Chapter 1497: Chapter 1497: Various Auctions

She sat in an empty seat in the corner, holding a small fork, eating the fruit platter and cake desserts on the small table.

Mr. Ghost Hayes was there too, urging her to return backstage.

Cherry pouted and said, “No, I don’t want to stay with that dog.”

Mr. Ghost Hayes couldn’t persuade her, so he said, “I’ll go down to get ready first. You stay here and eat, don’t wander around. I’ll co to get you later. Rember! Don’t wander around!”

“Gosh, you’re so naggy.” Cherry waved him off with an annoyed expression.

Mr. Ghost Hayes took two steps, then ca back, pulled out a small comb from his pocket, tidied up Cherry’s ssy hair, and fixed her hairpin, reminding her again, “Cherry, whatever you do, don’t wander around…”

“So annoying!” Cherry jabbed the fork hard into a brownie, bent down to take off her shoes, and directly threw them at Mr. Ghost Hayes’s face!

Mr. Ghost Hayes couldn’t dodge in ti and hastily caught it—

Upon closer look, it was an adorably small embroidered cloth shoe.

Mr. Ghost Hayes was anxious; as an evil god, how could she casually take off her shoes? How inelegant, how improper, so lacking in the dignity an evil god should have!

Cherry retorted irritably, “Now you can rest assured, right? Without shoes, I certainly won’t run away, will I?”

After saying that, she rolled her eyes, picked up the fork, and continued eating her cake.

Mr. Ghost Hayes thought about it and realized she was right, so he didn’t nag her anymore, stuffed the embroidered shoes into his pocket, and quickly left.

Cherry sat there eating and drinking quite comfortably; it was much more pleasant here than backstage.

At this ti, the three-headed dog she loathed the most was also starting to be auctioned off.

Though it had three heads, one was big, one small, and the other was already atrophied, like a hairy lump of flesh hanging off its neck, vaguely showing the outline of a dog’s head.

This should be considered a deford creature, yet under the guise of a three-headed hellhound, there were actually quite a few bidders.

The host released a duck on stage, and the three-headed dog imdiately pounced on it, biting off the duck’s neck.

It seed to have undergone special training, more savage and fierce than ordinary dogs. While fighting for the food, the two dog heads started an internal conflict, each biting onto one end unwilling to let go, duck feathers flying everywhere, and bursts of laughter erupted from the audience.

Cherry couldn’t understand what these people found funny and continued eating.

Soone seed to approach from behind, but she didn’t pay much attention, thinking it was Mr. Ghost Hayes coming back.

With her mouth full and speaking indistinctly, she said to “Mr. Ghost Hayes,” “Look at these people. They’re ridiculously stupid, spending money to buy such an ugly dog. Aren’t they afraid of radiation pollution? Hey, did you know about the giant Chernobyl rat case?”

As she spoke, she swallowed her food, picked up the juice cup, took a sip, smacked her lips, and continued, “In 1986, a severe nuclear leak occurred in Chernobyl. Radiation spread rapidly, causing nurous plant and animal mutations. Nine scientists entered the area wearing protective suits for research, and eight of them were eaten by the giant Chernobyl rat.”

Cherry glanced at the three-headed dog on the stage, which had a mouth full of duck feathers, and curled her lips, “Tell the host later that whoever buys that dog, I refuse their bid. This person is not only brainless but also has aesthetic issues—how can they be worthy of being my owner?”

As she rambled on, the dog was led away.

The staff efficiently cleaned up the site, and soon, the spotlight revealed the next auction item, which turned out to be a seemingly ordinary man.

“Huh?” Cherry watched curiously, “What’s this new trick…”

It was unclear where the man was from; he had dark skin and deep-set features. Under the stage lights, every muscle in his tall, strong body appeared taut and agile.

As people whispered, the host untied the leather apron at his waist—

Cherry’s vision went black; she didn’t see a thing!

All she heard around her was laughter, gasps, and exclamations, as if those people had seen sothing extraordinary!

Cherry was anxious; she wanted to see too!

“Don’t cover my eyes!” she exclaid angrily, reaching to remove the hand over her face. When she caught it, she paused slightly; it wasn’t Mr. Ghost Hayes’s hand…
