Chapter 792: Chapter 792: Dividing the Family_1
Dylan Sumrs died.
His death was sudden yet glamorous, dying to save another, an act that seed to add luster to his family’s face even though they’d rather not ntion it.
Purple Sumrs felt that for soone like Dylan Sumrs, who cared so much about appearances, such a way to die was actually quite fitting.
…
Subtle changes had taken place within the Sumrs Family.
Previously, Mrs. Sumrs held the reins of power. After her demise, authority naturally fell upon the eldest, Dylan Sumrs. Now that Dylan had died, with the second young master in prison, the third behaving dispiritedly, and the fourth young master who had no desire to be involved in such matters, authority had sohow shifted to Atra Blanc.
...
Atra Blanc’s disposition was the polar opposite of Mrs. Sumrs’s.
Mrs. Sumrs had a strong desire for control, wanting to hold everything in her grasp, while Atra was gentle and agreeable, wishing only for peaceful days. It was difficult for her to take on the role of housekeeper.
On the eve of Lunar New Year’s Eve, Atra Blanc and Laura Sumrs brought the discharged Yolanda Sumrs ho, and the family barely managed to have a reunion dinner together.
By the first day of the lunar year, Alexander Sumrs and Nathaniel Sumrs openly discussed—
“The plan was to move out before the new year, but such an incident happened. Moving out for sure, but I won’t completely disregard the reputation of the Sumrs Family. Even if moving, I’ll wait till after Dylan’s 49 days have passed. We don’t need to pretend to be harmonious brothers. Everyone knows exactly how your mother swindled my 15% of shares, rehashing the past is tedious, but that doesn’t an it didn’t happen. I won’t ask for that money back, but when it’s ti to split this family, let’s split it.”
What was called a ‘discussion’ was, in fact, a notification.
He couldn’t allow Purple Sumrs to continue living with Nathaniel. To do so would be like keeping sheep in a wolf’s den, which would make him uneasy every day.
After listening, Nathaniel didn’t look at Alexander but cast a cold gaze at Purple Sumrs, like a snake circling in the shadows.
Purple Sumrs sat beside Alexander, her eyelids slightly drooped, her eyes clear as a tranquil spring.
Her posture was graceful and dignified; her deanor very calm.
Nathaniel’s breathing beca stifled.
In front of him, her “husband,” she brazenly proposed to move out and cohabit with her adulterer, without a trace of guilt or panic. She was shalessly brazen!
How could he have fallen for such a woman?!
Nathaniel’s hand clenched into a fist under the table, choked with resentnt so strong he felt the urge to flip the table over.
“I wouldn’t dare acknowledge a brother like you,” Nathaniel sneered, his teeth clenched. “Making a special point of it, as if you’re expecting to ask you to stay?”
Alexander chuckled, “You should be grateful that you’re my brother and only suffered flesh wounds. If it were anyone else, they’d probably be dead and not able to speak in front of right now.”
Nathaniel’s fist tightened even more! His whole body was tense, the sharpness in his eyes was enough to tear Alexander to pieces!
Alexander was openly mocking him!
Having ruined his body, stolen his woman, and now preparing to trample his dignity underfoot—Alexander Sumrs was a monster devoid of humanity! A devil!
The extre anger almost caused Nathaniel’s brain to explode!
Purple Sumrs suddenly stood up, pulling Alexander’s arm to leave. She didn’t want to witness any further confrontation between them.
When they reached the door, she heard a crashing sound behind her, the dropping of cups, plates, and tea, creating a chaotic ss.
It was Nathaniel overturning the table.
Purple Sumrs paused, hesitated for a mont, and said, “Nathaniel, have you ever considered that if you had disclosed the truth to without concealnt when you encountered trouble back then, our outco might have been different?
I am truly sorry for what happened to you, but I am also a victim. Can you not put the entire bla for the failure of our marriage on alone?”
