Chapter 483: Why (Chen Hui reward for extra chapter)_1
It was twilight, and the splendid evening glow shone on the cobblestone path in the garden, reflecting colorful lights, blending into the fresh green of early spring, and embellishing the air with a refreshing and wonderful color.
Purple Sumrs’s heart, however, was heavy.
She quietly followed behind Nathaniel Sumrs, all the while thinking, how was she going to reveal everything to him? How much did he know? What did he want to do?
They arrived at the garage, a place that was usually deserted and quiet, secluded, and suitable for conversation.
“Speak,” Purple Sumrs said indifferently, “what is it that you want to discuss with ?”
Nathaniel Sumrs, however, opened the car door and said to Purple Sumrs, “Get in.”
Purple Sumrs frowned.
She didn’t want to go out with Nathaniel Sumrs. To be precise, she wanted to keep her distance from him. Once in the car, it implied that he had control and could take her anywhere, which made Purple Sumrs apprehensive.
Nathaniel Sumrs sat down in the driver’s seat, started the car engine expressionlessly.
After a mont’s hesitation, Purple Sumrs also got in.
The car drove fast, and Nathaniel Sumrs sped through the streets, the destination unknown.
“Where are you taking !” Purple Sumrs asked coldly, her face clearly showing annoyance and anger.
Nathaniel Sumrs remained silent, gripping the steering wheel, his entire deanor somber and deep, like a statue.
Getting no answers from Nathaniel Sumrs, Purple Sumrs simply stopped asking.
She turned her head to look at the rapidly receding scenery outside the car window, her heart ice cold.
Having reached this point in her relationship with Nathaniel Sumrs made her find the unpredictability of life both sad and laughable…
The car kept going until it reached the riverbank.
Below the embanknt flowed Clearwater, gilded with a magnificent golden hue by the setting sun. The water rushed, splashing waves, and the cold damp mist filled the surrounding air.
Nathaniel Sumrs held onto the steering wheel tightly, not speaking for quite so ti.
Purple Sumrs was also silent. She had nothing to say.
After what might have been a long ti, she heard Nathaniel Sumrs ask, “Why?”
These three words, as if coming directly from the depths of his being, were heavy with suppressed rage and pain.
Purple Sumrs, however, didn’t know how to answer.
Why? — Was it why did she die? Or why did she live? Or was it why did she hide her identity and not recognize him?
She truly didn’t know what to say…
“Suzanne Saunders,” Nathaniel Sumrs called her na, his eyes filled with an intense, unresolved pain, “why him? Suzanne Saunders, do you even rember that I am your husband!”
I am your husband!
These words, like an alarm bell, struck hard at Purple Sumrs’s heart.
“No…” Purple Sumrs lowered her eyelids, “you’re not. Suzanne Saunders is already dead.”
“The tombstone says Nathaniel Sumrs’s wife! Even in death, she is my wife!” Nathaniel Sumrs suddenly turned furious, grabbing Purple Sumrs’s arm, “Even if you deny it vehently, it doesn’t change this fact! Suzanne Saunders, why are you doing this to ?!”
His emotions surged, and he gripped Purple Sumrs’s arm with such force that it hurt her.
“How should I have treated you?” Purple Sumrs bore the pain, her gaze cold as she looked at him, “Should I have joyfully told you that I ca back to life, and then watched as you embraced others, enjoying your blessings of love?”
Nathaniel Sumrs grew even angrier, his voice fierce: “You clearly already know that there was nothing between Jade Carlson and !”
“What do you an by ‘nothing’?” Purple Sumrs scoffed coldly, “In your view, as long as the reasoning is sound, anything that happens can be understood? Can be explained away as ‘nothing’? Nathaniel Sumrs, you’ve kissed her, touched her! What else do you need to do for it to count as ‘sothing’?!”
“What about you and Alexander Sumrs then? How are you going to explain that?” Nathaniel Sumrs’s words carried a bone-chilling coldness, and he enunciated each word clearly, “The two of you really make sick!”
