Gavin temporarily put aside the matter of Ruth Frazer.

As Aria Jackson said, he is neither a police officer nor a detective, and the task of bringing criminals to justice is better left to the professionals.

As for him, there is only one thing worth worrying about now, and that is Cherry.

Cherry wants to have a child.

She has always wanted to have her own child, and after the New Year, she was frequently subjected to Mrs. Graves’ snide comnts, blaming her for no signs of pregnancy, which fueled her determination to have a child.

But the problem is, a child cannot be born by just one person...

Gavin seriously told her that too much frequency actually makes it harder to conceive.

She cried loudly, "Don’t you want to have a child with ?!"

Gavin felt that it’s useless for him to say anything about this and decided to go to the hospital to have the doctor explain to her, while getting so tests done would be good.

He picked a ti and took Cherry to the hospital.

At the hospital, they didn’t find anything wrong, though so tests required ti to wait for the results.

The private hospital service was very good, with a dedicated rest room, and the results would be delivered by staff without the patients or family mbers needing to run around and queue.

Gavin let Cherry stay in the rest room while he went to the andrology departnt for an examination since it was inconvenient to bring Cherry along, as it was all male patients there.

Cherry waited idly for a while, occasionally seeing pregnant won carrying their bellies passing by the door, and she couldn’t help but look enviously, again and again...

She really wants to give birth to one... No, she really wants to give birth to two, to have twins! A dozen twins!

Perhaps this is what is called making up for what one lacks.

It is said that so people had a very bleak childhood, where their parents did not buy them toys, so when they beca parents, they crazily bought toys for their children, wishing they could fill the entire house.

Cherry now desperately wishes to have a houseful of kids.

Unable to resist, she walked out to join the fun; there were many people in the obstetrics departnt, with all pregnant won coming and going, and she was very envious, watching each big belly swinging in front of her.

A woman walked out of the consultation room, and her friend imdiately stepped forward to ask, "Confird pregnant?"

"Hmm." The woman looked troubled.

"What did the doctor say?"

"The doctor said if I don’t want it, I have to make a decision soon. Sigh... I’ll go back and discuss it with my husband."

"Just have it! You’ve been married for years anyway; you’re going to have kids sooner or later."

"No way... I’ve just been promoted to departnt head. If it gets out that I’m pregnant, I’ll definitely be replaced." The woman sighed, "Also, it was such a surprise this ti; I’m totally unprepared. I’ve been running back and forth between the copier and the printer lately; I wonder if I’ve been exposed to radiation..."

She touched her belly, her frown tightening, "Won’t I give birth to a fool?"

Her friend followed up, "That’s true, eugenics is really important."

The two slowly walked forward, brushing past Cherry, their voices gradually fading, "Forget it... better not, I’ll wait till I’m fully prepared for next ti, and have a good one."

Cherry wasn’t very clear; what does departnt head, copier... have to do with having children? Why does it seem any trivial matter in life can be a reason to give up the life inside one’s belly?

She should be grateful Gavin brought her to a private hospital; if it were a public hospital, what she would see might be even more brutal.

This is, after all, a brutal world.

Cherry was dazed for a while, turned to look at the two won, and unknowingly followed them downstairs.

There were also many pregnant won downstairs, yet the atmosphere was quite different, filled with oppression and gloom...
