bodyguard nacingly moved closer by two steps.

But Nathaniel’s eyes widened as he stared intently at her pale neck, where a shallow red mark was visible when her collar was tugged—ambiguous, subtle, yet strikingly glaring!

Like an overflowing lake in the dead of winter, it surged into his limbs and bones, freezing his heart, chilling to the marrow!

Nathaniel was cold from head to toe.

When he ca back to his senses, he finally felt that familiar, unspeakable shock and rage!

A fury ignited in his organs, scorching his rationality.

Nathaniel gripped the edge of the table tightly, while Purple, escorted by her bodyguard, had already left the restaurant.

The attendant served the dishes, placing them respectfully at the already empty seat. Sensing sothing amiss with the custor, the attendant asked, “Sir, would you still like the music to play?”

Nathaniel’s expression was like a deep, tranquil, ice-cold pool, silent and undisturbed.

The fury seed to flash and fade away, and he slowly sat back down, replying, “Start it now.”

Monts later, beautiful music wafted through the restaurant. He had originally intended to create a romantic atmosphere for her, just like before.

Unfortunately, it was aningless now.

Under the warm orange light, the cutlery glead with a golden tint, and the roses in the glass vase blood seductively and reservedly.

Nathaniel, his fingers slender and pale, silently cut the steak into pieces, emotionlessly dining alone as if nothing had happened at all.

“No, I don’t care about the money,” he suddenly began speaking to himself, “I just wanted her to think I was useful and didn’t want to let her take advantage without getting anything in return.”

The seat opposite him was dim and empty. Nathaniel glanced at the vacant spot and said with a faint smile, “Maybe you’re right, I’m just looking for excuses to see her; after all, Jade Carlson is dead, Alexander Sumrs is dead, I can’t think of any reason to stop myself… After all, she and I were husband and wife…”

As he spoke, the fleeting smile on Nathaniel’s face disappeared, leaving a frost-like expression, “But I didn’t expect… he’s still alive… He’s actually still alive…”

Purple Sumrs walked out of the restaurant, her face still bearing the remnants of anger.

The bodyguard opened the car door, and Purple sat inside, where Alexander Sumrs looked at her with a half-smile, “You’re out so soon.”

Purple glared at him annoyedly.

To Alexander, that look seed both reproachful and angry, devoid of any real intimidation, instead brimming with a captivating allure.

“Need a lesson, do you?” Alexander hoisted her onto his lap, pinching Purple’s behind forcefully, “Going on a date with another man and still daring to give an attitude, hmm?”

“What nonsense!” Purple reached out to pinch his face, “My eting with him was strictly business!”

“What did you discuss?” Alexander asked.

On the ntion of this, Purple’s brow furrowed slightly, “He said Mr. Ghost Hayes is in Damian Howard’s hands.”
