Capítulo 1675: Chapter 1675: I Have a Little Goldfish 41

After sending off the little goldfish, only Aaron Ray and Milton Bryce were left at ho.

The two looked at each other in silence.

“I wonder if I’ll be able to co back before the New Year…”

Milton Bryce sighed lancholically, then saw Aaron Ray sitting in the living room in a daze. He walked over and patted him on the shoulder: “Stop overthinking, I know you’re reluctant, but no matter how reluctant you are, can you really stand up to Master Howard? In life, the most important thing is to understand tact, voluntarily sending her over versus being forced to hand her over makes a big difference.”

Aaron Ray listened in silence.

Milton Bryce continued, “Don’t bla for speaking bluntly. The little goldfish is clinging to you now because she’s inexperienced, too innocent. If you let her out to see the world, you might be shocked at how quickly won can change their minds.”

He nudged Aaron Ray, advising, “Co on, let’s go out for a drink.”

Aaron Ray also felt that his current vexation was quite unreasonable. He frowned, got up, and went out with Milton Bryce.

They went to a nightclub to drink and find amusent.

Milton Bryce only had two drinks with him before heading downstairs to indulge in a privately set up gambling session. Aaron Ray sat drinking by himself, feeling incredibly bored.

Every now and then, acquaintances would co over to greet him.

In Clearwater City, he was sowhat known, especially among the younger generation, who wanted to know him since he had caught Master Howard’s eye.

But Aaron Ray wasn’t in the mood for socializing today. After exchanging a few half-hearted words with people, he left his seat, wanting to find a private room for so peace and quiet.

After taking a few steps, he stopped, feeling foolish for seeking tranquility in a place like a nightclub.

If he really wanted peace, he might as well just go ho.

He gave a self-deprecating smile.

Being fretful and hesitant was a sign of weakness. As life beca sowhat easier, he lost the decisiveness and determination he once had.

Perhaps Milton Bryce saw through him, which is why he strongly advocated for sending away the little goldfish? By sending her to Harvey Howard, he would no longer have the chance to hurt her.

Aaron Ray, feeling heavy-hearted, walked out of the nightclub.

The air outside was icy, with layers of white frost covering the ground.

A man was bending over, vomiting beside a lamppost, with a garishly dressed woman standing by, gently patting his back. Once the man was done vomiting, the woman helped him into a car, calling out, “Co again next ti.”

After sending off the guest, she relaxed, her smile fading to be replaced by disdain and annoyance.

As she turned around, she happened to see Aaron Ray walking out of the nightclub.

Both of them froze.

“Farah?” Aaron Ray looked at her in surprise, “It’s almost New Year’s, and you’re still not ho?”

The woman was soone he knew. During his affluent days, he would often book her services; later, when he fell on hard tis, it was through her help that he got to et Harvey Howard.

In Aaron Ray’s heart, Farah was considered a rare loyal woman. She wasn’t a local of Clearwater; her hotown was far away, and her family didn’t know she was working in this line of work in Clearwater City.

Farah gave a faint smile and replied, “New Year’s guests are more generous.”

Aaron Ray said, “Money can never be exhausted. If you’ve earned enough, you should get out and change your line of work.”

“How would I get out?” Her lips curled into a smile, “Would you marry ?”

Aaron Ray was stunned.

Seeing his expression, Farah’s smile widened but grew colder too.

“You never thought about marrying , did you?” she laughed, “I was being presumptuous. I’ve had a bit too much to drink today and said sothing strange. Please don’t mind , Mr. Ray.”

With that, she brushed past him.

Sothing flashed in Aaron Ray’s mind, and he suddenly grabbed her, explaining, “Farah, if I did anything to make you misunderstand, I apologize…”

“No need.” She interrupted, turning around with her smile unchanged, “In your heart, I’m just a familiar lady, right? Can you tell , did you ever think of as a woman? A woman you could consider marrying and settling down with, even just once, did you ever?”

Aaron Ray stared at her in confusion, not understanding why she would suddenly say these things…

Seeing his expression, Farah smiled and stepped forward, whispering in his ear, “Aaron Ray, you were a piece of rubbish before, and in the future… you will still be rubbish.”
