Chapter 1221: Chapter 1221

Mr. Hamish arrived in about half an hour, around thirty years old, looking like a business elite.

While Jane McCain was chatting with him, Allen Rivera finished his own dinner.

Not in a rush to leave, due to so subtle psychology, Allen ordered a cup of coffee after finishing his al to help alleviate the greasy feeling.

The conversation next door intermittently reached his ears, similar to what he heard earlier. Mr. Hamish offered to drive Jane ho, but she politely declined. After Mr. Hamish left, Jane called another gentleman, Mr. Ray.

Allen Rivera: “…”

He finished his coffee and ordered another cup.

He usually didn’t have the habit of drinking two cups of coffee.

Maybe it was just a coincidence of bumping into an acquaintance, or perhaps it was his professional curiosity, but Allen actually waited until Jane finished chatting with her third blind date…

Seeing abnormal behavior, Allen subconsciously analyzed the reasons and motives of the other party. All three gentlen seed very outstanding, but Jane didn’t show any signs of liking any of them, indicating that she wasn’t sincere about these blind dates.

If she wasn’t sincere, why did she actively contact the n and arrange to et them all together? It seed like she was completing a task.

So… was Jane’s mom forcing her to go on these blind dates?

That didn’t make sense either.

Jane is only twenty-three, her mom wouldn’t be forcing her to get married.

So, was Jane’s behavior just for fun?

Allen Rivera thoughtfully pondered, while next door, the conversation between the young and handso Mr. Ray and Jane had ended. Mr. Ray suggested driving Jane ho, and she once again declined, saying she had other friends to et.

So late at night, Jane still had another date, making Mr. Ray feel she was frivolous. He showed a hint of contempt in his eyes, adjusted his coat, and stood up to say goodbye.

Allen was also curious, would Jane make a call to arrange a fourth date?

After waiting a bit, Jane sat alone at her place playing on her phone, seeming to have no intention of calling anyone.

So, the excuse she made earlier was just a way to refuse Mr. Ray?

Allen lowered his eyes to check the ti, it was ten thirty-five, long past his usual bedti.

It was sowhat absurd, he still had several cases waiting for him to handle, yet he wasted ti here listening to others’ blind dates…

Allen called the attendant to prepare the bill.

Jane heard Allen’s voice, looked over with surprise, “Allen Rivera, prosecutor? You also ca here for dinner!”

“Yes.” Allen nodded, his expression calm.

Jane asked happily, “Could you drive ho? I had so drinks earlier, and I can’t drive now.”

“Sure.” Allen nodded and asked, “Why not call a designated driver?”

“What if the driver has ulterior motives?”

“When the gentleman earlier offered to drive you ho, you should have agreed,” Allen said.

Jane shook her head, “I refused to develop things further with him, if I took his car ho, maybe he would think I was playing hard to get.”

At this mont, the attendant ca over, and Jane also paid the bill. She swiped her credit card, complaining incessantly, “Had three als, not a single one offered to pay. n are so realistic, they don’t cast nets without seeing fish.”

After speaking, realizing Allen was still beside her, she explained with a smile, “Don’t mind , I have severe heterophobia. Whenever a man actively approaches , I suspect his intentions, then my heartbeat increases, I get cold sweats all over, and in severe cases I even feel dizzy and short of breath. I’ve been in treatnt for almost two years now with no improvent, which is why my mom arranged so many blind dates.”

Jane let out a long sigh, “She doesn’t really want to get married, she just hopes that by interacting with these n, I can overco my psychological barriers.”
