The horse’s forelegs suddenly bent down kneeling!

Cherry’s body lurched forward, directly falling off the horse’s back!

The trainer quickly reacted, pulling up the reins, imdiately leading the horse away from Cherry, avoiding any chance of her being trampled.

If a horse hoof steps on a person, even if there’s no fracture, soft tissue injuries would definitely not feel good.

Cherry took a tumble, stunned from the fall.

She sat on the ground, instinctively wiped the mud off her face, looking bewildered.

Gavin Graves rushed over, squatting to check her condition, unsure where she was hurt, didn’t dare to help her up imdiately, "Where did you fall? Does any part hurt? Can you stand up?"

Cherry slowly moved her gaze to Gavin’s face, stared at him dumbfounded for a while, shook her head, "I’m fine... just got startled suddenly."

Gavin breathed a sigh of relief, helped her up.

Feeling thankful, they were just walking slowly on the track, not running at high speed, and with the riding gear having helt, knee pads, etc., Cherry didn’t fall very hard.

Yet she seed deeply shaken, her bewildered, dirty appearance looking increasingly pitiful.

At this mont, the coach and the manager of the riding club also ca over, apologizing profusely, explaining that there might have been bees or other insects that startled the horse, causing the accident.

They assured her that they would choose another horse for Cherry, guaranteed to satisfy her, but Cherry was disinterested, no longer enthusiastic.

Gavin felt she must have been frightened, not suitable for riding activities at the mont, perhaps should rest for a while; besides outside training fields, the club also has indoor leisure facilities.

"Let’s go inside and sit for a while." Gavin helped her remove the helt, lightly brushed aside the ssy hair from her face.

Cherry shook her head, said quietly, "Gavin, I want to go back."

Gavin looked at her for a mont, sighed slightly, patted her head, "Alright, let’s go back then."

...

Another small incident occurred as they were leaving.

On the road, they encountered two Chihuahua dogs, not sure if they belonged to guests or club employees, small in size but very aggressive, barking sharply at Cherry.

Barked nacingly a few tis, then seed to fear her, whimpered tail tucked between legs, ran a few ters away, then again bared teeth and barked repeatedly, very annoying.

Cherry pressed her lips together, stared at the two little dogs, looking very unpleasant.

Gavin got her into the car, and from then on Cherry didn’t speak a word during the ride.

This day of outing, ca with anticipation, returned with disappointnt.

She seed like a product destined to be unwelcod, no matter how hard she tried to fit in with this world, still couldn’t find her own place.

Born bewildered.

Born to suffer.

Born guilty.

Born to be destroyed.

Gavin didn’t know how to comfort her, in fact he himself was stuck in a dilemma—what should he do about Cherry when his arm’s ’illness’ is healed? How should he view this relationship then?

...Too difficult.

Ti passed minute by minute, when he ca to, a circle of white ash had fallen on the table, Gavin stubbed out the cigarette.

He didn’t usually smoke in the bedroom, not sure what happened today.

Raised eyes to look at the table clock, Cherry had been in the bathroom for a long ti, she usually didn’t take such long showers.

Gavin went to the bathroom door, gently knocked, "Cherry?"

Inside ca the sound of splashing water.

The bathroom door wasn’t locked, when opened, warm steam surged out, the view was hazy.

Cherry crouched under the shower head, body curled up, long black hair like soft silk falling to the ground, her bare shoulders kept trembling... she was crying with her head down, only her sobs were hidden within the water.

Sorrow suddenly surged through Gavin, a sharp pang in his heart.

He turned off the shower, wrapped her whole body in a towel, held her tightly in his arms.

"Don’t cry." He said hoarsely.
