Chapter 1488: Chapter 1488: Never-Ending
Alexander Sumrs had previously stationed a few people outside the Graves Residence to take turns watching Cherry, so when Cherry was kicked out, he received the news imdiately.
He wasn’t interested in interfering with the couple’s quarrel and instructed his subordinates to continue monitoring, but didn’t expect a heavy fog to roll in that night, causing his n to lose track of Cherry.
Soone’s gone missing, so naturally, they have to find her.
Alexander put precautions in place against Cherry because he didn’t want her disturbing his current life, stationing guards at the train station, airport, and port.
But keeping watch indefinitely was not a solution; how could it be as reassuring as having Gavin Graves help him keep an eye out?
Alexander called Gavin Graves: “Who told before? Sothing about getting married ans she’s your Graves Family mber, urging not to linger at your residence. Gavin, you were quite unscrupulous—just because you were upset, you kicked her out. You’re happy now, but here I am, worried sick!”
Gavin held his phone for a long ti without speaking, and finally said, “She should still be in Clearwater, I’ll send soone to help you find her.”
“Help find her?” Alexander sneered, “A hundred days of grace for one day as a couple, right? You must be worried yourself, huh? Ah, but does she even care about you… I heard she went straight to Nathaniel Sumrs’ grave after being kicked out. Tsk tsk… Seems like she still thinks Nathaniel was the better man…”
Click.
Gavin hung up.
Alexander toppled onto the sofa in a burst of laughter, almost in tears.
Purple Sumrs looked at him like he was crazy: “I asked you to find out where Cherry went, why are you praising Nathaniel now?”
Alexander stifled his laughter and said, “Gavin is done for, done for. He’s not like . He’s held himself so high for so long that now he can’t let go, knowing he’s less favored than a dead man, who knows how upset he is inside! Probably so angry he’s bleeding internally!”
Purple thought about it, and it made sense.
Alexander grew up rough around the edges, inevitably a bit of a scoundrel, while Gavin was very stable from a young age, matured early, looked young and handso, but due to his mature and steady temperant, he always seed much older than his peers.
At 20 he seed 30, at 30… still seed 30.
She couldn’t help but sigh: “It’s really unnecessary, Cherry’s smart but when it cos to emotions, intelligence doesn’t teach you everything. Familial love, romantic love, friendship, sotis it’s hard to tell the difference, right? Like between you and , married for years now, would you say we have more family affection or romantic love?”
“For you…” Alexander pondered earnestly, dragging his voice slow and long, “Of course, it’s… endless… physical… desire…”
Purple: “…”
Taking deep breaths back and forth, she looked at her husband in near despair: “How can you be so shaless?”
Alexander pulled her close for a kiss, laughing: “It takes being shaless to court you, huh? Look at Gavin, too proud and ended up losing his wife, didn’t he?”
Purple remained unmoved, giving Alexander a derisive look: “So you’re saying being shaless is actually a virtue?”
Alexander wrapped his arm around her shoulder, leaning back comfortably and stretched his legs, “Don’t you always say to value inner qualities? Why should a man care about face? Shallow.”
“You just keep bickering.” Purple kicked his legs off indignantly, “I’ve told you a hundred tis not to put your feet on the coffee table!”
Alexander’s feet dangled in the air, right by the sofa where the twins were playing, perfectly positioned.
The poor three-year-old sons thought their dad was playing a ga with them, not feeling humiliated at all.
Purple was furious, grabbing one up and yelling, “Mom!!!——”
Atra Blanc ran in at the sound, quickly picking up the other, “Alexander! This way they won’t grow tall! …Oh oh darling grandsons, let’s ignore stinky dad and go play outside…”
Purple paused for a mont, then carried her son away, “Let’s go find grandpa, forget stinky dad.”
Alexander’s face changed suddenly: “What grandpa?! Purple! Get back here! Make yourself clear!”
