Chapter 1264: Chapter 1264
This person is most likely a blind date introduced by Ruby Spencer.
However, Jane McCain truly doesn’t intend to go on any more blind dates.
Direct refusal seems a bit offensive, it’s better to subtly inform the other party that she is ill!
Surely, they would retreat tactfully, right?
Besides, she wasn’t lying, she was actually planning to see a psychiatrist today.
Once a week, for several sessions already, although she hasn’t seen much effect so far, it’s genuinely stress-relieving. Unloading psychological junk is quite beneficial for physical and ntal health.
Jane figured she’d be free this afternoon, grabbed her bag, and left work early.
She’s co to the psychiatry clinic so many tis, it feels as familiar as her own ho. Jane familiarly walked into the doctor’s psychiatry office, lay down on the reclining chair, and comfortably exhaled a long breath.
“How have you been recently?” Dr. Kay opened Jane’s dical record and started taking notes, “Has interacting with different n alleviated your heterophobia?”
“I haven’t gone on any blind dates.” Jane frowned.
Dr. Kay continued taking notes with his head down, “Mhm, what is the reason?”
“Last ti, on a blind date, I t a sleazy guy… actually, he seed alright, although I don’t rember his face clearly, his clothes and deanor were decent. But who could have known, while I was in the restroom, he actually put drugs in my drink!”
Dr. Kay was slightly stunned and looked up, “Nothing happened, right?”
“Luckily, a prosecutor friend of mine intervened…”
“Prosecutor friend?”
“Oh, that’s not the point,” Jane sat up, “The point is I can’t go on blind dates anymore! Even if I forced myself to have a al with a man, I wouldn’t dare go to the restroom, I wouldn’t dare touch the food they bought , fearing it might be contaminated!”
The doctor nodded, taking notes while asking, “Any specific conditions? Is it limited to drinks, or all food?”
“I haven’t tested it specifically… anyway, since then, during a blind date, I didn’t dare leave the table the whole ti, by the end my bladder almost exploded.”
Jane lay back down, shaking her head and sighing, “I’m never going on blind dates again. Blind dates are trivial, but bladder issues are significant. Dr. Kay, do you know how important the bladder is for won? There’s a ridian called the Bladder ridian, it’s the biggest detoxifying channel in a woman’s body, responsible for eliminating toxins and beautifying. How could I compromise my bladder just for a blind date? It’s not worth it…”
Dr. Kay coughed lightly and asked, “Well, do these symptoms affect you attending banquets? I rember your job often requires you to attend banquets.”
“It’s manageable. A few days ago, I attended a friend’s child’s birthday party, eating and drinking wasn’t an issue.” Jane slumped on the sofa, staring at the ceiling, “But I know, if it’s a one-on-one al with a man, I definitely wouldn’t be able to eat, who knows if they might bribe the waiter or chef to add sothing to my dish…”
“Janie, your symptoms are worse than before.” Dr. Kay sighed slightly, flipping through Jane’s previous treatnt records, “Your symptoms now are not just heterophobia, they are increasingly leaning towards paranoia. Have you tried following my treatnt plans?”
“I have.” Jane said aggrievedly, “You told to interact more with single n, so my mom set up a bunch of blind dates for , filling my schedule from Monday to Sunday! If I want to go out early, I have to et several in one day, otherwise, I couldn’t complete the task!”
Dr. Kay paused his pen, “I didn’t consider this thoroughly. According to my predictions, interacting more with single n would definitely be beneficial for your symptoms, but I didn’t expect you to encounter that kind of situation… leading to even greater distrust of strangers and worsening symptoms.”
