Chapter 431: Coming with Hatred_1

Jade Carlson ca with hatred.

She hadn’t forgotten how Purple Sumrs had thodically caused her to lose everything, nor had she forgotten Nathaniel Sumrs’s heartless abandonnt when she was in dire straits!

She demanded 450 thousand, and she did so with full justification.

It was what she deserved, one year’s worth of effort for 450 thousand – she even felt that she had been shortchanged! She should have achieved greater success, standing at greater heights, instead of being a nonsensical assistant as she was now.

God knows how much she detested the job of assistant!

Dylan Sumrs, accompanied by Mrs. Farrell and Jade Carlson and the others, arrived at the room reserved for resting and personally handed the keys to the room where the paintings were stored to Jade, saying, “Ms. Carlson, you are very familiar with this place, so please take Mrs. Farrell for a tour.”

It would take less than an hour to view the paintings, and Dylan, as the host of today’s banquet, couldn’t be absent for too long.

Mrs. Farrell joked, “Mr. Sumrs is truly generous. Are you really that confident to let view those famous paintings?”

“The value of a famous painting is only revealed when appreciated by soone who understands its worth. Otherwise, it’s like a pearl covered in dust. Mrs. Farrell has refined tastes. If you really like any, I wouldn’t mind giving you one or two,” Dylan said.

Such grandiose words. Was he really willing to casually give away paintings worth hundred thousands, or even millions?

Dylan dared to offer, but Mrs. Farrell wouldn’t dare accept them. Taking them would an requiring an equivalent return, and if in the future Dylan approached her for help with troubles in his official career, then today’s gift would beco a bribe.

Mrs. Farrell was very clear about this, thus she gracefully responded, “A gentleman does not seize what others treasure. These paintings are the late Old Master Sumrs’s cherished collection, and I am fortunate enough just to admire them today.”

After Dylan left, Jade accompanied Mrs. Farrell to the room where the paintings were kept.

Mrs. Farrell asked her, “The woman in the tight-fitting slit dress today, is she the Mrs. Blanc you’ve ntioned?”

“Yes, that’s her,” Jade nodded.

Mrs. Farrell frowned and said, “She looks so young…”

“Very young indeed. Mrs. Blanc is ten years younger than Old Master Sumrs’s eldest son,” Jade said, then paused, rembering Atra Blanc’s age which was actually similar to Mrs. Farrell’s. By any standards, Mrs. Farrell was a well-preserved woman, but she paled in comparison to Atra Blanc.

And Atra Blanc was currently dressed conservatively on purpose. If she wore brighter clothing, claiming she was only twenty-five or twenty-six wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

Afraid that Mrs. Farrell might feel uncomfortable, Jade hastily added, “When it cos to beauty and maintenance, Mrs. Blanc has always been ticulous…”

Hinting that Atra Blanc had deliberately undergone costic surgery.

The shadow over Mrs. Farrell’s face then noticeably cleared as she disdainfully said, “Old Master Sumrs has been dead for many years, and she still focuses on such vanities. It seems she’s quite restless.”

Jade wouldn’t outright slander Atra Blanc; such an act would seem petty. Instead, she insinuated, “The affairs of that family are a ss; I don’t know much about it. I just know that her son frequents casinos and shirks his responsibilities, and her daughter has a strange fixation – she’s even keeping a boa constrictor.”

Mrs. Farrell, shocked, exclaid, “A boa constrictor is kept in their ho?!”

“Yes, they have had it for many years now. The whole family lives and eats with the boa constrictor,” Jade said.

A strong sense of revulsion showed in Mrs. Farrell’s eyes. Although she didn’t comnt, her face betrayed an unmistakable contempt: she greatly disliked Mrs. Blanc, as well as her children.

By the ti their chat had ended, they had reached the door to the room housing the art collection. Jade unlocked the door.

Upon seeing the roomful of famous paintings, Mrs. Farrell’s expression turned to awe, and the unpleasant emotions from earlier were forgotten for the mont.

Jade’s heartbeat quickened – not from nervousness, but from excitent.

The first step of her plan was solidly in place.

Next, she would stage a grand drama within the Sumrs Family!
