Capítulo 1664: Chapter 1664: I Have a Little Goldfish 30

After finishing a cup of tea, he poured another.

Mr. Ray couldn’t fathom Harvey Howard’s intentions.

Harvey Howard never gave him a definitive answer, nor did he directly ntion the Entertainnt City. Mr. Ray tried to bring up the topic, but it was effortlessly deflected by Harvey Howard.

Given this, Mr. Ray found it inappropriate to bring it up repeatedly.

After all, how could such a bigwig let others guess his thoughts?

Thus, after spending so ti idly, soone ca in from outside to ask Harvey Howard about so business, prompting Mr. Ray to sensibly rise and bid farewell.

Harvey Howard smiled and said, “Today ti was tight; let’s et so other day. I have much to discuss with Mr. Ray.”

Harvey Howard arranged to have a car take Mr. Ray and the little goldfish back ho.

On the way, Mr. Ray was silent, his head lowered, repeatedly pondering the aning of Harvey Howard’s last words.

Were they re polite words?

Or would they truly et on another day?

How many people in the business world have said those words, yet never t again afterward?

Or… was Harvey Howard trying to see if he could remain patient?

Mr. Ray thought long and hard, and finally ca to this conclusion.

If Harvey Howard wasn’t interested in him, he wouldn’t have invited him for tea. Sharing tea without delving into the main topic was a way to observe and test him, as such an important project would surely not be entrusted to or trusted in soone easily.

Mr. Ray’s mind was filled with these thoughts, constantly mulling over mories and analyses, believing he still had a great chance.

He was most familiar with casino operations at Entertainnt City;

He deeply understood the psychology of guests seeking pleasure;

With his family fallen and being a solitary figure, he posed no threat to Harvey Howard.

Thinking this, Mr. Ray felt slightly relieved.

He turned his head to the side and saw the little goldfish beside him, also deep in thought and silent, so he gently patted her hand’s back: “Are you tired?”

The little goldfish snapped out of it.

She looked up at him, hesitantly and softly saying, “I wonder how Milton is doing now…”

Mr. Ray was slightly taken aback.

Milton Bryce had just pretended to be drunk, made a scene at the venue to hold back Griffin Dalton’s people, and when Mr. Ray and the little goldfish left, they hadn’t seen him.

“Maybe he went ho.” Mr. Ray frowned slightly, concerned, “Let’s go back first and check. If he’s not there, we’ll figure out a way to find him.”

“Okay.” The little goldfish nodded.

Upon returning ho, they found the door wide open, and both breathed a sigh of relief.

Milton Bryce was lying in the living room on a recliner, covering half his face and groaning. Upon seeing them, he cursed, “You two heartless things! Really treating like a tank?! I nearly died, you know?!”

The little goldfish was scared by his words and quickly went forward to check his body, from top to bottom.

Milton Bryce swatted away her hand, irritably buzzing, “Shaless girl! What’s the point of blindly groping around?! Is this a place you can touch?! Get away!”

The little goldfish looked with innocent eyes: “You’re not hurt; is the injury sowhere I haven’t touched?”

As she spoke, she reached out again.

“Hey!… Hey, hey, hey! Don’t force to break my vows!” Milton Bryce yelled, covering his face, “Mr. Ray! Get her off !”

Mr. Ray couldn’t help but laugh and said to the little goldfish, “Look at his face. If he can run back, he should be fine physically.”

The little goldfish always listened to Mr. Ray.

She touched Milton Bryce’s face, pulled away the hand hiding his face, and saw half his face swollen, with blood still on the corner of his mouth. She was shocked, “How did it end up like this?”

“Nonsense! Of course, I got beaten!” Milton Bryce opened his mouth wide, pointing inside and mumbling, “They knocked my teeth out!”
