The defense lawyer was extrely awkward, “Don’t you… think he was just joking?”
Cherry frowned, “I’m not stupid, of course, I considered he might be tricking , so I asked him many tis if it’s not fun, would he really let use his head as a ball, and he was very sure about it! I was shocked too, I’ve never t soone so crazy!”
The defense lawyer was a bit dumbfounded, staring blankly at Cherry: “…So you went to his house?”
“Yeah.” Cherry nodded, “I hesitated as well, but then I thought, even if he was a fraud, he couldn’t do anything to , so I went. What if he was telling the truth? It’d be a sha to miss out!”
“Then… why did you take your clothes off voluntarily?”
“Because I lost to him. When I went to his house, I found it was dirty and slly, and there was nothing fun, so I asked for his head. He said if it’s boring, let’s play poker, and whoever loses has to take off a piece of clothing. I took off a jacket.”
At this point, Cherry got emotional, “I had never played poker before, I genuinely wanted to play poker with him! But he was too much, he cheated after losing! Not only did he press on , but he also started taking off my clothes!”
The lawyer asked, “Why didn’t you shout for help then?”
Cherry blurted out, “Are you stupid? What if I called his partners over?”
Lawyer: “…”
Purple Sumrs couldn’t bear to watch, turning her head to look at Gavin Graves, her eyes complicated.
Gavin Graves smiled faintly, repeating his usual phrase: “Used to it.”
On the witness stand, Cherry continued, “Anyway, I told him to let go, but he seed like he didn’t understand , just kept laughing, saying sothing fun was about to happen, how could I ever trust soone like that again? I held onto my collar, not letting him take it off, and when he couldn’t pull from above, he tried to pull my skirt, oh, that really made angry!”
The lawyer said, “So you attacked him with poker cards?”
Cherry was montarily stunned and looked confused, “I wanted to use sothing else, but there wasn’t any at the ti…”

The judge sheepishly covered his mouth to hold back his laughter, “Sorry, attorney… please continue.”
The defense lawyer was extrely embarrassed. She was a novice and had never encountered such a situation, so she could only take a deep breath to calm her emotions.

The act of throwing poker cards in itself wasn’t brutal; what was brutal was the final outco, and the outco wasn’t entirely Cherry’s responsibility.

The judge eagerly tapped his gavel to announce the recess. If things continued, he feared he would burst into laughter again.
Cherry walked back slowly, savoring, “It’s actually fun to go to court.”
Purple Sumrs couldn’t help but throw cold water on her, “That’s because you got lucky and encountered a novice!”
Cherry was not discouraged at all, “You should co and help with the lawsuit next ti.”
Purple Sumrs rolled her eyes, really wanting to say: “Gavin, co and control your wife!”
She turned her head and saw Gavin Graves on the phone not far away. He put down his cellphone and ca over, patting Cherry’s head, “Sothing urgent ca up, I need to go back for a bit.”
Cherry instinctively said, “Then I’ll go back with you.”
“No way.” Purple Sumrs decisively pulled her back, “The closing argunts are about to start; if you’re not here as the victim, how can I perform?”
Cherry pouted, reluctant, “But I want to be with Gavin…”
Gavin smiled, “You’ll always be able to be with later; the court case is only this once. Be good, I’ll co to get you after it ends.”
Cherry had to let go, watching him leave longingly.
