Chapter 1184: Chapter 1184: Big Gift_1

Purple Sumrs couldn’t help but wonder just how much he hated Alexander Sumrs.

To the point that every sentence had to drag Alexander into it, whether to curse or to belittle.

Speaking fairly, Alexander Sumrs really wasn’t a good person, and Purple didn’t plan to make any excuses for him. Nathaniel Sumrs obviously hated him to the point of wanting him dead, arguing about this was pointless.

Both were silent in the basent.

With no table or chairs below, Nathaniel Sumrs sat on the ground against the wall, took out his cigarettes, lit one, and slowly smoked.

His face was gaunt and gloomy; with each exhalation, the smoke wreathed around him in ethereal coils, intensifying that sense of decadent gloom.

Ever since she got pregnant, Purple’s sense of sll had beco extrely sensitive; she couldn’t stand even the slightest foul odor.

The basent was just a place the drug dealers built to hide drugs and weapons, and it didn’t have any ventilation systems.

She subtly turned away, covering her mouth and nose.

Seeing this, Nathaniel smiled faintly and put out his cigarette.

This was a trivial gesture, but it left Purple feeling uneasy. She knew Nathaniel hated her, yet even when she showed discomfort, he was still willing to extinguish his cigarette.

Of course, Purple wouldn’t delude herself into thinking that Nathaniel still loved her.

She knew it was the upbringing embedded in his bones, the gentlemanly deanor he had cultivated over his first twenty-five years, which wouldn’t vanish because he’d turned bad one day, completely forsaking his true nature.

Nathaniel was ultimately different from Alexander.

Even with all the hatred in his heart, he wouldn’t resort to brutally skinning and flaying flesh, but rather placed a greater emphasis on tornting the spirit.

…Perhaps because the greatest pain he suffered ca from the mind.

Purple thought a lot, and in the quiet, she said to Nathaniel, “Let it go.”

Nathaniel raised his eyes slightly, looking at her.

Purple said, “If you have no intention of killing , just let it go. You can’t hide here forever, nor can you keep locked up for a lifeti. Alexander will eventually find , and as long as I am alive, I will think of ways to escape.

The longer you drag this out, the worse it will end up being. Nathaniel, why force yourself into a corner?”

Nathaniel laughed a little.

Purple asked him, “Already resigned to your fate? Or do you think you can outfight Alexander?”

“Do you rember what happened on the day of my wedding?” Nathaniel suddenly brought up the past.

Purple was slightly stunned, looking at him doubtfully.

“I was very angry then. My legitimate wife, because Alexander interfered, inexplicably beca my sister, and she was cozy with that guy Alexander. It was very humiliating… Then, quite unfortunately, I t May Francis. You should know, right? May Francis was originally the vessel Alexander prepared for you.”

Nathaniel laughed self-deprecatingly, then continued, “So, I wondered if I could switch you two.”

Purple rembered the tragedy of that day, her brow furrowed, “But you don’t know how to perform rituals.”

“I really don’t, so I just wanted to try,” Nathaniel said. “If it worked, you would still be my wife. If it failed, I’d keep you like I did with Cherry, since either outco would cause Alexander pain, why wouldn’t I do it?”

If it succeeded, she would be resurrected in May Francis’ body.

If it failed, she would beco a little ghost in Nathaniel’s hands.

“I just didn’t expect to be interrupted by a few crows,” Nathaniel sighed lightly. “I thought that was the end of it… Hah, but Alexander gave a big gift.”

“A gift?” Purple frowned.

Nathaniel nodded with a smile, “When May Francis died, Cherry consud her soul, and afterwards, she suddenly changed. Not only could she possess bodies, but also control little ghosts. I guess during the soul-transfer, the mage did sothing to May Francis’ living soul. I don’t know the specifics, but obviously, Alexander inadvertently turned Cherry into sothing powerful. Wouldn’t you say that’s a big gift?”
