Purple Sumrs and Norman Douglas went to the next room.
Fortunately, Prominence Law Firm had been busier recently, and the office had expanded significantly, providing enough eting rooms for them to choose from.

He sneered, “What other tactics have I not seen from you?”
“Mr. Douglas seems very resentful,” Purple Sumrs said with a smile, sitting down.
“You instigated my wife to divorce , causing and my daughter to be estranged. If this were ancient tis, this would be an irreconcilable enmity, right?” Norman said. “Not only that, but you actually want to take half of my property. Is that your ultimate goal, Ms. Sumrs?”
Norman looked at Purple Sumrs coldly, only feeling in his heart how could such a pure and gentle girl be so malicious? Twisting her brain to tear apart soone else’s family, did she feel a great sense of achievent?
He didn’t believe that Riley Montgory truly wanted to divorce him. His wife was gentle and easily influenced, she must have been instigated!
And everything Purple Sumrs did, was very likely for money.
“You have misunderstood, Mr. Douglas,” Purple Sumrs said. “We do not intend to take your property. In fact, Ms. Montgory is willing to leave without taking anything, but considering her financial situation, the divorce agreent will demand a higher child support, plus compensation…”
“What compensation?” Norman asked.
“It seems Mr. Douglas hasn’t read the divorce agreent’s clauses carefully.”
Indeed, Norman hadn’t read it carefully—he had beco so enraged at just the first few clauses. Moreover, he had never planned to get a divorce, so it didn’t matter if he read the agreent!
“After Riley Montgory married into the Douglas Family, due to your protection and indulgence, she indirectly lost two children. Mr. Douglas, you bear inescapable responsibility. This compensation is definitely indispensable,” Purple Sumrs calmly replied.
“Because of my protection?… My indulgence?” Norman was indignant. “Ms. Sumrs, we must speak with evidence! The loss of the children grieves too! I’ve investigated, and it truly was an accident!”
“Is a baseball shattering glass an accident too?” Purple Sumrs asked him. “Mr. Douglas, are you deliberately hiding this incident to protect soone?”
Norman was taken aback for a mont, then his face turned dark.
“Yes, it was an accident! At that ti, I was with my son practicing baseball. When I hit the ball, I didn’t control the angle well and unintentionally shattered the glass. But that doesn’t prove anything. I surely wouldn’t want to harm my own child, would I?” Norman’s face was stern as he spoke coldly, “I never wanted to hide it on purpose. It’s just that I didn’t want to cause a misunderstanding with the police, so I didn’t ntion it!”
Purple Sumrs smiled faintly, “I heard the young master is very smart. He passed his piano exams and his English exams, yet despite spending the longest ti on baseball, he hasn’t made much progress, having difficulty even hitting the ball. Mr. Douglas, don’t you think that’s strange?”
“What are you trying to say?” Norman frowned, looking at Purple Sumrs.
“Is it possible that you were actually led astray at that ti?” Purple Sumrs’s smile was light and suggestive, “While playing with your son, constantly adjusting angles to match him, and finally, you successfully hit the ball into the window. It must be said, Young Master Douglas is indeed the smartest child I have ever seen…”
“You!…” Norman suddenly stood up, glaring at Purple Sumrs. “Ms. Sumrs! My son is only eight years old. Don’t you think your accusation is a bit too vile? Is my son a devil?!”
“Of course, he’s not a devil,” Purple Sumrs said calmly, her voice gentle. “He neither understands the value of life nor knows what evil is. He just wants his mother’s love.”
The evil people are not to be feared, but rather, those who do not know what evil is.
