Chapter 1193: Chapter 1193: Negligence_1

Purple Sumrs was neither hurried nor flustered as she thodically laid out the faults one by one.

The other party’s face turned ashen, their expression gravely serious.

Purple continued, “You’re right, going to court would be a waste of both of our ti and energy, but if we cannot get reasonable compensation, then we’ll have no choice but to see each other in court. However, by that ti, it won’t just be a re 75 thousand at stake.”

As she said this, she glanced at Cherry beside her.

“Your dog has disfigured a little girl. I believe you’re aware of the significant impact a face can have on a girl’s future. Even with advanced plastic surgery available today, it’s not sothing that can be resolved with a single operation. The amount of pain to endure, the risks involved—I think the jury will be very interested, and upon hearing this, they will make a fair decision.”

The middle-aged man’s forehead began to sweat, his expression struggled for a mont before he said in a low voice, “I… I’ll discuss it again with my family…”

“That’s fine.” Purple took out a draft of the written agreent and handed it to him, “This is a draft agreent, not official yet. Take a look, and if it’s acceptable to you, it would be better for both of us.”

The man took it and his face showed shock, he looked up at Purple sharply.

Purple said, “There’s no need to be so surprised. If there are parts you can’t accept, you can think it over. Please give us a prompt response after you’ve decided.”

Having finished speaking, she stood up to take her leave.

Cherry quickly followed behind.

As they walked out of the house, Purple pinched the palm of her hand, finding it damp with sweat.

Cherry, on the other hand, was in high spirits, probably pleased by the middle-aged man’s pained expression. On the way ho, half of Cherry’s face that was exposed was smiling.

Nathaniel Sumrs got ho early that day.

As soon as he entered the house, Cherry couldn’t wait to share with him the events of the day’s compensation negotiation.

“She’s so impressive, just a few words made them break into a sweat!” Cherry praised Purple without reserve, “When they first heard 75 thousand, they were shocked, even accused us of blackmailing them. But then, they quieted down and said they needed to think it over!”

Nathaniel laughed, “Didn’t you want to replace your mom before?”

“Not anymore.” Cherry said, “I won’t replace dad or mom anymore!”

Nathaniel then asked her, “How bad does your wound hurt today?”

“It hurts a lot. When we move to the new house, I’ll get a new shell; this one hurts too much.” As she spoke, she asked Nathaniel, “When are we moving?”

Thinking it over, Nathaniel replied, “Let’s wait until we get the compensation. When are they going to pay?”

“I don’t know. They took the agreent to consider it.”

Nathaniel was slightly startled, “What agreent?”

Cherry pointed to the room, innocently saying, “The one she wrote.”

Nathaniel’s gaze narrowed slightly, “Is that so…”

Nathaniel walked into the room, his eyes landing on Purple who was by the windowsill.

“What’s written in the agreent?” he asked.

Purple did not turn around, calmly replying, “What else could be in the agreent but the terms of the agreent.”

“Heh…” Nathaniel chuckled, speaking indifferently, “I’ve been preoccupied with so many things lately, so details have indeed slipped my attention.”

Purple remained silent, still looking out the window.

She heard Nathaniel’s footsteps as he left, followed by the sound of the door opening, and at that mont, Cherry’s voice rose—

“Are you leaving now? Where are we going?… Aren’t we waiting for their compensation…”

Nathaniel picked up the suitcase from the room, strode out the door and threw it into the back of the car, his movents quick and decisive.

He had Cherry put on her coat and boots, then ca back to grab Purple’s arm and dragged her outside.

Purple struggled.

Nathaniel called out to Cherry.

Purple once again felt that dizziness, shadows and mist clouding her vision, her body growing weak…

She couldn’t help but wonder: Was Cherry about to take control of her body?
