Chapter 1362: Chapter 1362

After work hours, Allen Rivera ca to the company to pick up Jane McCain as usual.

Today, he seed to have worked overti and arrived a bit late. It was already dark.

The night sky enveloped the heavens, and the spring stars were exceptionally bright and dazzling. Jane McCain sat in the car, looking at those stars through the window, feeling a tickle in her heart as if scratched by a cat, wanting to do sothing, with a hint of excitent.

At a red light, the car stopped, and she saw many pairs of young couples by the road, and vendors selling roses. Love was in the air everywhere; today was surely a good day.

“It’s a bit late now. If we go for dinner, we’ll probably have to wait for a table. How about we eat at ho?” Allen Rivera said, “Shall I take you ho first?”

Ho?

What’s the point of going ho? Besides, I only have instant noodles at ho.

“Let’s go to the Clearwater TV Tower.” Jane McCain said, full of anticipation, “I’m not hungry anyway. Let’s go, let’s go. Going ho so early is so boring.”

Allen Rivera gave her a puzzled look, “Why do you suddenly want to go to the TV Tower?”

The Clearwater TV Tower is very tall, over 75 ters, both a landmark cultural attraction and a sightseeing spot.

Jane McCain said, “There’s a teor shower tonight. Will you accompany to watch it?”

“Although that place is high, it’s actually not suitable for watching a teor shower,” Allen Rivera said blandly, keeping his eyes on the road ahead, “Light pollution in the city is too severe. Watching teors at ho is the sa.”

“What’s the point of watching them at ho…” Jane McCain pouted.

Allen Rivera sighed helplessly, “Alright, then let’s go to the TV Tower.”

Today, the TV Tower was particularly crowded with couples, probably all there for the teor shower.

Jane McCain and Allen Rivera made their way to the observation deck at the top of the tower, and after much searching, found a small spot among the crowd. She held onto the railing, looked up, and continued to look hard but didn’t see a single shooting star.

“Let’s go,” Allen Rivera urged her, “It’s windy here. Be careful not to catch a cold from staying too long.”

Jane McCain was unwilling, “We rarely co here, let’s wait a little longer.”

Allen Rivera had no choice but to patiently accompany her.

The wait lasted two hours…

After two hours, Jane McCain finally spotted a shooting star and made a wish promptly!

She opened her eyes and happily asked Allen Rivera, “Did you make a wish?”

Allen Rivera smiled, “I don’t have a wish.”

“How can a person not have a wish?”

“Alright… my wish is to fulfill your wish.”

She humd softly, as if dissatisfied with this answer, yet her voice revealed delight.

“Is there… anything you want to say to now?” Jane McCain asked Allen Rivera.

Her eyes were bright, cheeks red, full of anticipation.

Allen Rivera sighed slightly, smoothed her hair blown by the wind, and said, “I want to say… if we don’t leave soon, our noses will freeze.”

The spring night was still very cold.

Jane McCain felt like a bucket of cold water had been poured over her by Allen Rivera’s words, suddenly feeling extrely dejected.

As Allen Rivera pulled her into the elevator, she mumbled to herself, deeply unsatisfied: It’s so devoid of romance!

Even if he can’t rember to propose, at least a simple ‘I love you’ would have been passable!

Feeling utterly disappointed, Jane McCain was gloomy all the way back.

Upon returning ho, as the car drove into the Community, she noticed the road sides were covered with rose petals, trees decorated with colorful lights and balloons, particularly beautiful.

Feeling puzzled, Jane McCain suddenly realized that this road was leading to her house…

Her heart thumped rapidly, she pressed her chest quickly, sneaking a glance at Allen Rivera.

Allen Rivera’s face showed no expression at all, revealing no hint of what was happening.
