Chapter 1260: Chapter 1260: The Twins’ Birthday Banquet

Life has been particularly different since having children.

In the past, the couple would go everywhere hand in hand, affectionate and loving.

Now, it’s a large entourage. Three kids with three nannies, plus a stroller, water bottles, baby bottles, diapers, extra clothes, and the bodyguards on the periphery; their outings always look quite grand.

Once they arrive, they’re never idle. Constantly greeting and entertaining guests, Purple Sumrs soon gets exhausted.

Alexander Sumrs takes her aside to rest, handing her a warm cup of corn juice, and says with a chuckle, “What made you so tired? If others didn’t know better, they’d think you were too worn out from last night.”

Purple Sumrs glares at him.

Alexander, unlike her, always looks composed and unapproachable, so idle people don’t dare approach him. Purple, however, is gentle and mild, and all the ladies love to get close to her.

She could, of course, also put on airs like Alexander, but as a couple, one has to be tough while the other shows a softer side and warmth.

Alexander pats her back lightly, “Go play with your friends, Zack Wallace is overseeing things here.”

“And the kids…”

“The nannies have them.”

Thinking of how Zara Jason and Jane McCain had co from afar and she hadn’t greeted them yet, Purple took her corn juice and went over.

Since the party was for kids, the place was decorated with lots of strears and balloons, with staff dressed in cartoon costus weaving through the crowd, and a magician clown too. Many guests brought their own kids, making the scene very lively.

In the center of the banquet hall, a long table held a train-shaped cake on a tray with wheels, slowly moving along a track to the music.

“How long do you think this train is?” Jane McCain asked Zara Jason as she stared at the train cake. “I estimate it’s over ten ters. Do you think such a long cake could apply for a Guinness World Record?”

Zara Jason thought for a mont, then searched on her phone, “The longest cake is 3,118 ters.”

Jane McCain’s eyes widened.

“But I bet it doesn’t taste as good as this one,” Zara Jason said with a laugh.

“Hmm…” Jane McCain’s gaze lingered on the train cake, pondering seriously, “I want to try the 12th carriage… The 8th carriage is chocolate-flavored, it should be good too… Hey?! Where did the 8th carriage go?!”

As she expressed her surprise, a child with a mouthful of chocolate ran past her.

Jane McCain: “…”

Zara Jason burst into laughter, “You’d better hurry; there are so many kids here today. The 12th carriage might be gone soon too.”

Jane McCain, feeling a pang of regret, said, “I’m not just being greedy, I haven’t taken a picture yet!”

She shoved her phone into Zara Jason’s hand, urging, “Quick, take a picture of with the train.”

“Should I capture the train’s front?”

“Of course.”

Purple Sumrs wandered over, seeing the two taking photos, joined in the fun, and called a server to take a group photo of the three of them.

As they took the photos, several more sections of the cake train disappeared.

Jane McCain, unwilling to miss out, quickly cut a piece from the 12th carriage for herself.

Purple Sumrs teased, “Is it necessary to steal cake from kids?”

“My mom says as long as you’re not married, you’re still a kid,” Jane McCain responded, “How can I compare with you two? One is already married with kids, the other has one foot into the marriage hall, leaving alone.”

Zara Jason asked, “Aren’t you dating? Didn’t you find anyone you clicked with?”

“Don’t even ntion it,” Jane McCain sighed, “It’s a long story.”

As they were chatting, a slight commotion was heard nearby.

They looked over and saw Atra Blanc entering the crowd with a gentleman.

Although they were not young, they looked extrely charming together, matching each other perfectly in both appearance and temperant.
