Chapter 1171: Chapter 1171: Pressure_1

Purple Sumrs asked Alexander Sumrs if he had thought of a na yet.

Alexander said, “Let’s start with nicknas, we can think about formal nas later.”

“Even if it’s just nicknas, Big Baby and Little Baby seem so perfunctory!” Purple Sumrs was annoyed.

“Boys’ nicknas don’t need to be so ticulous, it’s fine to call them anything casually,” Alexander comforted Purple Sumrs. “Let’s head back to the ward to rest. You’ve only had a sip of water since you woke up, you need to go back and replenish your nutrients. You can see the kids anyti.”

Indeed, Purple Sumrs felt weak. Since giving birth, she had been sweating profusely, drenched in sweat, and didn’t have the strength to even clench her fist tightly.

But looking at the two little babies in the incubator, she could never get enough of them and couldn’t bear to leave.

Just looking at them, her heart was filled with emotion and her chest felt warm and swollen.

The little babies are so cute…

So wonderful…

It was just like Atra Blanc had said, once the child is born, you feel like all the hardships you’ve endured were worth it.

Thinking about the fact that she had beco a mother and would personally raise her children and provide for them, Purple Sumrs felt eager to try.

Her eyes gazing through the glass window, she asked the man beside her, “Alexander, how does it feel to step up to the role of a father?”

Alexander too was looking at the two little ones.

The woman he loved had given birth to his children. Of course he was happy, but… boys are often mischievous and naughty, like little mud monkeys, not as delicate and adorable as little girls.

If they had a daughter, just imagining Purple Sumrs holding the girl, the elder cooing ‘husband’ sweetly and the younger one whining ‘daddy’ tenderly, would make Alexander’s heart lt…

But what about having sons?

Their childhood mischief of climbing walls and trees, the rebellious phase during adolescence always at odds with their parents, and as they grew up, marrying so unreliable woman, bringing her into the family, and causing mother-in-law and daughter-in-law conflicts with Purple Sumrs… it was distressing no matter how he thought about it.

Alexander frowned slightly and said indifferently, “I feel a bit pressured.”

“Yeah, too,” Purple Sumrs, gazing at the children, said with a sense of wonder, “I suddenly feel like I have more responsibility and it’s more stressful than before.”

“…” Alexander glanced at her; he felt that this kind of pressure Purple Sumrs was talking about was completely unnecessary.

After seeing the children, the two returned to the ward where Atra Blanc had already arrived, bringing breakfast for Purple Sumrs from an insulated box.

Purple Sumrs had just given birth and her body was still weak, with poor spleen and stomach function, so Atra Blanc didn’t dare to prepare anything too nourishing, only making shrimp congee, which was light, tasty, nutritious, and good for calcium supplentation.

After finishing a bowl of congee, Purple Sumrs sweated even more profusely and her back was drenched. After changing into a set of fresh dry clothes, she lay down again.

As Atra Blanc was wiping her sweat with a dry towel, she said, “During your puerperium, don’t think about anything, just eat well, sleep well, and keep your spirits up. That way, your milk will be good and the baby who drinks it will be healthier…”

Hearing Atra Blanc say this, that warm and swollen feeling in Purple Sumrs’ chest intensified.

She couldn’t help but press her lips together in a smile, feeling an indescribable mix of emotions—joy, shyness, curiosity, and a bit of excitent.

It was as if breastfeeding was a major event.

After Atra Blanc looked after her, she pulled the curtains close, and the room grew dim.

Purple Sumrs willingly closed her eyes. She had only slept three to four hours the previous night. Now that her stomach was full, she quickly fell asleep again.

She didn’t know how long she slept.

Half-asleep and half-awake, she saw a blurry figure in front of her, not Atra Blanc nor Alexander Sumrs.

Purple Sumrs struggled to open her weary eyes and saw it was the smiling nurse.

The nurse checked her temperature again and said with a smile, “Your temperature is a little high, make sure you keep hydrated.”

Purple Sumrs nodded, and then looked around the room, finding it empty.

The nurse said, “They went upstairs to see the little babies. Just now, soone pressed the fire alarm by mistake, nearly causing a big commotion. Fortunately, it was a false alarm with no actual fire, but the newborns were scared and are all crying.”
