Chapter 872: Chapter 872: Convenience of a Ghost_1
Five years ago, Roy Howard should have been only twenty years old.
What kind of grudges could he have had with Clyde Sumrs?
It’s temporarily unknown, but what can be confird is that Clyde Sumrs is extraordinarily cunning. If he truly set his sights on Atra Blanc, no matter how Purple Sumrs tries to guard against him, I’m afraid she is no match for him.
“Young master, take a look at this,” Lester Williams handed the newly found information to Gavin Graves.
Gavin Graves flipped through the docunts, his brows furrowed. After a mont of contemplation, he said, “Send this to Ms. Simonson.”
When Purple Sumrs got her hands on the information, her heart felt as if it was soaked in the frigid waters of a winter lake, thoroughly chilled.
The docunts showed that Atra Blanc had an independent fund account. For the past fifteen years, soone had been making deposits into it, and by five years ago, the sum had reached 700 million.
And the person who arranged all this was none other than Clyde Sumrs!
The naive Atra Blanc had never been suspicious, mistakenly thinking it was private money left to her by Old Master Sumrs.
Purple Sumrs suddenly rembered, before she started studying at Grey, when there was no solution for the tuition fees, Atra Blanc would always say: “Don’t worry, mama has money.”
Turns out Atra Blanc really had money!
For what kind of ntality did a man continually transfer money into a woman’s account over a span of more than a decade? How many years had he been coveting Atra Blanc?!
The more Purple Sumrs thought about it, the more creeped out she was!
This feeling was too terrible–knowing that this man had malicious intentions, designs upon her, and yet not being able to find him, her anger with nowhere to be vented, living in continual fear!
Purple Sumrs ground her teeth in anger.
She was so frantic she was almost insane!
On one Friday evening, she walked out of school in a daze and received a call from Nathaniel Sumrs on her way ho.
“Aunt Atra’s phone is unreachable. Is she at ho?” asked Nathaniel Sumrs about Atra Blanc as soon as he spoke.
Purple Sumrs’s heart imdiately tensed up.
“Is there an issue?” Purple Sumrs asked.
There was a long silence on the other end of the phone. Just as Purple Sumrs beca puzzled, she heard the low laugh of Nathaniel, “After the second brother returned, we only had a brief encounter, and he has been out of sight for over a month, so I ca to ask if Aunt Atra is there.”
His words were puzzling. What did the second brother’s disappearance have to do with Atra Blanc? Why call to ask if Atra Blanc was there?
Purple Sumrs asked in a deep voice, “What do you know?”
“Not too much, not too little, maybe just a bit more than you do,” Nathaniel replied slowly, aningfully.
Purple Sumrs took a deep breath, her blood racing through her veins. It took her a while to control her emotions. “Nathaniel, what do you want?”
“I’ll help you find Atra Blanc. Once it’s done, you transfer the fund in Atra Blanc’s na to ,” Nathaniel said.
Purple Sumrs’s fingers around the phone turned white from the grip.
She rembered Hunter Dalton once said that the greatest convenience of training ghosts lay in searching for people and asking for directions.
Maybe Nathaniel really had a way.
She didn’t respond right away, and Nathaniel thought she disagreed. He continued, “You should understand that the money in Atra Blanc’s hands originally belonged to the Sumrs Group.”
Purple Sumrs’s throat tightened, “How do you plan to find Atra Blanc?”
“If you agree, then co back once.” Nathaniel’s voice was still indifferent, “I’ll be waiting for you at ho.”
Then he hung up the call.
Purple Sumrs looked up and said to Cedric Spencer in front, “Go to the Sumrs Residence.”
The car imdiately changed direction.
Purple Sumrs did not doubt Nathaniel. She believed he had the ability. In fact, even if she didn’t believe it, there was no other option at the mont. She could only put all her eggs in one basket now.
The setting sun dipped low, the gold-hued sunlight slanted down on the trees beside the road, casting long shadows.
Nathaniel seed to have intentionally opened the wrought iron gate early to greet her. As she got out of the car and walked over, the corners of his mouth lifted into a mocking cold smile. He threw down the cigarette butt in his hand and casually crushed it underfoot.
“Have you made up your mind?” Nathaniel asked with a smile, “Do you need to make a written agreent first?”
