Chapter 1445: Chapter 1445 Sister Lemon

Cherry didn’t ask anything. When they said to go to the office, she followed.

The office was quite different from the usual impression.

The walls were covered with photographs, and the long display shelves were filled with all sorts of oddities. There were trophies and certificates, as well as decorations collected from around the world—a wooden figure with totemic drawings, a tooth from an African lion, stones brought back from the Pacaya Volcano…

Cherry also saw a photo of Sister Lemon and so indigenous people.

So dark, so thin, with designs painted on their faces and rings hanging from them—they didn’t hurt?

Cherry looked curiously, subconsciously touching her own face.

A light laugh ca from beside her.

She turned her head to see Sister Lemon holding a cup, asking her, “What would you like to drink? I only have coffee and water.”

Cherry asked for coffee, but it was too bitter. She only took a sip, and her entire face crumpled up.

“Did you co to see for sothing?” The woman smiled gently at her, “I’m not a fan of beating around the bush. If you have sothing to say, just say it.”

Sister Lemon wasn’t really called Lemon. Her surna was Ning, and her first na was Clentine. She worked for the company and was a nationally-known photographer.

Clentine Newman had had a relationship with Gavin Graves, so naturally, she had heard about his wedding. It was a big event in the whole of Wheatley—the photos of the groom and bride that day were everywhere, and reporters had blocked her several tis.

These reporters always loved to make sothing out of nothing, chasing her down to ask, “How do you feel about Gavin Graves getting married when the bride isn’t you?”

It’s likely that several of Gavin’s other ex-girlfriends hadn’t escaped this fate either.

She just hadn’t expected that, apart from being blocked by reporters, she’d also be confronted by the official wife.

Clentine Newman squinted slightly as she scrutinized Cherry. She was a photographer with a sharp eye. After sizing Cherry up from head to toe, she had only one evaluation: small.

Really small.

It’s not that Cherry physically appeared small, but rather there was a naivety that naturally emanated from her gaze, making her seem very young.

Much like the wild animals she ca across while doing fieldwork, suddenly seeing a human—it was a bit novel, a bit wary, yet also sowhat innocent and cute.

Of course, wild animals were also dangerous; if you unwittingly violated their rules, disaster could strike.

“You’re so big,” Cherry said.

Clentine paused for a mont and, following Cherry’s gaze, looked down and realized Cherry was referring to her chest.

“Actually, it’s alright. There are plenty of people bigger than ,” Clentine slightly puffed out her chest, making the shape appear even more perfect, “But mine are genuine, no filler, no padding.”

Cherry silently touched her own, her brows slightly furrowing.

It wasn’t exactly small, but compared to hers, it seed a bit pitiful.

Clentine laughed, “You don’t have to worry about that! Gavin doesn’t value a woman for her chest!”

Cherry asked, “Then what does he value?”

“Here.” Clentine pointed to her head.

Cherry pondered for a mont, then said hesitantly, “He touches my head too, but I feel like he seems happier when he’s touching my chest.”

Clentine burst out laughing, laughing heartily, “Oh, you’re so funny! Hahahahaha!”

Cherry: “???”

What’s so funny? She was being honest.

“Gavin likes won with brains. Do you understand what I an?” Clentine wiped away the tears from her laughter and said to Cherry, “Won with aspirations, ideals, independence, and strength, who always know what they want—he’s really drawn to that type.”

Cherry thought for a mont and asked, “So when you guys split, was it because you beca mindless?”

Clentine: “…”

After a mont of silence, she pointed at Cherry, frustrated but unable to be truly angry, and said, “You should really be glad that you sought out today instead of Alina. She’s a famously beautiful but sharp-tongued writer. She could tear you apart verbally without using a single curse word, believe it or not?”
