Chapter 661: Chapter 661: What’s the Surna_1

“Isn’t our family supposed to enter into a marriage alliance with the Simonson family?” Gerald Graves said, “Brother, you should be the one to take Ms. Nelson. It would show more sincerity.”

Gavin Graves couldn’t help but laugh, “If you were the one to take her, would it lack sincerity?”

Gerald Graves quickly waved his hands, “No, no, what if she misunderstands and thinks I want to marry her? That woman is too difficult to serve, only you, big brother, can ta her!”

“?” Gavin laughed as he shook his head.

Gerald Graves was taken aback and blurted out, “Brother, you don’t plan to marry her?”

“Tell , what’s my last na?” Gavin Graves asked.

Gerald felt this was all rather odd, “Your last na is Graves.”

“And hers?”

“Hers? Her na is Violet Nelson, so of course her last na is Nelson.” Gerald said and then suddenly understood, “Brother, you… ”

Gavin Graves said, “The Graves family is collaborating with the Simonson family. Why would I marry a woman with the last na of Nelson?”

“But…” Gerald was a bit confused, “Isn’t it said that Violet Nelson is the most favored in the Simonson family?”

“No matter how favored she is, she’s not a Simonson. Such a marriage alliance would be aningless.” Gavin saw things very clearly, looked down to take a sip of his coffee, and said slowly, “The Graves family also has favored nephews; Greta Pearce and Eliza Carlson are more favored by the old master than you, but if I were to use them for a marriage alliance, would it be valid?”

After hearing him, Gerald was at a loss, “What should we do then? The collaboration was agreed upon a long ti ago, and Christopher Simonson doesn’t have a daughter. Even if they were to have one right now, it would be too late.”

“Why worry for them?” Gavin Graves laughed lightly, unconcerned. “Go on, the aftermath will likely keep us busy for a while.”

Gerald Graves nodded and turned to leave.

As he stepped out of the room, he suddenly rembered Purple Sumrs’ earring and considered asking about it but felt it petty to inquire about such a small thing; it seed womanish to keep asking questions.

After all, big brother would return it to Ms. Sumrs.

With this thought, he walked away.

Purple Sumrs stayed in the hospital for only two days.

There were no signs of infection in her wound. She just needed to change the dressing on ti and to recover gradually.

Purple hadn’t returned ho for two days, leaving Atra Blanc nearly frantic.

If it weren’t for Alexander Sumrs’ phone call informing her that Purple had fallen and was recuperating in the hospital, Atra would have almost called the police.

But when she asked for more details about which hospital Purple was in, Alexander Sumrs wouldn’t say. He only assured her that he was taking good care of Purple and told Atra Blanc to rest easy.

How could Atra possibly rest easy?!

If this had happened in the past, she might not have taken it to heart, but having witnessed the warmth between her son and daughter, Atra was so anxious that she made dozens of calls a day, almost to the point of blowing up Alexander’s phone.

When Purple finally returned ho, Atra Blanc held her daughter, looking her over from left to right, her eyes brimming with tears.

“How could you get hurt just going to a friend’s birthday?” Atra’s eyes reddened as she asked.

The Graves family’s handling of the matter was impeccable, keeping it airtight, and not a hint of news leaked to the outside world.

Even the guests who had attended the banquet had received generous gifts from the Graves family, naturally sealing their lips tight.

Purple thought it over and explained, “It was just… the atmosphere was so great, and everyone was having a bit too much fun… Then, I accidentally stepped on my dress and tripped… and, and… there just happened to be a sharp stone on the ground that… stabbed my leg.”

“How could you be so careless?!” Atra Blanc was incredibly distressed, “Let mom help you to the bed to lie down.”

Alexander Sumrs said, “Mom, don’t make it worse. With your strength, if you try to support Purple, you might both end up tumbling down the stairs.”

He set Purple’s crutches aside and bent down to pick her up.

Atra Blanc watched, dumbfounded, as he carried Purple upstairs, unable to utter a single word.

After standing stunned for a long ti, she heard her son call from upstairs, “Mom, is there food in the kitchen? We haven’t eaten yet!”

“Ah… oh, yes, it’s almost ready.” Atra Blanc hurried to the kitchen, montarily forgetting to question her son.
