Purple Sumrs subconsciously turned to look at Alexander Sumrs, but didn’t see any awkward expression on his face.

Alexander said indifferently, “Let’s eat first, we can talk after we’re done,” a fleeting irritability in his eyes.
Purple Sumrs stopped talking and just quietly ate her food, head bowed.
In fact, she really had nothing to say, for anything she wanted to say would be too impolite to express and had to be stifled in her heart.
She couldn’t just blurt out to soone, “Are you actually male or female?”
That would be too rude.
However, her gaze unintentionally kept falling on the man opposite her… Only when she looked carefully did she realize that “he” had no Adam’s apple.
His appearance was quite handso but leaned towards androgyny; it was just the way he dressed that led one subconsciously to assu the person was a man.
Moreover, Lily Howard’s voice was actually quite androgynous too, slightly husky, which was a very charming tone.
With this in mind, Purple Sumrs felt it was entirely her own preconception that had led her to mistake Lily Howard for a man.
With a bit more careful observation, she wouldn’t have misjudged at all.
While she was observing minutely, the Lily Howard opposite suddenly looked up, curved his lips into a smile at her, teasing her with a sowhat mocking charm.
Purple Sumrs’ face turned red instantly…
Of course, it wasn’t the flirtation that made her blush; she was just…just embarrassed by surreptitiously observing soone and getting caught.

Alexander’s wine glass landed heavily on the dinner table.
Everybody at the table jumped, all turning to look at Alexander.
There was a cold sharpness in his eyes, very displeased. To him, Lily Howard’s smirk was blatant seduction! And Purple Sumrs’ blushing was the coy embarrassnt of a young girl!
Alexander cut the steak on his plate decisively with his knife and fork; his posture could be considered elegant and gracious, yet his silent deanor made him seem fierce and violent.
Lily Howard looked as if he was concerned his wife got startled and leaned in, comforting her tenderly. French spilled from his mouth, its beautiful syllables like poetry.
Purple Sumrs felt a bit guilty; she knew Alexander couldn’t stand seeing her blush in front of other n, but the issue was… that person was his fiancée for crying out loud, and a married fiancée at that…
She felt there was really no need for Alexander to mind.
The al was dreary due to Alexander’s gloominess.
The only sounds at the dinner table were the occasional low conversations between Lily Howard and his wife.
Lily Howard’s little wife seed to be in a bad mood, eating very little, with Lily Howard urging her to eat more from ti to ti.
Of course, Purple Sumrs couldn’t understand French; she was just guessing based on their tone and the act of serving food.
Under the table, her leg was suddenly hooked by soone.
“…” Purple Sumrs looked at Alexander in astonishnt.
Alexander, however, wasn’t looking at her, rely reminding, “Your soup is getting cold.”
It was then that Purple Sumrs realized her attention had been taken away by the couple in front of her again…
Thereafter, whenever she looked at Lily Howard a tad more, her leg would be vindictively hooked by Alexander.

The al ended without incident, and the servant brought over pastries.
Alexander skipped pleasantries, getting right to the point: “Lily Howard and Miss Sarah will be staying in France. They’ve co back this ti for about half a year, so we need to finish all our affairs within this period, once and for all.”
Purple Sumrs asked, puzzled, “What affairs?”
Smiling across the table, Lily Howard said, “The engagent, social status, children, and then…call off the marriage contract.”
…Children?!
Purple Sumrs felt horrified.
Even if Lily Howard were willing to make such a sacrifice, but…could Alexander’s tastes really run that deep?!
