Chapter 640: Chapter 640: The Frog in the Well_1
Walking into the piano store, Purple Sumrs imdiately spotted the second young master of the Graves Family, Gerald Graves.
Following the last kidnapping incident, he had been kept on a tight leash by Gavin Graves and stopped his days of debauchery. He gradually began to involve himself in the Graves Group’s businesses.
Gavin apparently had intentions of cultivating his younger brother. Although Gerald was not very adept at it, at least he had a proper job now and wasn’t as aimless as before.
Upon seeing Purple Sumrs, Gerald greeted her enthusiastically, “Ms. Sumrs, are you here to buy a piano?”
“I’m accompanying a friend,” Purple responded with a smile.
“What a coincidence, I’m also here with a friend.” Gerald nodded towards a woman nearby and lowered his voice slightly, “We have an honored guest from Kingsley. My brother instructed to take good care of her over these few days, to ensure the guest eats well and enjoys her stay.”
Purple couldn’t help but laugh and said, “Leaving this task to the second young master seems like the right choice.”
When it ca to pleasure, who could surpass Second Young Master Graves? It was clear Gavin was making full use of him.
Gerald also seed quite proud and said with a smile, “I’ll be celebrating my birthday next week. Rember to co and have fun, Ms. Sumrs.”
He glanced at the people behind Purple Sumrs and added, “Bring your friends along at that ti too; the more, the rrier!”
While talking, he took out several business cards from his pocket and distributed them to Ryan Wesley and the others.
“Saturday night at six, perfect timing, make sure to be there,” Gerald warmly invited Purple Sumrs and her friends.
anwhile, the woman who was selecting a guqin noticed Gerald chatting and ca over with a gentle smile, asking, “Second young master, your friends?”
Gerald introduced her, “This is Purple Sumrs. I got into so legal trouble last ti, and she helped out. I am inviting them to join my birthday party next week.”
Then he introduced the woman to Purple Sumrs, “This is Violet Nelson, her uncle is a senator. Violet just ca over from Kingsley City and is looking to buy so gifts to take back.”
That introduction was rather intriguing.
Typically, when young n and won introduce each other, they ntion which school they graduated from and might casually refer to famous parents if relevant. To bring up an uncle like this, there was only one possibility: Violet Nelson’s uncle was not just a senator but also a core mber of it.
Purple Sumrs’ gaze fell upon Violet Nelson before her—
Her features were delicate and stunning, her dress simple yet graceful, and a gentle smile always played within her beautiful eyes. She seed amiable, yet there was a certain distance in her deanor.
This distance lent her an air of aloofness, adding mystery and making her a stunning beauty to behold in awe.
As Purple Sumrs examined Violet, Violet was also sizing her up.
“Ms. Sumrs seems quite young; it’s surprising that you could handle lawsuits,” Violet said with a hint of surprise in her serene smile, “Clearwater really is a place full of capable people. If you co to Kingsley to develop your career, we might et again.”
She praised Purple in a tone that was light but carried an imperceptible superiority, as if going to Kingsley was the greatest prospect for Purple’s future, away from Clearwater.
The feeling was extrely subtle, barely noticeable if not listened to carefully.
Purple smiled. She didn’t mind, as she wasn’t close to this woman. What the other thought was none of her business.
Violet, on the other hand, was even more astonished. She thought to herself: How arrogant this girl is, not showing a hint of modesty. She must believe that being sowhat famous in Clearwater City makes her invincible without realizing that there’s always soone better and that sooner or later, she’ll take a fall!
