Chapter 1115: Chapter 1115: Go Back_1

A bouquet of black roses suddenly delivered to the hotel raised alarm bells for everyone.

The blooming roses signified that the criminal was about to make a move! — Who would die tonight? Could it be Purple Sumrs? Or another woman?

Everyone was on tenterhooks, their minds in turmoil.

So of the more faint-hearted won were scared into tears, locking their doors and windows, afraid to go out.

The police officer led his team to check every room, carefully inspecting the doors, windows, and even the ventilation systems, before assigning additional officers to stand guard in a state of readiness.

Purple Sumrs had also conducted a thorough check on her end.

The chanisms were intact, the alarm system functioned perfectly, and the tranquilizer guns were precisely aid. Everything was in order, except for the opportune mont.

Purple Sumrs returned to her room, looking out at the pitch-dark and nacing sky, her heartbeat pounding for so reason.

She knew she didn’t have to be afraid or worry — even if all the gadgets in the room proved ineffective, across from the hotel, Alexander had arranged for a sniper!

If any suspicious individual attempted to break into the room, they would be imdiately shot dead!

She sat on the sofa, her hands unconsciously clasped together, tightly squeezing her knuckles, unsettled.

Even though all arrangents were properly in place, she couldn’t control the unease in her heart, and with her eyelids twitching, she eventually couldn’t sit still and stood up to pace around the room.

The baby in her belly seed to sense her unease as well and moved a few tis.

Purple Sumrs decided to rest behind the hidden door.

Since becoming pregnant, Purple Sumrs had managed to adjust her sleeping patterns well; she would wash up and go to bed around nine o’clock. However, tonight, she had just fallen asleep when she had a nightmare and woke up in fright.

She couldn’t rember the specific details of the dream, only that she woke up with a terrible sense of panic, instinctively wanting to find Alexander.

But the space beside her was empty.

Purple Sumrs sat stunned for a long while before she realized she was in the hotel.

She glanced at the ti — it was just ten PM. Would the killer co at this ti, … or would the killer wait until later?

Purple Sumrs couldn’t fall asleep again; she sat up.

“Madam, are you feeling unwell?” the female bodyguard guarding the room asked in a low voice.

Purple Sumrs shook her head.

The warm light from the bedside lamp was hazy, as if veiled in a layer of mist, serene and gloomy.

Yet Purple Sumrs’s heart grew increasingly anxious, an inexplicable sense of urgency.

After enduring for about an hour with still no sign of trouble outside, she wondered if the killer would wait until the early hours to make an appearance. Or perhaps the killer never intended to co tonight at all. What about tomorrow? Or the day after? Was the delivery of the black roses today just a cruel jest?

Purple Sumrs felt agitated, wanting to do or say sothing.

“If I were the killer, what would I do?” Purple Sumrs questioned herself inwardly, “On the first day of sending the roses, guards are most vigilant, making it difficult to succeed. What about the second day? If nothing happens on the first day, the police will think the killer will surely co the next day, so their vigilance won’t decrease. But by the third day, when people grow tired and weary, there may be an opportunity to exploit…”

…No, that didn’t make sense either.

Was the killer’s purpose in sending roses just to make the police increase their vigilance?

Purple Sumrs asked the two female bodyguards, “What do you think, which is safer between the hotel here and the villa by the lake?”

The female bodyguards were usually reticent. Upon hearing Purple Sumrs’s question, they looked at each other and hesitated briefly before responding, “Of course, the villa is safer. No matter how formidable the police are, there are too many people to protect; their forces are too dispersed. But at the villa, our only protection targets are Mr. Sumrs and Madam. With our people surrounding it from all sides, no one could possibly get close, unlike this hotel with its constant, chaotic flow of people.”

“But right now, the hotel should be safer,” said another bodyguard.

Purple Sumrs frowned, “Why?”

“Mr. Sumrs doesn’t trust the police and has called us all here. There aren’t many people left at the villa now.”

Purple Sumrs’s heart clenched tight and her face turned deathly pale!

“Madam?”

“Quick… let’s go back, right now!” Without a second thought, Purple Sumrs dashed for the door.
