Cherry heard this and sneered.
She dared not trust anyone now.
But the latter half of Mr. Ghost Hayes’s words were right; he indeed wasn’t much of a threat, especially now, exhausted like a dead dog, trembling after just a few steps, how could he have the energy to catch her?
Cherry held the bell in her palm, placing it in front of Mr. Ghost Hayes, "You can look but not touch."

Cherry asked him, "Did you find anything special about it?"

She pretended to take it back.

Cherry slightly furrowed her brow as she looked at the bell in her hand.
The ancient brass piece was dark with rust, with so patterns on the raised areas polished shiny, giving off a dim purple tallic hue.
Couldn’t see anything special about it.
But she knew this object was powerful, more sinister than her dagger, so she had to take the risk to get it; otherwise, she wouldn’t feel at ease.
Mr. Ghost Hayes explained to her, "Listen, back in the day, Taoism was very prosperous with many factions, and each faction had its own unique skills. So were good at alchemy, so at talismans, and they had a lot of treasures, and among those were a type of bell—"
He paused, chuckled twice, squinted his eyes, examining the bell in Cherry’s hand, and continued, "It’s said to be a magical instrunt for exorcising evil spirits. The main bell is consecrated to King of Ghosts, who was once a fierce evil ghost. Because he liked eating little ghosts, the people revered and worshiped him, and he beca a deity, transforming from an evil god to a dark deity. Below the main bell, there are four smaller bells, each dedicated to an evil god of the four directions. And beneath these evil god bells, there’s a string of even smaller bells, about the size of fava beans, containing little ghosts serving the evil gods."
After saying this, Mr. Ghost Hayes moved closer and sniffed lightly.
"Tsk, slls like sothing from a dead person, no doubt about it; it must have been stolen from so tomb! The one you have should be the bell dedicated to a western evil god."
Cherry frowned but didn’t speak.
Mr. Ghost Hayes seed to have seen through her thoughts and slowly said, "You don’t need to worry; such ancient items, fragnted over hundreds of years, who knows where they’ve scattered to. Finding this bell is already hitting the jackpot. Even if soone finds the other bells, they might not know their use, let alone co after you."

Mr. Ghost Hayes laughed, revealing a half-golden tooth, "Oh... you’re so capable, then why are you in such dire straits now?"
He seed a bit schadenfreude.
Cherry glanced at him expressionlessly but didn’t hide anything, "Gavin Graves has sothing weird growing on his hand, I didn’t want him to treat it, so he didn’t want anymore."
Mr. Ghost Hayes was stunned for a mont, then suddenly understood, "Oh... are you talking about that dark thing..."
Cherry blinked, "You know about it?"
