Chapter 1231: Chapter 1231

Allen Rivera asked him, “After linda Johnson ran away from ho, did you see each other?”

Jas Johnson furrowed his brow, then shook his head.

Allen didn’t say anything more and took out the surveillance video to show him, saying, “We found that you once appeared in the parking lot near the cri scene, and the third set of fingerprints in linda Johnson’s house matches yours completely.”

Jas Johnson’s face looked grim, “Prosecutor Allen, what do you an by this?… You suspect of killing my own daughter?”

“Your fingerprints were found on that milk carton.” Allen looked at his counterpart without any expression.

Jas’s face showed anger, mixed with panic and shock, “I… I delivered milk to her, but she is my daughter. She left ho and I worried whether she was eating well, living well, if she had enough money. What parent wouldn’t be concerned? Besides, she was pregnant! How can you assu that just because I sent her a carton of milk, I’m the murderer? This is ridiculous!”

Allen asked, “Why did you lie initially?”

“Because I didn’t want my wife to know!” Jas explained, “Both of them are stubborn, neither willing to back down. Their relationship was very tense before she ran away from ho. Her mother insisted that she should face hardships outside to learn from her mistakes before allowing her to return! But how could I bear to see my daughter suffer? So I occasionally sent her so money and food, without letting her mother know, just to avoid further conflict between them!”

Allen slightly frowned, “You an, even though linda left ho over a year ago, you have always been in contact with her? And your wife knew nothing about it.”

“Yes, that’s how it is.” Jas’s eyes showed deep dissatisfaction, “How are you investigating this case? Why do you suspect ? She is my daughter! I only have one daughter!”

Allen allowed him to vent his frustrations, his expression unchanged, and asked, “Mr. Johnson, did you bring the milk carton from ho?”

Jas frowned and said, “Yes, I brought it from ho, so what?”

“Do you think your wife has any criminal involvent?” Allen asked.

Jas could no longer restrain his anger, “What the hell is going on?! Are you suspecting randomly because you can’t catch the real perpetrator?! How many tis do I have to say it? linda is our only daughter! No matter how stubborn or immature she is, she is our only flesh and blood! We would never harm her!”

“Mr. Johnson, currently you and your wife are the only ones who had access to that milk carton,” Allen said calmly, “In fact, we think you are the bigger suspect, because only your fingerprints and linda’s were found on the carton.”

“That’s impossible!” Jas stood up, angrily pointing at Allen, “How are you investigating? My daughter had several cartons of nutritional milk. How do you know it was the one I sent? Besides! What if soone tampered with the milk? Have you investigated Marshall Jones?! Huh?!”

In the eyes of the Johnson couple, the young man Marshall Jones was more suspicious. Young people lack responsibility, and perhaps Marshall didn’t want to beco a father so early, so he could have drugged the milk!

Allen thought for a mont, then said to Jas Johnson, “Mr. Johnson, I have two pieces of advice for you: First, go ho and have a serious talk with your wife, and second, find an experienced criminal defense lawyer. I understand your feelings, but we must abide by the law. I will arrest you by eight o’clock tomorrow morning at the latest.”

“What do you an by this?!” Jas Johnson was furious, his face red with anger, “How many tis do you want to say it?! I would never harm my own daughter! Soone else put the abortion drugs in the milk!”
