Chapter 1262: Chapter 1262: Jane McCain’s Illness (Jane McCain Yu Yang)
After the birthday party, Jane McCain and Zara Jason played for a few more days in Pearlpoint before returning to Clearwater on Saturday.
As soon as they got out of the airport, they saw Ryan Wesley looking around at the pickup point, waving at them.
Ryan Wesley was there to pick up Zara Jason.
He took her luggage and handbag from Zara’s hands, walked ahead of them all the way, then opened the car door for the ladies, and put the luggage in the trunk before sitting in the driver’s seat.
Jane McCain silently observed from the side, and as Zara had ntioned, this guy was indeed very well-mannered.
When Alexander Sumrs and Purple Sumrs were together, not to ntion the more open gestures like kissing and hugging, they would occasionally put an arm around each other, play with each other’s hair, touch each other’s face, or hold hands.
But Ryan Wesley never touched Zara Jason at all!
He truly adhered to the principle of keeping things appropriate; though not exaggeratedly distant, there was still a definite distance of dozens of centiters between them.
Zara raised her eyebrows slightly and gave Jane a look as if to say: See, I told you so, didn’t I?
Jane nodded in agreent.
Finally, she whispered, “Actually, this is good too. Watching Purple and her husband show off their love in Pearlpoint was more than enough. If I had to watch you two being lovey-dovey on the way back, how would I survive?”
Zara Jason smiled, leaned forward, and suddenly bit Ryan Wesley’s earlobe lightly, licking it.
Jane McCain’s eyes widened, shocked by Zara’s bold move!
But Ryan Wesley remained motionless, except his face turned visibly red!
It seed that Ryan Wesley was used to this.
But Jane McCain was not; she reached out and pulled Zara back!
“Let him drive properly, would you!”
Zara Jason couldn’t stop laughing, covering her mouth.
“If you do that again, I’ll…” Jane McCain took a deep breath, “I’ll take a cab ho!”
This was madness, she thought, the whole world was bullying her for being single, how miserable!
“Alright, don’t be mad,” Zara Jason said with a smile, “I was just playing with him.”
“We’re driving! You can’t fool around while driving!” Jane McCain said, “Wait until I’m gone, then you can fool around all you want in the car!”
Smack!
Zara Jason slapped Jane McCain on the shoulder, blushing deeply, “What nonsense are you talking about.”
“Why do you have such a heavy hand!” Jane McCain cried out in pain, covering her own shoulder, “You’re the one with the dirty thoughts, and you bla for talking nonsense! Zara, you’ve changed!!!”
Zara Jason laughed, glanced at Ryan Wesley’s straight back in front, and said aningfully, “This isn’t changing, it’s facing my true self. If you dislike , it ans you never truly saw as a friend.”
Ryan Wesley silently drove on: “…”
Jane McCain: “Tsk tsk tsk… tsk tsk tsk…”
She seed to have glimpsed Ryan Wesley’s future.
…
Jane McCain arrived ho and found nobody there, leaving her alone once again.
Her mother, Ruby Spencer, was always flying around, and who knows which latitude or longitude on Earth she was at now.
She poured herself a glass of water, and on the fridge she found a note left by Ruby Spencer, which read: Don’t forget to attend the blind date.
Jane McCain pouted, tore off the note, and casually threw it into the trash can.
She took a bath to relieve the fatigue from the trip, and while lying on the edge of the bathtub, she started scrolling through her phone. She counted the blind date lists Ruby Spencer had sent her, and found that they had accumulated to dozens of nas.
As a well-known designer, Ruby Spencer had a wide network, knowing many designers, models, photographers, directors, stars… and countless wealthy wives, the wives of wealthy businessn. Any socialite could introduce a young eligible bachelor.
Ruby Spencer didn’t expect Jane McCain to find her future husband through these blind dates, but hoped Jane could at least overco her psychological barriers and beco friends with these young people.
