Chapter 1166: Chapter 1166: Obtaining ntal Disturbance_1
The weather was getting colder, and Purple Sumrs’s due date was gradually approaching.
She spent two weeks finishing the term paper due at the end of the sester and then another day checking and revising it. Once it was error-free, she had it sent to the school.
After turning in the assignnt, she wandered around the house aimlessly.
She strolled into the study, where Alexander Sumrs was in the middle of a video conference; into the dining room, where Atra Blanc was making fresh flower cakes following a tutorial; and up to the front gate, where the cold wind was biting outside—too cold to go out.
Purple Sumrs returned to the bedroom and lay down, her body heavy and uncomfortable no matter how she positioned herself.
In the silence, anxiety was growing.
Purple Sumrs sighed, propped herself up on her elbows, sat up, and leaned against the bed, her hand caressing her stomach as she contemplated.
Alexander opened the door and peered at her, amusent twinkling in his eyes, “What’s the matter, pre-birth jitters?”
“Not really…” Purple murmured, cradling her belly in her hands.
Alexander also reached over to gently touch her belly, and Purple asked him, “Have you thought of any nas for the baby?”
“I have,” Alexander said with a proud expression, as if he had been prepared, “Mu Nian Su, Mu Nian Zi.”
Purple Sumrs blushed slightly; that was a bit too straightforward…
Alexander continued, “Mu Ai Su, Mu Ai Zi also sound good.”
Purple muttered to herself: Is he naming a child or writing a love poem?
“Those are all girls’ nas,” Purple murmured softly. “What if it’s a boy?”
Alexander frowned, “Did the doctor say it’s a boy?”
“No,” Purple shook her head lightly. “But the doctor didn’t say it was definitely a girl either.”
“If the doctor didn’t say it, then it’s definitely a girl!” Alexander asserted confidently. “If it were a boy, he would have congratulated your dad by now. Everyone knows how desperately the Simonson family wants a boy.”
Purple Sumrs was half-convinced, “Is that so? …But my mom said looking at the shape of my belly, it looks like a boy.”
Alexander laughed, “Mom? You believe her half-baked knowledge of traditional dicine? The Blanc Family’s dical skills are passed down to males, not females, though our mom’s nursing skills are quite sothing.”
“…” Purple silently gave him a sidelong glance.
She thought Alexander was crazy; when he went off on a tangent, there was no stopping him—utterly childish.
“At least she has half-baked knowledge; you have none…” Purple grumbled, “You should have thought of so boy’s nas as a backup.”
At this, Alexander furrowed his brows in thought.
Purple Sumrs’s eyes widened slightly, “You haven’t thought of a single boy’s na, have you?”
“There’s still ti, we’ll discuss it later,” Alexander said, clearly irritable and uninterested in thinking of nas for a boy.
Purple couldn’t help but blurt out, “It’s not early! I’m giving birth next week!”
They had already scheduled the caesarean section for next Monday.
“Don’t worry, don’t worry…” Alexander soothed Purple’s back, trying to calm her, “There are still two days left. Let call my father-in-law tomorrow. He’s a man of culture. I’ll have him help think of sothing…”
Purple got annoyed, hugged her belly, and flopped onto Alexander, pinching his face hard.
Alexander grimaced from the pinch but still teased her, “Darling… my face doesn’t matter, but be careful not to push the baby out…”
Purple huffed heavily.
But her belly really did seem sowhat uncomfortable…
As the months progressed, her body was always uneasy, getting winded after just a few steps, with aching legs and a sore back, eating was tasteless, and she felt restless inside.
Purple had never imagined pregnancy would feel like this. It wasn’t exactly torture, but more like the slow grind of a blunt knife, making her wish the doctor would just hurry up and make a clean slice to put her out of her misery.
Alexander hugged her and kissed her, sweetly coaxing her, “Don’t be anxious, you only have to go through this once. We won’t put you through this again.”
Purple replied, not without so irritation, “I’d be amazed if your words were ever believable!”
