Chapter 1499: Chapter 1499: What’s So Great About It

Alexander Sumrs erupted with a curse when the bidding price skyrocketed to 4.5 million in just a few seconds.

He wasn’t worried about the money, but the thought of shelling out his own cash to redeem Gavin Graves’ wife filled him with a strange fury of being the ultimate sucker.

Purple Sumrs frowned at the LCD screen and asked Alexander Sumrs, “What’s our number?”

To protect the privacy of each guest, every attendee was given a digital ID badge, so no one would know who the buyer of the auction item was. No matter how absurd the purchase, there was no worry of being laughed at.

Alexander Sumrs handed her the electronic bidder, his brow furrowed tightly enough to crush a fly.

“Sweetheart, are you sure we want to do this?”

Purple Sumrs tapped the bid button, each press automatically increasing by 150 thousand.

“What if Cherry’s new owner wants to destroy all humanity? What if they start assassinating presidents one by one? World war, environntal pollution, human extinction…”

By this ti, the amount had already reached 9 million.

Alexander Sumrs’ mouth twitched, “Sweetheart, I thank you on behalf of all humanity, but shouldn’t Gavin Graves be the one to pay for this?”

Purple Sumrs paused, looked up at him, “Did Gavin Graves participate in the auction?”

“Of course, otherwise would he just sit and wait to be cuckolded?” Alexander held her hand, “So, we’re just here to watch… let’s not join the fray.”

Purple Sumrs pondered for a mont, then shook her head, “No way, what if he didn’t participate? This is a big deal; we can’t take the risk!”

With that, she continued hitting the bid button.

The leading bid had already surpassed 100 million, and the rate of increase was slowing, but there was no sign of it stopping.

Alexander Sumrs pinched his brow, considering whether he should ask Gavin Graves for an IOU…

Gavin Graves entered the amount, pressed the bid button, and without looking at the gradually increasing numbers on the screen, turned and left the auction hall.

He didn’t want to anxiously wait for the result.

Engaging in financial rivalry for a chance to see her felt foolish to him too.

Gavin Graves went to the bar on the fifth floor, sat in a secluded corner, and drank alone.

The bar was crowded with guests, and in the dim lighting, a young woman smiled at him and walked over with her drink.

“Hey handso, isn’t it boring drinking alone?”

Her voice was lazy and husky, her seductive features carrying a tint of flirtation, resembling the type he liked: beautiful, confident, and full of personality.

Gavin Graves narrowed his deep-set eyes, sizing her up with a half-smile until her face flushed with awkwardness, then he said nonchalantly, “Aren’t you a person?”

Look, he could flirt effortlessly like this, so why was it only her?

The woman’s smile deepened, and she moved closer, clinking her glass with his.

Sotis, in such pursuits of pleasure, a single glance is enough.

After a few drinks, Gavin Graves held the woman and headed to a private room in the bar. The other party seed like a seasoned player, straddling him, gently caressing his face, and with a breath as fragrant as orchids, she said, “I’ve seen a lot of n, but… you’re special, really charming…”

She kissed his chest, her soft fingers moving downward skillfully as she undid his belt…

He closed his eyes, trying to imrse himself, but the glaring LCD screen with its jumping numbers throbbed in his mind.

In an instant, all interest vanished.

Gavin Graves sighed dejectedly and stopped the woman, “Forget it…”

The woman hesitated, “Are you sure? But… it’s already quite an erection.”

“Sorry.” He closed his eyes and rubbed his head.

“Well, okay then.” The woman got up, reluctantly touched his face before leaving, “Such a pity.”

She opened the door and walked out; the sound of heels gradually faded, but the door didn’t close imdiately.

Gavin Graves tiredly opened his eyes and suddenly saw Cherry standing at the door! His heart almost jumped out of his chest!

Cherry was staring straight at that part of him!

“Close your eyes!” Gavin Graves roared in frustration, lifting his pants with one hand!

Cherry froze slightly, pouted, and snorted disdainfully, “What’s the big deal? It’s not like I haven’t seen it before!”
