Chapter 1649: Chapter 1649: I Have a Little Goldfish 15

“Ah!—”

Milton Bryce scread and fell onto the ground!

He stared wide-eyed behind him and saw that sohow, a naked woman had appeared in the room, standing starkly in front of him with so wet grass stuck to her feet!

Milton followed the wet footprints with his eyes, which eventually led to the large ceramic fish tank in the living room…

He swallowed, wondering if this woman was a ghost or a monster?

“Why aren’t you speaking?” The woman leaned closer, bending down as if trying to help Milton up from the ground.

Water dripped down from her long hair, wetting Milton’s clothes, the icy coldness snapping him awake, making him scramble backward while reaching into his pocket to grab a handful of talisman paper, throwing it at the woman’s face without a thought!

He had learned so spells from a folk practitioner and had worked as a taoist priest for so ti; he would occasionally draw talismans for fun, mostly for fortune, but so for peace and luck as well—he threw everything, not knowing if any would work.

As it turned out, they didn’t work at all.

The yellow talisman paper stuck to the woman’s body, imdiately soaking through, and when she tore at it, it turned into limp paper shreds.

Milton’s heart and soul trembled; what on earth was this monster?!

“Why are you hiding?” The woman frowned slightly, a bit displeased. She reached out and grabbed Milton by the collar, her strength unexpectedly great!

“Where is Andrei?” she asked again, “You and he have been going out together these past few days, why hasn’t he co back today?”

With such close proximity, Milton could clearly see the fine scales on her shoulders. He was dumbfounded, his mind completely blank, the only sensation being the water from her hand seeping down his collar, wet and icy…

“Speak up!” she shook Milton and asked again, “Why do you sll of blood? Is Andrei injured?”

Milton finally snapped back to reality.

He vaguely guessed that she was looking for Aaron Ray, but when did Aaron Ray get the na “Andrei”?… Anyway, that wasn’t the main point.

“He… he… he’s hospitalized!” Milton broke free, clutching his collar and backing toward the wall, his heart filled with fear.

It’s really too…

Too incredible!

He had encountered a spirit!

A living one! A spirit that could speak human language!

The woman said, “Bring him back, I want to see him.”

“Can’t bring him back.” Milton quickly shook his head, “He’s too severely injured and will need to stay in the hospital for over a month!”

“Can’t co back?” The woman looked disappointed, pursed her lips, and thought for a mont, “Then take to the hospital.”

Milton’s eyes widened in shock, “? Take you to the hospital?”

He looked the woman up and down. Taking her out like this, wouldn’t he be arrested as a hooligan?!

The woman wasn’t foolish either; she went inside and rummaged through Aaron Ray’s clothes, trying to put them on herself.

She was petite, and putting on Aaron Ray’s clothes made her look like a child dressing up as an adult, amusing and laughable.

The clothes being loose was one thing, but the dress pants wouldn’t fit at all; even if she buckled the belt at the last hole, they’d fall right down.

She discarded the belt altogether, found a tie, tied it around the pants, then rolled up the sleeves and pant legs several tis. Lacking suitable shoes, she wore a pair of n’s slippers, barely managing to look “properly” dressed.

Milton felt that he was born to be subservient. When Aaron Ray was around, he listened to him; now that he wasn’t, it wasn’t his place to command.

As he led the woman out, Milton watched her with both apprehension and curiosity, asking, “You… are you the little goldfish from the fish tank?”

“Mmm, yes.” The woman nodded, concerned about Aaron Ray’s injuries, her expression serious.

She stepped out of the building, frowned, and asked Milton, “Is there no car?”

Milton was montarily stunned, “It’s hard to hail a taxi around here; we have to go ahead to catch the bus.”

She stopped in her tracks, her face serious, “No way.”

Milton: “What?”

“My legs are weak, I can’t walk,” she said.

Milton: “…”

They had only just left the house…
