Chapter 1135: Chapter 1135: Which One to Choose_1
Alexander Sumrs’s feelings for Clyde Sumrs were exceedingly complex.
In his limited childhood, Clyde’s protection allowed Alexander and Atra Blanc to live a comfortable life in the Sumrs Family, and at least during that ti, he was filled with gratitude.
However, as he grew a little older, he interpreted the look in Clyde’s eyes when facing Atra Blanc and understood the dirty and shady thoughts, saw the distress and panic of his mother, and Alexander felt indignant, humiliated!
So, when his wings were slightly fuller, the first person he dealt with was Clyde.
Clyde was the key to the Sumrs Family; with him out of the picture, Mrs. Sumrs and Dylan Sumrs were like fish on a chopping block, to be sliced or carved as one pleased.
He sent Clyde to jail, but he did not expect Clyde to be released early, and forcibly take Atra Blanc away!
He really should have killed Clyde!
…But he couldn’t because now, Clyde had saved Atra Blanc.
If Clyde were to die because of Atra Blanc, not only would she forgive his violent abduction, but she would also bla herself for Clyde’s death and suffer in tornt forever!
—He wanted him dead, yet he couldn’t let him die!
Alexander was caught in a strange contradiction.
Zack Wallace was dumbfounded for a while, failing to understand why “do everything possible to treat him” was followed by “it would be better if he died.”
Due to the excessive number of injured and the shortage of dicines at Winterfell Affiliated Hospital, Alexander took Atra Blanc to another hospital for a thorough examination to avoid any mishaps on the way.
So detailed brain examinations would take a few days to determine the results, and Alexander stayed with her in the hospital for a night.
Atra Blanc was always groggy, asking what the date was at one mont and where they were the next. After she fell asleep, Alexander finally found the ti to call Purple Sumrs.
Purple Sumrs asked him, “How’s mom? Is she alright?”
“Mom is by my side, just went to sleep,” Alexander looked at Atra Blanc on the hospital bed and sighed internally, “The doctor said she has a mild concussion, and she should be discharged after a few days of observation.”
“The injuries aren’t serious, are they?” Purple Sumrs asked with concern.
The images on the news were still vivid in her mind; nearly every injured person was a bloody ss.
Alexander gazed solemnly at the sleeping Atra Blanc, his heart not sure if it was more relieved or bitter, and said softly, “Mom is fine… She got cuts on her arms and legs, but they’re all flesh wounds, no bones or tendons damaged, don’t worry.”
Purple exhaled a long breath, feeling like she had dodged a bullet.
“Then that’s good,” she exclaid.
Alexander pondered for a while before saying, “Purple, mom has amnesia.”
Purple was stunned; not again…
“It’s selective amnesia, there have been two instances before when faced with sothing unpleasant, she… tends to retract, pretending she doesn’t rember those events…”
Alexander paused, feeling a suffocating discomfort in his chest, and after a mont, he continued, “She’s forgotten the whole experience of being taken away by Clyde. In a couple of days, I’ll bring her ho, rember not to ntion anything that happened before the earthquake, and also tell the servants not to ntion it.”
“Okay, I understand,” Purple said with mixed emotions, “Take good care of mom there.”
“When are you going to Kingsley?” Alexander asked.
“Tomorrow,” replied Purple, “Tomorrow Zara and Jane McCain go back to Clearwater, I’m going to Kingsley, we’ll take the high-speed train together, it’s nice to have company on the way.”
“The new sester is starting with internships, right?”
“Yes, the school will arrange for us to attend court hearings, participate in the work of the Prosecutor’s Office, and also act as public defenders. After the internship is over, we have the option to choose a career as a judge, a prosecutor, or a lawyer that suits us best.”
Alexander asked with a slight smile, “Which one are you thinking of choosing?”
