Chapter 720: Chapter 720: Disdain for the Simonson Family_1

Old Mrs. Simonson was so choked up she couldn’t speak, her face ashen.

anwhile, Violet Nelson kept her head down low, even if she felt indignant inside, she didn’t dare say a word of dissent in front of Old Master Simonson.

How could she not understand, at this point, that she had been used!

She was seething inside, filled with extre regret!

So many people were waiting to dig up dirt on the Simonson Family, and she foolishly handed them the ans, causing a major disaster! Now where did she dare to concern herself with Purple Sumrs’ affairs? She was only worried that if the Simonson Family traced the matter back to her, what would she do then?!

Violet’s unease and anxiety were known to no one.

In fact, no one was concerned with her feelings at the mont, as everyone was trying to figure out how to resolve the current public relations crisis with the least amount of damage.

Breakfast was interrupted as Christopher Simonson’s cellphone suddenly rang.

He answered the call, and his expression changed abruptly. He looked up at his father, “Dad, Purple Sumrs accepted an exclusive interview.”

“That fast?” The Old Master was taken aback. The news had just broken yesterday, and there was already an exclusive interview in response today—unless there was a professional PR team behind it, how could there be such a quick reaction?

Old Mrs. Simonson imdiately worried, “Could she be spouting nonsense on television? Claiming that we’ve neglected her for all these years, and then garner public sympathy?! I’ve always said that this child is no good! She must have been born defiant in her mother’s belly, deliberately antagonizing our Simonson Family!”

Christopher Simonson didn’t have the ti to pay any mind, hurrying to the TV, he turned it on—

Nobody else felt like eating anymore and gathered around as well.

On the TV, the host was just asking, “There are rumors that you are the child Mr. Christopher Simonson had with a lover in his early years. What are your thoughts on this?”

“It’s ridiculous,” Purple Sumrs replied. “Just because I happen to look sowhat similar to Mr. Simonson, soone concocted a romantic, beautifully tragic love story for reasons that are unspeakable.”

“The unspeakable reasons you ntioned, what are they?” the host asked.

“Can I say it?” Purple Sumrs laughed, a bit playful and cute, “I worry if I say it here, you’ll be banned from broadcast, depriving Huaya Country of an excellent host like you would be a significant loss to the audience!”

The host laughed, “No, Ms. Sumrs, Huaya Country might lose a host, but it cannot afford to lose the truth!”

Sowhat restraining her smile, Purple replied, “The presidential race has now reached a fever pitch, and I believe competition should be fair and aboveboard. Resorting to digging into one’s privacy, distorting facts like this, I can hardy imagine it coming from a presidential nominee. Forgive my youthful arrogance, but I truly think soone who employs such tactics doesn’t deserve to beco the president of a country, perhaps they should consider being editors, or novelists, they might achieve sothing different that way.”

The host asked, “Ms. Sumrs, do you an that the recent rumors are acts of malicious competition?”

“Of course, otherwise I really can’t understand why I, just an ordinary college girl, would suddenly be on all news websites’ top headlines. Could it be that everyone conspired together?”

On the TV, Purple Sumrs blinked her bright black eyes, looking innocent.

Outside the TV, Violet Nelson let out a huge sigh of relief.

Purple Sumrs had denied it!

As long as Purple Sumrs denied it, she would not co back to the Simonson Family to snatch her position!

Mixed with relief, Violet couldn’t understand: why would Purple Sumrs deny it? Didn’t she know, being the daughter of a president, her future would be unspeakably prestigious?

Old Mrs. Simonson was also confused by this developnt, knitting her brows and murmuring, “So it’s not…”

“Not?” Old Master Simonson looked at her coldly, “You don’t want to recognize her, and she doesn’t want to acknowledge us at all! She looks down upon the Simonson Family, understand!”
