Chapter 1133: Chapter 1133: It’s Done_1
Purple Sumrs agreed, and then asked him, “When will you be back?”
“The rescue has basically ended, but the remaining work will still take so ti…” Ryan Wesley hesitated, “I might not return until next week.”
Purple Sumrs glanced at Zara Jason and inquired, “After you finish your work there, will you go back to school directly, or…”
Ryan rushed to say, “I, I’ll take leave! I’ll go back to Clearwater first, then to the school…”
Purple Sumrs breathed a sigh of relief.
Knowing he would see his girlfriend first ant there was still hope.
As for Zara Jason’s emotional scars, they could only be slowly healed by Ryan Wesley himself.
After the call, the three won watched the news for a while, then went back to their rooms to rest.
Purple Sumrs couldn’t fall asleep; she was thinking about Alexander Sumrs.
Based on the ti, Alexander should have already arrived at Spring River. Winterfell Affiliated Hospital was located on the outskirts of Spring River and was not hard to find, but… Purple Sumrs thought about Atra Blanc’s amnesia and felt a headache coming on.
How to smoothly bring Mom back ho was a problem.
Purple Sumrs unlocked her phone, saw no unread ssages or missed calls, and had no idea whether Alexander had seen Atra Blanc by now.
She tried to make a call, but the line was busy and the connection failed.
Purple Sumrs sighed, closed her eyes, and patiently waited for news…
…
The hospital was chaotic and noisy, the wards filled with patients, the corridors crowded with dical beds and makeshift mattresses.
Alexander Sumrs stood at the entrance of the ward, while doctors and nurses rushed by him. After a short wait, Zack Wallace and a few others struggled through the throng and made it over.
“The car is parked quite far. We’ll have to walk a bit; everything out there is packed with vehicles, except for an ergency passage for transporting patients.”
Zack unfolded a wheelchair, and Alexander lifted Atra Blanc from the bed onto the wheelchair.
Atra, who had been sleeping, woke up groggily and asked Alexander, “Where are we going?”
“There are too many patients here, Mom. We’re switching hospitals,” Alexander replied.
Atra’s injuries still hurt and she was in a dazed state. She nodded her head upon hearing this, not asking which hospital they were changing to.
With soone leading the way, they pushed Atra out of the hospital.
Two steps behind, Alexander asked Zack Wallace, “Has the patient regained consciousness?”
Zack nodded: “When the rescue team found them, Clyde Sumrs was on top, protecting her. He has a crush injury to his spine and both legs… He’s barely alive now, and staying here won’t cure him. Even if he does recover, he’ll be paralyzed from the waist down…”
Zack, probably feeling that it was too tragic, hesitated and then asked Alexander, “Sir, do you think we should…”
“Should what?” Alexander glanced at him coldly, “Save him? If he hadn’t taken my mother to that place, would she have suffered like this?”
Zack offered a sheepish smile, “Ah… You are right, of course…”
Agitated, Alexander fell silent for a while, then asked Zack, “Did Clyde actively contact you?”
“Yes… As you have seen, the hospital is overflowing with patients, doctors and nurses are busy saving lives, and the identity registry is a ss. There’s no starting point for a search. Then a nurse ca up to , asking if I was looking for a woman nad Atra Blanc. I said yes and she led to her…” Zack cautiously observed Alexander’s expression, “The hospital beds are in high demand, he’s seriously ill, but he insisted on giving up his bed for his wife…”
At the word “wife,” Alexander’s expression turned abruptly grim, filling with nace.
Zack broke into a cold sweat, hurriedly clarifying, “It was them, not ! I ant the doctors and nurses at the hospital—they mistook them for husband and wife!… After all, they were dug out from the debris together…”
Alexander’s expression grew even more displeased, “Enough! Where is he now?”
