Chapter 1410: Chapter 1410: The Results Are Out
“Oh, here it ans there is no father-son relationship, but there is a paternal blood relationship,” the staff explained.
Janelle Roberts’ face turned ugly, “Blood relationship? What do you an?”
“It ans there is a blood relation, maybe a grandfather, or possibly an uncle… In short, soone from the paternal side.”
“What do you an by ‘maybe’? Isn’t your institution supposed to help people identify things clearly?! You’re brushing off with a ‘maybe’?!” Janelle exploded in anger.
“We can only ascertain if it is or isn’t, we can’t specifically identify who it is. Not only us, even if you go to other appraisal institutions, there is no such technology.”
Janelle’s vision went black, she almost fainted.
Atra Blanc usually doesn’t go out, has no contact with any of the Sumrs Family relatives, there are just those few n at ho, who else’s child could it be?
She rembered the joke Clyde Sumrs made last ti, and her confused incident with Dylan Sumrs that night, her mind was frantically crashing!
——What’s wrong with the Sumrs Family n? Do they all like ssing around with their father’s won?!
Is it Dylan Sumrs? Impossible! Dylan wouldn’t dare, and that ti with her was because of drinking, he wouldn’t dare to do anything under the old master’s nose either.
Is it Clyde Sumrs? That can’t be! How old was her son at that ti?! How could it be with Atra Blanc… How is this possible?!!
The thin pages of the appraisal report were tightly clutched by Janelle, her hand’s veins bulging, trembling uncontrollably.
The house servants always praised Atra’s son for looking handso, like Old Master Sumrs, but Janelle sneered, thinking the servants were either blind or flattering.
Looking back now, that Alexander Sumrs indeed looked quite like the Sumrs Family children, she just refused to admit it.
Sotis a woman’s intuition is utterly unreasonable, and at this mont Janelle was filled with Clyde’s words——
“Alright, you drive her away, and I’ll take her back.”
Crazy.
Truly crazy!
Janelle walked out in a daze holding the appraisal report.
Atra Blanc and Alexander Sumrs saw her co out and stood up, their eyes landing on the few pages in her hand.
Atra’s face showed a stunned expression.
She always had a clear conscience, if Old Master Sumrs said the child was his, then it must be his. She wasn’t afraid of a paternity test.
Yet now that the results were out, settled, her heart inexplicably stirred, inexplicably… fell into doubt.
Atra holding the child’s hand, asked Janelle, “The result is out?”
Janelle quietly looked at her, her gaze becoming extrely cold, her fingers clutching the report, tightening, crumpling the pages into a ball, and continuing to exert force, as if wanting to crush the report to pieces.
“Alright…” Janelle took a deep breath, her gaze slowly shifted to Alexander Sumrs, “Great… it’s the old master’s son, you’re ruthless enough.”
After speaking, she held the appraisal report, brushed past Atra without turning her head.
Her high heels clacked crisply on the tiled floor, step by step, not fast, yet strangely revealing an air of urgency.
Atra watched Janelle walk away, exhaled in relief, then an inexplicable lancholy swept over her, not knowing what she was losing or what she was expecting.
Her young son tugged at her clothes, and she awoke from her thoughts, smiled faintly at her son to comfort him, and they walked out hand in hand slowly.
Having one’s identity questioned is a very shaful and infuriating thing.
Atra felt guilty towards her son, and after leaving the appraisal center, she took Alexander out shopping, wanting to buy gifts to make it up to him.
The street was bustling with people, a loud hum of activity.
She seed to be hallucinating, vaguely hearing soone calling her na.
“Atra… Atra…”
The voice was near and far, drifting from who knows where, looking around, she saw only unfamiliar faces.
Who was calling her?
“Atra… Miss Blanc? Miss Atra? Angel Sister?… Little Baby? Sweetheart?”
