Chapter 1612: Chapter 1612
“Because every ti I see her, she says this to .” Hudson Chester’s face looked grim, “Every ti… repeating over and over, Hudson, I love you, Hudson, I love you…”
This sentence caused him severe psychological discomfort. He paused briefly, turned, and walked out of the bathroom, heading straight to the cabinet in the outer living room.
“Although I can’t hear the sound, the mouth movents are indeed these five words… just like her ssage before she died.”
Hudson opened a drawer in the cabinet, took out a piece of paper, and handed it to Aria Jackson behind him.
Aria took it and looked at it. The paper was very crumpled, as if soone had balled it up and then carefully flattened it out. On it were a few lines of poetry—
Flowers and moon at dusk without Hudson;
Night’s shimring blooms a pure single book;
Lonely in love, who will share with ;
Adored is the golden-threaded gown;
Tears abound for love and pain’s twin shores.
The tones didn’t match, and it wasn’t even really rhyd, but it was obvious this was an acrostic poem. The first characters spelled out “Hudson, I love you.”
Nowadays, many websites can do this. As long as you input a sentence, the site will automatically match lines of poetry to create an acrostic poem.
“On the day of the suicide, she was clutching this paper tightly in her hand.” Hudson exhaled lightly, “The police asked about it, thinking she might have been emotionally traumatized, like being rejected by , which made her unable to see a way out.”
“How did you reject her?” Aria asked.
Hudson shook his head, “I never rejected her. We just had a normal doctor-patient relationship, and our communications were all related to her condition. She ntioned that I was a good person and expressed her gratitude, but that’s sothing other patients often say too. I really didn’t expect she would take her own life over sothing like this.”
Aria thought thoughtfully and then asked, “Could I see her dical records?”
“Sure.” Hudson nodded, “I’ll send you the electronic file tomorrow.”
Aria said, “From what I’ve seen so far, the human interference is more apparent. We’ll start by handling it through normal procedures. If you’re really worried, you could invite a mage to your ho to perform a ritual. Our police office doesn’t have a departnt for investigating supernatural events.”
Hudson’s face was expressionless, clearly not inclined toward this suggestion.
In fact, asking Aria for help was a last resort, a ‘grasping at straws’ approach. Supernatural events are forever just jokes, topics of conversation, urban legends, as long as they don’t happen to you.
The suffering of those involved, their desire to return to a normal life, no one can truly understand.
“By the way, you ntioned you often dream about that deceased girl. How frequent are these dreams? What’s the interval between them?” Aria asked again.
Hudson was slightly stunned, a hint of surprise breaking through his numb expression as he looked at Aria: “You believe ?”
“Why wouldn’t I believe you?” Aria found his question quite strange, “This kind of thing… you have no reason to lie, gaining more understanding is only beneficial for our investigation.”
“At the beginning, right after the incident, I dreamt of her almost every day, then the interval gradually beca three days, five days… Now it’s about once a week.”
Hudson looked toward the kitchen, his voice very calm: “There was one ti I felt thirsty in the middle of the night, went to the kitchen to get so water, and when I closed the fridge door, she was standing right there, still wearing the hospital gown, grayish-blue stripes, clear as day…”
“Does this girl have any sisters?” Aria asked, “Is it possible that her relatives are angry with you and are maliciously targeting you for revenge?”
Hudson slightly frowned and shook his head, “I don’t know. The person who brought her to the hospital was reportedly her fellow townsman, no one has ever seen her family mbers.”
“We’ll soon find out if it’s human or ghostly.” Aria looked around and said calmly, “Tomorrow I’ll send so people over to install a few surveillance caras in your house. For the next few days, can you stay sowhere else temporarily?”
